0311 MOS Marine Infantry Rifleman in the U.S.

- The rifleman employ the M16A4 service rifle, the M4 carbine, the M203 grenade launcher, M249 squad automatic weapon (SAW), as well as the M27 Infantry Automatic Rifle, AT4 and LAW rockets. Riflemen are the primary scouts, assault troops, and close combat forces available to the Marine Air Ground Task Force. They are the foundation of the Marine infantry organization, and as such are the nucleus of the fire team in the rifle squad, the scout team in the LAR squad, scout snipers in the infantry battalion, and reconnaissance or assault team in the reconnaissance units.

Thank you Davion, good video. I agree with your guest speaker. It takes a year to settle in the Marine Corps. Amazing, not much has changed since I was in the Corps 1973 to 1977. Semper Fi from an old Marine Sgt...OUT I subscribed too.

SOI is a vacation before getting to the fleet...they of course dont tell you that lmao...prepare for two years more of bootcamp...hopefully you get a good squad leader...not always the case...luckily i had one of the best Marines come over to take my squadleaders place...learned a lot and became a good squadleader myself until being replaced my a SGT who came back in with more time in grade... got bumped to first team leader but thats the name of the game...boots learned what was necessary under my tenure and the machine kept on runnin'...

@@Boyboy-sd2rr Well the thing is now at SOI they implemented a new program called IMC instead of ITB, and everyone becomes an 0311 but they train in more areas, like rocket launchers and machine guns. So if you go infantry nowadays you're most likely gonna get 0311.

Like I tell all the young men who aspire to become a Grunt. If you wanna get something out of the Military and find out a little about yourself. Find a job that transfers into the civilian world. If you want to fully find out about yourself and what's deep down in the pit of your soul, join the Infantry. I respect Army Infantry also, they got some hammers over there.

II know the draft age is up to 35 & I'm not that old, but am willing to do anything it took to earn that age waiver for my age of 32 and see," I started the process when I was 28 turning 29, & the recruiter for the reserves was willing to work with me for the age of 30 turning 31, but it's been a year & I had family matters I had Obligations to tend to & I hope if I can pass all requirements, that I'll be assigned a really cool job to help my team / platoon / people & if I'm blessed to earn that honorable title of becoming a United States Marine Corps Marine, then i promise you that i will come back & thank you on here, for giving me advice / leading the way for young men like me, who just needed a little insight on what the mos's of first & secondary where, with respect, & sincere apologies, the autocorrects effected this letter that had needed serious editing, Sirs !

You can only go to those 3 places? No chances at Korea japan, or any combat places?
Things are always changing so you might.
Those are places where you are stationed. It's where you will be living and doing most of your training. Going to a combat zone is a deployment which is around 7 months in the Marine Corps. After the deployment you get a small vacation and return back to were you were stationed which would be one of the three main Marine bases in the US.

So my best friend is joining Army and his GrandPa looks at me and says son i see a Devil Dog inside of u there is a ton of mystery and hidden potential about u that u can unlock and your young strong physical i see a Marine and son if u are not doing anything in life JOIN THE CORE!!!! I regret not joining when i was your age that's what he told me then he saw right through me and he said u don't have to say it but there is something bothering u in your life and your trying to escape and this will make u a man and give u experience and he locked eye's with me and he said i want you to remember something follow your fucking heart and all night i thought about he said and this is what I'm meant to do in life i feel calling to serve my country so I'm going to contact a recruiter and enlist

chris agurs they say a GT score of 90 to qualify for 0311, which is pretty hard to get. Tbh I’m still very confused how it goes
Yea that's what it says but I was just wondering if that was still accurate
chris agurs I’m pretty sure it’s still accurate. I just hope get at least a 35+ score on the ASVAB and after boot camp I can take classes to boost up my GT score to a 90 to qualify for 0311, if that’s how it works.
