    I wanna see a full infantry soldiers kit, not a 3 mag kit, but a full blown battle kit. We need a video on this

    • @theecrazyman94
      @theecrazyman94 3 месяца назад +92

      Everyone wants to copy kits of people in the videos rather than figure out what works best for you. These videos are foundations for you to expound your own personal experiences on. Best part about spiritus is they have fully customizable platforms. They even have a “build your kit” option

    • @Nibby802
      @Nibby802 3 месяца назад +113

      Full infantry soldiers kit? 10 mags minimum, 5L of water, and at least 48H of sustainment on just your kit. This is the base line and doesn’t include a day pack let alone a main pack

      Literally just throw 3 double mag pouches, some grenade/ 40 mm pouches, a general purpose pouch, ifak, and camelback and that's it. I'm sure it might have changed a little since I've been out but grunts don't carry anything special. Do carry a lot of weight tho

    The carabiner for hooking into the climbing ladder is huge. Climbing those with full kit is no joke, especially when the climbs to get to the deck can be LONG. I once fell into the North Sea from about 50 feet up because I didn't have one that could reach the rungs and my arms gave out. Wasn't the only one who fell, either.

AFSOC SR routinely send over students to participate in Recon’s advanced courses such as RTLC or others offered in conjunction with EOTG in almost every class tack. Hell even when MARSOC was first stood up (and it’s predecessor, Det One) they were all pulled from the Force Reconnaissance companies since their mission set and necessary capabilities were already there. They have the resources, they already have black side missions today, and they are most certainly not something you should underestimate.

    Do the Force Recon guys miss having a 1911 vs the G19/M18

      No

    • @WeaponizedNerd
      @WeaponizedNerd 3 месяца назад

      The 1911 was a great gun but there are a few shortfalls that makes it hard to say yes. Magazine capacity, and the gun fitment being so tight that if you get sand/dirt in the slide it may be difficult to function. The M18 has fixed both of those issues and it's an easy gun to shoot well. There will always be something that just feels right about a 1911 though...

    • @PSWaveRelay
      @PSWaveRelay 3 месяца назад

      No. The nostalgia of the 1911 is ther just because recon was the last to field it. It shot beautifully, but the lighter 9mm pistol with a far greater round count per mag is always a win.

    • @EricVernor
      @EricVernor Месяц назад

      Go 2011....same pluses of 1911, but double stack 9mm, same 20 rounds. Add red dot and x300 light!

    I never thought how do you counter a VBSS? If you let say "handle" them there's still the air power. The boats and limited space. 2:31 so setting fire to ship? to cause a lit and hazardous enviorment. So at that point if the ship has enemies would be better to trap them on the ship and chip away at them to prevent escape and prevent (if the assets are willing) to fire on the ship and destroy it. Defending against this is a nightmare.

      @PSWaveRelay watched it, and a vbss mission Russian GRU did in late 2000s. Same principle. Trapping the force first. Then, detering the assets. Like boats and choppers.
