With my Nikon Z30, I'm using it with my Feiyutech AK2000S Gimbal. The lens is so light that Establishing and Creative Shots are achievable. Plus it doesn't hurt the bank for an AF lens. I'm so loving this lens for these reasons.

I want to love mine but the aperture ring is a lil funky. When i manually set it to f4 on the lens, camera reads it as f3.5. Also another weird thing is when the ring is set to f/16, i can change the aperture using camera body. I am shooting with a sony a6000 and i am just wondering is anyone has/had the same issue. Thanks!

How does this lens compared to the Sony 20mm f2.8 pancake lens?

Oh it’s better than That lens, which is the second worst lens Sony ever made 🥴

The fact they still sell those old 20 and 24 2.8 lenses is a crime. They don’t even fully support Sony’s af systems. Just wild.

Sorry - it sounded like there is a trick to get the firmware update to work on a Mac? Did I misunderstand that? Would you mind explaining a bit more?

You can’t use a direct c to c cable. You have to use a c to a cable, usually with a c to a adapter, to make sure the computer isn’t trying to make a usb c handshake, which the lens adapter isn’t capable of. It operates on an older usb spec.

If budget is a big concern I think the Tamron is the one to get. WAY bigger, but so sharp. You can use it as a macro lens as well. I actually use the Tamron 24mm f2.8 as a negative scanning lens and it is really detailed. Great on full frame and cropped.
The Samyang can be purchased for way less than $400, but it’s a really soft lens. Loves its size, but hated the lack of detail.

The Tamron costs 67% more though. That’s a pretty big difference!

It is more expensive but in the US it seems to always be at that $199 price point. @@WesPerry Massive boost in image quality and a 6 year warranty for just $50. Biggest complaint I have is it's size. If you want to keep a small camera with a fun to use aperture dial, seems like the TTartisan is the way to go. I love their manual focus lens. So much fun.

@@I922sParkCir bigger and way more expensive. Why even bother?

Thank you. About lens...have you chance to tried the Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art ? What do you think about it ?

I’m afraid not, I don’t really have a way to get ahold of one where I am. Although I’ve only heard good things about it.
