    I love the 3/4 stitch on the dragon. It makes the dragon VERY striking! The Dragon need to be strong.

    Love this joint effort! It's so fun to see two friends sharing their love of stitching. I have been subscribed to Samantha and don't know how I missed her joint video last month. I will go back and look for it. I haven't started a dragon but I have a wizard going. I guess there is not Year of the Wizard😁Stitch on!

    Stitchin Mommy, Sarah Hughes is stitching Dragon Ridder for her son. Thank you for a great video! I’m still stitching my dragon but it’s slow going this month as you can tell by how late this post is. 😂💛🪡💛

    Very enjoyable video once again😊 I love the nice calm, stitching related, chit-chat between you two, seeing your progress and all those new, fabulous dragon patterns!!! I haven't started mine yet but I will soon, hopefully, just need to get done with some other things that were in line 😛Thank you ladies, looking forward to the next one 🥰🐲🧵🪡
    P.S. I've already told Arica once and I'll say it again. Compare to what you two stitch, stitching a HAED would be a walk in the park. Yes, it's a different way of stitching but it's not difficult and it's really fun. I would choose a mini one though, because they do really need a lot of time. If I could I'd switch the HAED I am stitching right now to its' mini version. Stitching the same thing for ten years isn't really my thing, whilst with the mini versions, (when they exist), you get almost the same result and you can finish it in an acceptable time.

    • @FibersandFlossCanada
      @FibersandFlossCanada  7 месяцев назад +1

      I think you hit the nail on the head here - the issue is stitching the same project for 10 years - who wants that?? This is my reservation…: I am eyeing some minis tho ;)
      Thanks so much for tuning back in today :)

    I know that story from the Childcraft Encyclopedias! It’s about two little boys. One is named Bertl. The boy who shrinks brings food to him, because Bertl looks a bit careworn. One of the bits of food he brings is a meatball which is about the same size as Bertl. That encyclopedia was #3 “Children Everywhere”. ❤

    • @FibersandFlossCanada
      @FibersandFlossCanada  7 месяцев назад

      Hmmmm that’s not sounding familiar…? Was the boy sent to his room? Did he go down into the walls of his house?
      It’s funny bc so many of my childhood memories are actually different than what actually occurred so who knows! My sister is coming for dinner tmr so I will see if this rings a bell for her :) thanks for tuning in and possibly solving my mystery!

    I’m not doing your SAL but this was fun seeing what everyone is doing and listening to you chatting. Please keep doing these floss tubes. I also loved the Little People books. Have you noticed how many cross stitchers are readers? 👍🪡🧵🐉

      @FibersandFlossCanada  7 месяцев назад

      Thanks for sharing some time with us :) YES! So many stitchers and knitters are readers too! I think I find more knitters listen to audible so they can do both at the same time. I couldn’t imagine my errors if I stitched while listening to a book lol!

    I just bought Kreinik and it arrived with my normal order. No panic because I didn’t know too. 😂 It seems to me that the 🧵 spools don’t allow for any crimping up the edges that winding on the cards would.

    Thanks for the shout out! I hadn’t even heard of the pattern you were talking about! Good stuff to know!
    Btw, most Welsh Dragon patterns will be identical in shape, since they’re taking it directly from the Welsh flag 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

    Hi ladies. Another great show and tell, if you will, of all the magnificent dragon pieces that are being stitched for Year of the Dragon SAL. Thanks for the shout out for my piece. I have continued to work on my dragon, although admittedly not as diligently as before. I have stitched 7,154 as of this moment which is only 5.96%. I'm sure I'll get more motivated as the colors start to come through. I love the designs you have each chosen, but talk about difficult stitches. But, I guess that's just what we do. Thanks again and happy stitching. Pat Tackaberry. P.S. I'll post another picture before your next flosstube date (May 10th I think).

    I wonder if the book you're looking for is "Nils Karlsson pyssling" by Astrid Lindgren. Translated into English as "Simon Small moves in"
    The plot sounds very similar.
    I'm not familiar with the Childcraft series but it wouldn't be surprising if there was a Lindgren story in any collection from the 70s.
    If it is the book - it's also been turned into a movie - though only in Swedish AFAIK.

    I enjoyed this video. However, I am having a hard time with my dragon. Lost my zeal due to two false starts because of my fabric choices. Found another fabric only to cut it too small. Now I have to stitch over one and I have never done that before 😢

    Hi Arica & Samantha, it was me that sent the message about Krienik thread. I’m sorry Samantha I really hope they don’t put the metallic filament on cards, I got some on a card bobbin in my Dragon Heart kit and the kinks in it nearly drove me crazy! It made it even harder to stitch.
