Blizz was clearly shaping up Garrosh to be a really badass warchief during Cata. Then they realized oh wait we dont have endgame boss for Pandaland expansion.
Not really he's more like an illidan. He was a good guy but power hungry and was corrupted by old gods influence. This isn't the only time he was like this. When the Horde invaded theramore there were no civilians in there he waited on purpose for the civilians to leave.

This is the only time imo where Garrosh was likable as a character.They should have kept him a honorable conquerer instead of turning him into a genocidal maniac who suddenly went from honorable to full on evil with no impacting event to explain the sudden personality change shown, just contradictions to the story.
I am convinced that they they fucked up Garrosh's character the way they did simply because there was a huge back lash over him becoming Warchief. So the writers decided to throw him under the bus. This is my suspicion.

Then they got an idiot to write the next expansion (And every expac after) and ruined what was build from TBC to wrath and forward. RIP Garrosh, you were not killed by players, but by the developers...
Cata? Uh. This character started in Burning Crusade. He had an excelent character development starting as an upstart youth from Nagrand, through right of his blood challenging Thrall to a duel which Saurfang seperated thus beginning tutoring and mentoring Garrosh which continued into Wrath(Where you can still see today by going to Borean Tundra) culminating in this scene as the finishing of his growth as a character. Thrown away for a stupid fucking villain. Retconned.
As mainly an ally player, i never got to see this quest line. It is so strange to see Garrosh like this. I guess ally and horde 80+ kinda painted him in a similar picture.
i used to hate Garrosh as Warchief, but after this quest i had a whole new look on him, why did blizz have to turn him into a Sha-possessed maniac, hell-bent on world domination? If he was more like this i wouldn't mind if Thrall retired for good
A great moment but I feel like either Krom'gar went too ham with his lines or they had a different progression of events where Garrosh's boot was already on his throat.
There's only 2 explainations... either "Garrosh" is a fraud, and the real Garrosh is hiding somewhere, or the writers are fucking idiots who decised to throw out all his character development from Cata.

Agree with every bit of that. And if you saw the warcraft movie, what Gul’dan did to Durotan at the end was basically what Thrall did to Garrosh. And Thrall wasn’t exiled or punished or anything.

Its' not murder to kill a man that has murdered to greater scope and extent in his executioners' name and against his wishes. This wasn't murder, it was justice.

@sidewaysfcs0718 oke he might have picked a fight with vol ijn and I don't like him either but he didn't kill craine on purpose and he only heard of the things the allys did to the horde from thrall so it is logical that he doesn't understand it but...thraal is no more if things go bad in patch 4.3 so we will have to respect him as the rightful leader of the hord...FOR NOW!!! (PLZ THRALL DON'T DIE!!!)
It's a war, he didn't see the people of Theramore as innocents, because they were a growing threat against the Horde. "Pacifist Intentions", yet is you looked at Theramore throughout all of the expansions, they were fortifying, gathering supplies for war. Cata had the damn place full of tanks! It was a preemptive, end-all strike against that particular threat. Moral dilemma not withstanding, an orc assault against Theramore would've failed, hundreds(maybe thousands) of orcs would've died.

Your a sheep sir. Orgim Doomhammer is far more of a villian then Garrosh. but Orgrim is treated as a war hero. a warchief that used magic to control dragons, used deathknights in his army and sent his orcs as distractions to die to dwarves. Yet everyone loves Doomhammer but hates Garrosh.
Ofcoursse, I could be wrong. That's just how I see it. Sort of like the nukes that happened in our own history, done for the greater good of one side of the conflict. No evil, no good. Just people who lived and people who died. God, that makes me seem like an insensitive prick. :|

One of the best quest chains I've done in a while. It's very darkly themed but in good taste.
