Intro Song: "Issa Trap" by Mikey Geiger
Something I'll never forget from Halo Reach, the description of the leg-mounted medkit. "REMEMBER: This is YOURS, for when YOU get hit."
I think about that everytime I see my IFAK on my kit.
Halo Reach is legendary
Clint reminds me of a guy that wears a green sweater. Take a shave dude.
“Some people in Ukraine thought the same thing” absolutely one of the coldest lines of 2023 so far and I’m here for it
Coldest in a good way in case that’s not clear
Ya, if it was in Russian 🇷🇺 🤣
Cringe
@@bostonbluntFor fuck's sake there's always gotta one of you
What is he referring to? I know the conflict of course, but is Russia not running plate carriers or something?
Could you guys please do more reviews on plate carriers and plates and stuff like that. This content is very interesting
Agreed
Yes
Agreed
@@jordan50489 pHi
Also could you guys show us a budget set up and a lightweight set up? (I have back problems but still don't want to die during the apocalypse lol).
Would like to see a "prequel" showing base models , different types ,brands , prices etc. For noobs.
I think Garand Thumb has a lot of videos like that
Trex arms has great videos on that
Honestly, any PC you might be interested in has a few videos on RUclips.
Agreed! And battle belt setups for training and stuff
@@willwalker3175 train with the battle belt you would take to battle, adjust the things that don't work for you and optimize it for yourself
Hey guys, I really appreciated the section on tourniquets. It’s so important to know how to apply a tourniquet but also having a working tourniquet to actually saves lives. Saving lives with your plate carrier is the whole point. Good stuff Kaya and Clint!
Clint, maybe don't interrupt your guest so much when he's talking and explaining things. Let him talk.
Concur. Way too much interruption.
I know adhd when I see it and I see it. Glowstick toss game fits.
I always come back to this video to read this comment and then watch the vid , it’s so fukn funny
Don’t like it don’t watch ..
@@clon662b3 did someone not have their baby bottle this morning
Who’s the little boy… Oh, it’s Clint without a hat.
Looking kinda Zelensky-ish. Definitely needs a hat or more facial hair
Yeah, the hat never seems to come off probably for advertising purposes. It's good to see a normal head every once & a while.
Use the whole bottle of Hair Club for Men to die his hair
@@bigDrob i see you have a preferred type……🧐
I bought a tourneguit from Amazon and all this time didn't know to check for the CAT writing u guys just saved me from finding out the hard way if it came down to me using it on myself or somebody else defiantly checking out other options now
As a corpsman turned civ in 2020, something I’ll always remember my guys said to me….if you won’t be out for long. Essentials only. If you don’t know, be thoughtful on what you might need. Cause the end of the day, ounces=pounds and pounds=pain.
Just like those Rangers in Gothic Serpent thought!
We aren't gonna be out for long, ditch the night Vision, no need for water. I would always grab the main course bag of my MRE, just in case...
yeah i wouldnt wanna get pounded out there
I always recommend that outside your own med kit, keep a separate TQ accessible to yourself, many many reasons. Self TQ could save your life if you're separated from your team/alone for whatever reason. And yes, stage it for one handed deployment.
“One is none, two is one”
Keep two tqs staged on yourself
@@99cobra2881 Definitely. I've deployed 2 TQs on one patient a few different occasions as a FF/EMT in a major metro
One for each limb
No reason to not have 100 tourniquets at all times
I run two tourniquets directly available to myself. One on my right side belt, one on left side of the vest because you never know which arm may or may not work.
Cliff: **pulls out the skeletac plate carrier**
Kaya: "That subtle off-white coloring, the tasteful thickness of it... Oh my God"
Definitely one of the best so far very informative & very enjoyable.
I was a Marine too. Have a Spartan carrier. Noticed that the small arms protection is different from what I had when I was in, we had the point blank flak jacket with more realestate on them. But these new ones are far and away more comfortable.
I’d love a build list of those plate carriers!
I work for 5.11, and some of the "know it alls" that come in my store about make me fall out laughing sometimes, especially when they try to sound born again hard in front of the girlfriend or wife. Glad you guys got the real deal!
love 5.11, they make so much great stuff.
Clint, let him get a word in.
My favorite plate carrier is the defense mechanisms and honestly for the price you can’t go wrong with the light weight level iv shellback plates
This has been my mission for 2023 to build and test a plate carrier for myself. I’m thinking level 4 metal plates because I live in a rural area so I’m far more likely to get shot at by a larger caliber so the extra weight and protection will be worth it
Don't go steel dude, you'll regret it, go lvl4 ceramic
Can yall put out a list with all the equipment/pouches for each plate carrier respectively. Thanks!
"As a cop I'm trying to adjust to civilian life" funny story bro you were always a civilian
seriously. what a weird comment that was.
@@garrettzkool63 it's just the classic elitist views cops have anymore that they are above regular folks
Yea bro thinks he just go back from Iraq
I am running Spartan Armor Hercules level 4 plates in a Condor lightweight carrier with level 3A 6x6 side panels and a triple mag pouch tucked into the kangaroo pouch of the plater carrier. Simple and slick. I also have a Safelife 3A+ full wrap around vest I wear for campaign events under my suit.
I got dad shorts and t shirt…
Nice try
You have campaign events under your suit?
Mine looks good over a Hawaiian shirt, cargos and monarch IVs
@@kalanipitmon7817 You will see it in my 2A video.
I run the Agilite same as Kaya using their mag pouch for the front with their six pack hanger pouch. Med kit I keep on my belt, building one for my kit (new setup). Absolutely have a TQ already, first things first.
Still setting this carrier up due to a recent move and different terrain so different colors needed. And why not.
Bring back Alek. Even if it’s just a guest appearance
What happened to Alek?
Alek got his own business i believe bc clint said something about it one day
I like the idea of being able to shoot a round without the mag. I always have one in the chamber. Again, no matter what, the gun is always loaded. Check, pull the magazine l, clear the chamber, and still verify that your gun is empty before dry fire or cleaning your firearm
I run an AR 500 XL carrier with level 4 steel plates.(im a big guy) It is a fairly heavy setup but I like the durability, multi-hit capability and heat resistance when stored in a vehicle for long periods with the steel plates. As a Tactical Medic, NAR is the best place for medical gear. The "team" med kit is great but consider a CAT tourniquet in the center line of your body for self-application too. If it is off on one side, most people will have a hard time reaching across or around their plate carrier if wounded on that side.
I also run 6 mags, two pistol mags, a blade and a chest mounted holster for an Glock and a small trauma kit. Oh yeah, also a back mounted Camelback. Heavy but very useful setup. Very little is worn on my belt. Thats just my setup and my 2 cents.
Excellent video. Would be good to see more "setup" videos like trauma kits, carriers, go bags, etc.
Bruh as someone who’s saving for ceramic with all the knowledge in the world why are you cool with catching shrapnel in ya face.
@@bricketdabrown9607 The AR500 plates have a non-spalling coating on them. I have actually tested this on a buddys plate and it does stop the spalling feom coming up into your face.
I wondered about the tourniquet on one side, and like to be able to reach with either hand, like you said. TQ's aren't very heavy, so maybe carry in multiple places.
@@fog8969 Some recommend multiple tourniquets in multiple locations, such as upper body for arms and cargo pockets for leg wounds. I always recommend center of body up front. I also carry a trauma bag on tbe front of my carrier which has 2 more in it that can be reached by either hand. Another location which works well are the top of the plate carriers shoulder straps since they can also be reached by either hand. Where ever you decide, carry more than one, be able to reach them with both hands, always keep them in the same place and remember, your tourniquets are for you not someone else who is wounded.
I learned....some people call it overkill....4 limbs....4 tourniqets. For me common sense.
Hello gentlemen little info i’ve learned while serving( air force cop) and transitioning to ready up vet RMA armament has sapi plats for about 150-170 single curve with multicurve at about 170 ish they are multi hit rated . I learned from em from working with local civi side law enforcement who had to buy their own plates . They are good to go.
Only issue I have with a setup like this is the price. And I know what your going to say. How do you put a price on your life. And I believe they take advantage of that because it cost so much to get a good setup. Including myself I have 5 people in my family and to fit everyone with armor it would be thousands of dollars. So yes I would love to see CF do more body armor giveaways
RMA Armament/Defense has armor at very good prices. Check them out.
You can get budget stuff which is fine and effective. And you don't need to equip your whole family. Only equip the people who are less than 250 lbs and more than 100 lbs because armor will likely be an issue for anyone else. Unless you have a body builder who is 300 lbs then cool.
RTS has steel plates for a good price and amazing spall protection. And some of their plates are a good weight.
Battlesteel is what I use. There lvl 4 is great at stopping rounds and cheap.
Condor MPOC is a good place carrier.
Military surplus pouches are out there and cheap. Especially USMC gear. In fact, USMC plate carriers are out there (last I checked) and relatively well priced.
I would not buy armor for anyone who won't train in it. So you should be able to get kitted in armor for $400-$500 per person and probably only equip 1-3 of your 5 people.
If you want the carrier and pouches and stuff check out platforms people sell airsoft stuff on. I used to play Airsoft and know a lot of people that would buy good plate carrier and pouches and stuff since it got used a lot and the cheap stuff wouldn't hold up. I have purchased a lot of my gear 2nd hand like that and saved a bunch of money. Mira safety has very reasonably priced plates sold individually so you could always buy 1 at a time and spread the cost out over the long run.
Equip the folks who will most likely be poking holes first. The folks being protected by them are fairly well screwed if the protector(s) go down anyway so plan accordingly IMO.
Price is the reason some of the stuff on my PC is improvised, like I've got basic compact tools and a collapsible spade(never know when it'll come in hand)
This is why you carry a secondary medical kit gear does get lost during the heat of battle redundancy is a must
4:29 You were ALWAYS civilian.. Law enforcement is not military... THIS is the mindset these days of Law Enforcement. US against YOU.
He legit said he has military background, the dude in the black hoodie is LEO
Little bit of outsider info CAT tourniquet in the UK aren’t all adapted to NAR so don’t have the red tab you can still get hold of the NAR with red tab British Armed Forces use both NAR and the standard ones just make sure you use a company who supply medical equipment and shouldn’t be paying less than £25 and run upto £35 we in the UK are hard pushed to find many NAR medical equipment without direct imports
"Those level 4 plates?" Gold.
I love the idea of off duty military or law enforcement guys training off the job, taking their job seriously.
I'm here for the "what if" guys

P.s. got an agilite k19 gen3. It is really nice!
I love hearing the reasoning why people set up their vests the way they do. I got most of the same things on my vest in similar locations. No chem lights
The way Clint looks at the camera after saying "it will never happen here" says it all for the current direction of the state.
That Agilite K19 is dope. But, do not sleep on the Tacticon Battle vest elite! It is in Every way, stitch for stitch, IDENTICAL to the K19 for way less. I got mine last holiday season for 75 bux and I love it
Tacticon is china made
Just saw some of their stuff tested today and it definitely performed above it's cost👍
I’m definitely looking into one of those
I run a very similar Agilite K19 setup as Kaya. Great carrier.
I think you had a multi tool but if you didn't I would add that. Also a short knife. Shorter than a K-Bar, but longer than a folder. Ukraine is a great example on why you should be prepared. Also the shortages that Russia is having. Great conversation and ideas!!! Great Video!!!
Hey Clint! Would you guys at CF ever do an ultimate bug out giveaway? Like plate carrier, body armor, Mira gas mask, med kit, and of course an amazing battle rifle giveaway?
(See my comment in the main section.)
says the guy who only buys lotto tickets when jackpot exceeds 1billion
The question "What if?" is what keeps you prepared and ready for when that situation come to fruition.🎉 always ask what if.
Would be interested in a more in-depth video of the K19 carrier itself 🤙🏼
Worked in the Golans for over 2 years. K19 rocks...Agilite has vids
Loved the video! Very informative. Part 2 battle belts?
The army has you turn in all your First Aid Kit packs but nobody took the materials inside of them. So now I have 4 full combat improved first aid kits in my truck at all times😂
Dude you look so much younger with that cut lol like late 20s haha 🤣 adding to comment, can you do a vid for what is best to get when SHTF situation?
Who doesn't like being ready for a fight, I want to be ready.
Fantastic video guys.
Building up my K19 at the moment, so it's a great help.
Ordered one myself over the weekend 🤙🏼
“Hey.. was that your pistol mag?” 😂
I think this is the first channel I’ve seen rocking the Aglite. I wore one for work before and I like it very much!
Those level four plates?
...
Run!
When will we see some more helmet testing, the guard dog helmet did so well against 12 gauge and 44 mag it seems like it could survive a 300 blk out round, would love to find out just for shits and giggles…
Give away Idea. Having a complete load out would be awesome. Rifle, pistol, plate carrier, first add, magazines the whole 9 yards. Really like the content guys. rumble it
My favorite piece that carries from PC to PC is the placement of my IFAK. Yall are 100% right, its for me, but not to be used by me. It's not something that I need access to on the regular. So mine always found itself behind my left arm where my arm would be when I am in a standing squared off shooting position. It allowed me to have a support for that arm to help keep me in a steady position in the standing, but man was it next to impossible for me to access it if I needed to myself.
Ive always wanted my medkit on right next to my mag pouches. Reason being, if youre shot or down, you wont be on your stomach. You'll be on your back. Makes it easier for a buddy or yourself to get what you need especially f you run into someone who is MISSING a piece of med gear you can use yours easily and move on.
Interesting, but when I got hit I was immediately on my stomach… why ? It’s hard to keep situational
Awareness when you’re on your back .
On EMT Scissors, buy one and keep in your center console or near by...Many people have died when they couldn't release their seatbelt after a crash or a water immersion.
Clint rocking the CF-69 patch on the front of his kit lol
Kayas jabs are so nonchalant and smooth, I love it 😂😂😂 he’s just so suave about it
For those following along with gear recommendations: TraumaPAK is from Hight Threat Innovations.
thank you!
Lol I got a USAF telling me this is what I suggest you me building my load out "oh it's for fishing".😂😂😂😂😂
CF-69 Raaaah lmfao that's awesome dude!
Abolish the ATF.
This is my favorite youtube channel
The thing I would argue against the medical kit being in the back is that the standard for TCCC is "admister self aid" before you get the person. Having that self aid kit ready available makes the difference there
Sell me that Sks on the wall behind you !! I thought y’all were out of them 🤔😂.
2 guys at the range "So, is that a pistol mag in your pocket, or you just happy to see me?"
"I don't have a pistol mag..."
I run an Agilite K19 as well. Level 4 ceramics w/ level 3 6x6 soft armor side inserts…you guys didn’t speak of the benefit of trauma pads behind your plates. I also have a concealable SafeLife 3a+ wrap around with stab/puncture resistance (I live downtown Chicago after all).
I have my tourniquet where you cf-69 patch is. My is more LEO based because i grew up in law enforcement
Video idea. Can you guys do a top 5 battle for best multi tool to keep in your kit
its funny you mentioned the glowsticks expiring, i actually have some that expired back in like 2015. i broke one to test it a few months back and it worked just fine, in fact it glowed for 3 days.
Jack is a good man, I've trained with him a few times!
Honestly, you should have two med kits/IFAK kits on your person during duty hours, tactical training, tactical operations/combat in open terrain and urban environments, bodyguard/Executive Protection work.
Kaya mentioned that he replaced/ removed the quick release buckles on the shoulder straps. What did he use to replace them with? From the video it sort of looks like J or G Hook buckles.
kaya: “of course it wasnt my pistol mag”
clint: 😅
Great video. Wish you had a list of the links for the gear y’all have.
Best tourniquet test is to use it in yourself and see if it works, this only works if you know what it’s supposed to feel like and know how to properly apply though.
Ngl, got me with the, “Is that your pistol mag?”
Would be nice if you had a category on your website for plate carrier and belt loadouts. Everything you carry online for that set up in one category. Minus you holster and mags and what not.
If Band of Brothers taught me anything, carry extra medical equipment, tourniquets, and scissors.
Whiskey, weed, and ammo seem like must haves as well. 🤙🏻
I think that Ukraine shot was directed to those airsofters hopping into a half million dollar armored vehicle. LoL
Tip: Only wear your "made in China" plate carrier to the airsoft battlefield!🙏 LMFAO
Edit: are you rockin' a hip holster on the side of your carrier? Mate with the hat n black hoodie of course..
I've had the same shellback banshee gen1 since 2011. My fiance has a crye jpc cause it was the only pc we could find small enough, her issued iotv was huge
Thanks for sharing.
Really appreciate it.
But, LMMFAO ! !
Seeing the CF-69...
I can't stop subconsciously
Super imposing "TK-421"
Great intel included.
Thanks again.
I'm happy Clint went away with the whole cop look.
Is there a parts list. Would love to see where the stuff is available.
every single piece of advice this guy is giving out is for a soldier who is part of the US Army with overhead air support medevac, and the full logistic backing of a massive military. Absolutely none of this applies to a guerrilla warfare situation where you have no support. so either you’re role-playing for fun and then go for it or if you’re planning to use this in the only war you might ever be in that would be a guerrilla war and you need to look at what Gorillas used in Vietnam not what soldiers use when they have endless support. also level four plates are to stop the 30-06 armor piercing steel round which almost doesn’t exist in America in any form so a level 3+ plate will stop every single bullet that will be around in America.
10:19 Your gun is digging into my hip!
Love the channel! Let Kaya finish a sentence jeebus!
7th cav here. where yall talking about flex cuffs is not an issue if you double tap the skull.
thanks this video helps a lot. could you do one for more of a like emergency survival/evasion end-of-the-world type build??
I use green chem lights in camping bathrooms, break them upon and scatter predator blood everywhere. Last camp I had a blue tooth speaker to stream the sounds. Only at an appropriate time of night of course
Dude called it before you picked it up, Love my Agilite K19
The plate carriers I have been thinking about are the Crye Precision CPC (cage plate carrier) or the Shellback Tactical SF plate carrier. Plates would be Highcom 4S17 or Hoplite 26300.
From experience I would go with the Crye setup you mention all day! Serious stuff that is made for serious situations. I also like the highcom plates if you are still deciding!
I like kaya's plate carrier !
Yea, I’m just a civilian, but his shyt looks legit.
Great video. It has been 8 months. Would still love a plate carrier loadout giveaway. A helmet with decent (or even military grade) night vision monocular would rock. Of course mags and a great IFAK would be outstanding. Forget a rifle. Awesome night vision would be even better.
Kaya stepped right into that one.
Would like a video on some basic cls training from you guys. Lots of people carry around trauma kits and have no idea how to use them
Decent idea but you really need hands on for that kind of stuff. Stop the bleed classes will cover usage of most of the equipment and are usually free.
Or go to school and become an AEMT or medic like I did 😂😂
What does the CF stand for? I think I know, but wanna hear it from the source 😁
What about Safelite or Safelife bullet proof vest ? If you are going to talk about bullet type of vest.
scisors, tourniquet and flexcuffs on the right side... not too bulky? no need for space to reach for your secondary?
You gotta try one of the Blue Force Gear IFAKs
I heard once that plates carries are for 3 things,
1) stop holes
2) make holes
3) plug holes
👌🏽
Why is there not a list of all of the equipment?
I was wondering this too
