Ive been a metal and hard core punk kid since the earily 80s and raised on a steady diet of earily punk and hard rock from birth. Now playing it to my grand kids as classical music.... lol
Bro, as an older metal head, watching you react to this is like i’m listening to it again for the first time. Thank you for that. Genuinely. You’ve got such a journey ahead of you mate, you’ve no idea. Excited to see it 🤘🏼
Same from me! I’m 54 and been a metal head since the early 80s. It’s so enjoyable to relive the moment with someone hearing this music for the first time!
I'm 70 years old. I LOVE your videos. You have a genuiness (not a word, I know) about your videos that keeps me coming back. Regarding the older videos, you may listen to them now, but some of us have lived through them. Thank you for your honest opinions and thank you for letting me remember all the good times!
Yes it is! The version from Resurrection Fest 2023 is also really cool, Corey has a really cool rasp in his voice there and the overall performance is also really great.
I will keep saying this! Your channel is my new favorite! I literally check everyday to see what you have reacted to. I’m right there with you with becoming a new metal head in the last year or less. Ever since I saw Avatar, they’ve opened the door to metal for me. But I love how the music is so good, it makes you emotional. It’s the same for me & I’ve never found someone else like that! So I super appreciate you & your genuine reactions! I love this channel! Thank you!

I got into slipknot in 2020, they’ve completely changed the trajectory of my life along with Metallica, I’d recommend “Nero forte” as it’s one of those songs that got me into them in the first place
Being a Metalhead most of my life I can say that once you're infected you're infected brother metal never leaves you whether you're having your best day or your worst day there's always a metal song to describe how you feel on the inside God it's such a beautiful thing
MAchine Head - Davidian They are a great blend of Pantera and 80s Thrash bands like Metallica. Especially this Song since its one of their heaviest and the one that made them popular in the 90s. Another great pick would be To the Hellfire by Lorna Shore, cause it is a great introduction to multiple styles of Metal and also more modern Stuff.
I’m mostly stuck on my old metal Music and then my kids had me listen to this! Slipknot is in a class all by themselves. They just came on the scene and blew everyone away! Much respect to them. Corey can scream and sing beautifully. Just amazing!
I grew up with my dad listening to bands like Slipknot and I was 15 maybe 16 the first time I seen them live. In my opinion Slipknot is one of the best bands I’ve ever seen live.
Veryyy good pick. Slipknot puts on an amazing show I seen them live with Gojira( one of my favorite death metal bands) and behemoth. It is amazing. If you ever get a chance to see them do it.
This is a band I haven’t heard enough of so I’m glad for another stab. Great reaction. I’m thinking you’d prolly like Sevendust, their riffage has a similar bent to Slipknot, great vox too. Dude have you been to a metal show yet? You’re ready for one. Rawk!
Slipknot is one of the staples of nu metal. They are timeless and they’re shows are 🔥🔥 glad I’ve got to see them live a couple times seeing them again on April 😅 🤘🏼 try listening to motionless in white: reincarnate. You’ll like them forsure
Great reaction. These guys were my favourite band at 16 and were my gateway to heavy music. Haven't listened to them since this album but as you know this is a banger! Funny thing I've got tickets to see them later in the year, I was like why not? Should be a wild ride😂
Excellent choice of a song man, bravo!!! It's great to a see a new Gen guy become a metal head like yourself, I feel your reactions and know they're genuine, keep going bro
They are from my home state of Iowa and true story my nephews wife grew up across the street from Joey J and rode the school bus with him and after he passed my sister went to the funeral and she gave me a rock with a engraved cross 2 pair of sticks the actual obituary and a unopened can of coots beer with the logo on the lid. Only people who receive this was the ones invited to the luncheon after the burial. True Fukin story. If I could send pictures I would 🤘🤘❤️‼️ and I’m 52 and been a metal head since 76’
Corey has a beautiful voice when he sings with clear vocals. Stone Sour is his other band and also worth checking out. That band is less wild than Slipknot. 'Through Glass' is a good song.
Bruv, love the channel, so glad to see a younger generation finding this music to fall in love with. Metal is deep, enduring, and can invoke so many emotions. Cannot wait for you to do Snuff and Until we die (RIP Paul). You Should also check out Dead Memories. Keep up the awesome work man, you journey has just started and we are hear for it ALL...LETS GOOOOOO!
This is my favorite era of Slipknot. It's New Wave of American Heavy Metal Slipknot. It's less nu-metal and more pure modern metal. Not so modern anymore, but its very reflective of that era. Hard verses and melodic chorus is from metalcore and to an extant Melodic Death Metal. Plus that solo coming in and then after with that breakdown. Its all very reflective of that era of 2002 to 2012. Pure NWOAHM.
Finally my boy! Thank you! This is the song that got me hooked on this band. Spit it out ... live at the download festival if you want to see something different from these guys.
Pretty sure you would like/love Killswitch Engage. First try maybe "my last serenade", "Rose of Sharyn", "The End of Heartache"... All great songs... mix of harsh and clean vocals... Amazing band.
Actually, "The Devil In I" is another good one too. This and "Killpop" are both great examples of where they can be mellow and haunting and.., very aggressive.
Slipknot was the first Real Metalband ive heard when i think i was ten or something and i loved it from the beginning😂 Now i,m 25 and have it tattoed fat on my Leg. Do you ever heard to Slaughter to prevail? Just hear to Bonebreaker, Viking and Demolisher...maybe Baba yaga too😂
I'm so excited to know you are venturing down this magnificent rabbit hole. Corey Taylor's voice is beautifully soul-piercing. The band energy is unmatched. My favorites include, Spit it Out, UnSainted, KillPop, The Devil n I...etc. 😜
Slipknot has a catalog full of bangers. I recommend starting with their older stuff and work forward. You MUST see how they started. It's a joy to see you appreciate Slipknot.
I think the appeal of Nu Metal is that every song is a roller coaster ride. You feel like you get jerked around and can’t see what’s coming next and just when you think you’re getting comfortable another big drop comes. I think that’s part of why the reactions get so much traction, we all remember the first time we heard each of these songs and were completely mind blown. 😂
How I terrorized my parents with Slipknot 24 years ago... 😅 Please, you have to check out a live performance of this band. Really, I'm not bullshitting you. Do it. You will love it. "Spit It Out", "Custer", "The Heretic Anthem" or "Vermillion PT. 2" are great to see live. Cheers Mate
What I like especially with this, is the fact that many metal songs are ‘singing’ through verses and then screaming through choruses, but this flips that completely. Welcome to metal, MollyBoy. 🤘🏻
Man you honestly remind me of me listening to all this stuff when I was in my late teens. Just totally blew me away and I was so obsessed with this whole nu metal scene. I even popped my concert cherry to seeing Slipknot live off their debut album, that changed me forever. Second band after that was Linkin Park Hybrid Theory tour. As a little kid I grew up on grunge and in my late teens nu metal. That’s what was new and happening at the time. Looking back I’m so thankful and lucky I was born and grew up in such a great era. I just turned 41 recently….. how time flies! Been watching some of your vids, love them. You’ve got a new subscriber bruv!
I've been listening to Slipknot since my Freshman year of high school in 99'. One of my favorite bands of all time. They will forever be legendary. Love this reaction from you bruv. Keep them coming dude!!
I’m 49 now but I started breakdancing when I was 9, and exclusively listened to old school hip hop until I got to about 23 years old. Now I listen to anything, but just recently I got into Slipknot and this song is fantastic. I have a Slipknot playlist I put on at the gym, I’m surprised I don’t wreck the joint 😂
As a long-time metalhead myself, who was born and raised in Iowa (the home state of Slipknot), I'm glad the new generation are finding rock and metal bands and enjoying them. Seeing you and others discovering these bands for the first time reminds me of how I felt when I first listened to them over two decades ago now. Keep rockin' MollyBoy! 🤘 EDIT: Another great song from Slipknot is "The Devil In I" which is a song about facing your greatest fears/phobias. In the music video for it, the bandmembers themselves are facing off against some of their greatest fears.
You were a metalhead and didn't even know it.
Yeah I kinda remember slipknot growing up...but I gew up in the projects and kinda doubled down on rap to fit in until my 20's...
Everybody is, once they accept it.
Absolutely.

Nothing like seeing them live. The whole place goes crazy, everyone is happy. Its a must.....
Agree!!! So much fn fun!!
Yeah I’ve seen them live once
I remember screaming to one of my friends when it was over
I want more 😂
Seen Slipknot twice and it was absolute madness both times!
I've seen them live three times, and no other concert experiences I've had compares to the Slipknot concerts.
Live is just as amazing!! Especially when you feel the beat straight throughout your chest 🙆🏻♀️
The hits just keep coming!!

"Left Behind" is a GREAT SLIPKNOT song and video
