Just because you say it is rape doesn't make it rape. The definition of rape varies from location to location and is completely based on the laws that govern that land. That's why in some states an 18 year old can be convicted of rape for having sex with a 16 year old, and in others a 95 year old man can have consensual sex with a 16 year old.

Would’ve been more satisfying for sure! The show runners have a bad habit of missing the authors subtle but important details but oh well season 4 is still amazing 🤷🏽♂️
Great banter in this video -- really amusing. And yes, Spartan, you nailed it with Littlefinger's involvement in Joffrey's death. Both of you are getting really insightful with the plot twists.
High Valerian is a beautiful language. And they've had experts flesh out an entire language from the phrases spoken in the book/show. You can learn High Valerian on Duolingo. The language of Dany, Raynerea, Daemon.... Valar Morghulis
You were discussing how Jon Snow was so naive in the beginning. In seasons 1&2 Jon demonstrated his leadership skills in multitudinous ways. He told Bran that he had to watch the beheading and that his father would know if he weren't watching. Rob should have been the one doing that. He's the one who told his father that they should keep the direwolves. He's the one who encouraged Arya and gave her the sword needle. After the end of season 4 you should go back and watch the first episode again. You will be shocked at how much is disclosed in the first episode. Second episode also but the point is made in episode one like you wouldn't believe. You should record it too. We would have fun watching your eyes bulge on how much you missed. Real fans have done this.
About Joffrey's murder. Contrary to what you said, it is built up... only it is done in a very subtle way. In the retrospect you can see how all Joffrey's done, all his crimes and atrocities lead up to his murder. And there is one particular scene (from season 3) when you can see the exact moment the decision to murder him was made, who made that decision and why. You cannot see this when you watch for the first time, because the characters reactions seem to be rather underwhelming but in the hindsight... And the roots of the whole conspiracy can be traced back into season two as well. Also, Tywin's reaction to Joffrey's murder seems to be rather underwhelming. Because at that point, he kind of sees Joffrey not as an asset but as an liability. There are some fan theories speculating that Tywin might have known you was behind Joffrey's murder but he didn't give a damn about it because this was to way to get rid of Joff. And also, that Tywin used Joffrey's murder as an opportunity to get rid of Tyrion as well. In the retrospect, Joffrey wasn't punished severely for what he's done because he was more an obstacle and not a genuine player. And only Cersei could have been deluded enough to think that given his character, Joffrey could survive and actually rule. If you think about it, all JOffrey had ever done was tormenting Sansa and other courtiers, as well as punishing and terrorizing the citizens of King's Landing = and that's only one city in the whole realm. And during his rule he made only one crucial decision - to kill Ned Stark. And even that decision (in all probability) was not his idea - this was set up by someone's else. We can discuss this once you reach episode 7 of this season (then you can fully understand what and who orchestrated the whole war as well). Yes, Joffrey was a monster, he was cruel, petty yet at the same time he was kind of dumb. Moreover, the real players of game of thrones are much more ruthless and, usually, work in the shadows. Just like Littlefinger who is, arguably, the best player of them all (although the fans are actually divided here, between him and Varys).
I mean with the Baelish/Dontos deal, Pudgey actually picked up on a hint whereas Spartan just, basically, guessed Littlefinger may be involved cause he's sneaky Gotta give it more to Pudgey
Pudgey trying to weasel in on Spartans "half" correct guess. Look how proud he is thinking he got it right. LOL. However, little Finger still has a few tricks left.
The encounter between Jaime and Cersei was very controversial among fans at the time. In the books this happened, but it was clearly consensual, so it felt like they made it non consensual to shoehorn more violence into the show (when it has plenty already). And, as you said, it does seem out of character for Jaime to do such a thing. And this sort of thing is why I love Littlefinger as a villain. He always seems one step ahead of everyone else. People know he's shady but very few realize what he's actually capable of.
Jaime had just spent a long time as a prisoner of Rob, a prisoner of Brienne, and a prisoner of Locke. On top of that, he has his sword hand chopped off. Then when he comes home, the woman he loves turns her back on him. Given how much stress he's been under, I think it is perfectly within character for him to do whatever he has to to get the love that he missed for so long, even if he has to take it by force. Remember, this is a guy who had no problem pushing a child out of a window in an attempt to kill him. People seem more horrified by rape scenes than by scenes of murder, which seems weird given that murder is generally seen as the worse crime since it ends your ability to experience life any more.
@@greywolf7577 Again, in the book he managed to go through those things and still not rape the woman he claims to love. He also had just gone through a period of questioning his trajectory in life and his relationship with Cersei by the time he came back. No amount of stress justifies that. The show has plenty of violence and issues enough with other rape scenes (like how they treated Sansa) without adding more for no reason. I'm not even going to touch your last bit. Both things are horrific acts that can mess up people's lives.
Spartan for the win!!!! Yall pretty much nailed the whole scenario.... most people suspect the Tyrells but I don't know of many who think of Littlefinger. Ten points to Baelish for offing Joffrey.
Margaery did not become the ruling queen. She became Joffery's queen consort. Otherwise in HOTD when King Viserys died Alicent would have became the ruling queen. The succession is male preference primogeniture meaning that the throne passes to Joffery's closest living male relative, who happens to be his younger brother Tommen.
One of my favorite pieces of this episode is Tywin. Such a despicable human, but I hear him discussing what it takes to be a good king and I think, “Maybe the 7 Kingdoms would actually be alright if Tywin was the Hand for a king that was kind and would actually would listen to reason.” 🤷🏻♂️
It's refreshing with a show that makes viewers disappointed that a kid wasn't subjected to prolonged torture 😄 As for whether the Lord of Light was involved, who knows? It's not like any intervention would necessarily be in the form of some obviously paranormal event, it could be more subtle than that.
There was much controversy around the scene of Jaime and Cersei around the net. The writer of the episode said he wrote the scene one way and when he watched the episode he was pissed the way the scene played out. Obviously the director had decided with the actors to do something else. Nik and Lena said time and time again that they wanted the scene to speak for itself and don't want to say if it was g(r)ape or not with the viewers deciding for themselves. But it was not originally written as g(r)ape. The psychology of the scene sort of represents the toxicity of the relationship between Jaime and Cersei. She brings out the worst in him. And then you will something much different with another character Jaime interacts with in Episode 4. ;)
Cersei: "Avenge our son." Spartan: "It's the first time she said 'our son'" Pudgey: blank stare. Cersei: "He was our son." Pudgey: @_@ "SHE FINALLY SAID IT!" Third time's the charm, I guess.
shortest duel ever.well done dario!old tyvin sure has a knack for winning allies while his daughter is an expert at the opposite.makes you wonder where she got her temper from!!
The scene with Jamie and Cersei wasn’t supposed to come off that way, they just chose to film it really weird, the producers said this. In the book it’s much more clear that it’s a consensual interaction.
I think Jaime's actions in the show make sense. He was willing to push Bran out the window to try to kill him in order to keep his secret safe, so why are we surprised that he would rape someone? He had been held prisoner for a very long time and had his sword hand chopped off. Then the woman he loved turned her back on him. Then his child dies. It isn't surprising that he would do anything to get the love that he wanted, even if he had to take it by force.
Spartan did well on his predictions this go around..alas, next episode, Tommen will write a note to Marjorie using a magic Slate ( then pulling the sheet up to erase the message ) thus throwing Spartan into complete confusion and disbelief !! ;P
IMPORTANT: you should pretend Jaime didn’t rape Cersei. It was consensual in the books, and the show runners have said that it was meant to be consensual in the show as well. They just have no fucking clue how consent works and botched the scene horribly.
The chains that the catapults flung into Astapor were from the slaves she had already freed. She wanted the slaves in Astapor to see those and become inspired.
The sex at Joffreys funeral was absolutely wrong, but I do understand Jaimie in a way. He is also in grief, needing comfort & wanting to comfort Cersei. Cersei had been frustrating & punishing Jaimie for "taking too long" to come home; witholding all affection. She had always instigated & manipulated Jaimie with sex their whole lives, then she was receptive, then pushed him away. Accusing their brother & asking him to kill him, when there was no clear evidence. He was not going to take her refusal & wanted to punish her back. So wrong, but part of their messed up dichotemy.
The show-runners admit they fucked up filming the Jaime Cersei scene. Best to forget it, as in the books it never happens. It's actually Jaime who is pulling away from Cersei and not wanting to be around her.
Yep. One of the worst things this show did was water down Tyrion and make him boring. Tyrion is one of the most complex characters in the entire series and at the end he is just moving chairs around. Also the show made Joffrey a bigger character than he is in the books which really hurt Sansa’s character. He isn’t even a POV character in the books. I honestly forget about him until he dies in the books.

That's a BS excuse on the producer's behalf. I can think of half a dozen ways to make that scene less problematic than it was. I know the timeline of Jaime's arrival in the show was different, but they could have taken a different route with the scene.
C'mon. They kind of......
@@jesses5463 What is your point? That it was not r*pe?
Your reactions are by far the best. There is such a great mix of talking and reacting and it all comes together perfectly. Great job as always.
It’s the editing as well, which I think Pudgey does.
@@itss_nattyj yes your absolutely right. I should have added that as well. Thank you
Totally agreed. They’ve the right amount of commentary and reaction.
@@Tooba-K123 right ! Also they are very entertaining to listen to.
13:45 no no no spartan, pudgey legit got it too. You totally dismissed the necklece with Sansa and said that it must have been nothing just a gift.
I am ABSOLUTELY loving rewatching GoT with you guys! You have NO IDEA what is coming and I am proper enjoying your reactions! Upload them faster!!!!! lol
By the words of House Spartan;
"Far out dude."
Man, your reactiongs bring happnies to me, love your energy and jokes, and good discussion, its always fun listening to your predictions and seeing how you react when you get prediction right or wrong, your banter is great, always gets me smiling. Thank you!
❤️🙏🥳 We're glad to hear that!
Never seen Pudgey so happy I LOVE IT so much ♥️😂
The actor who plays Tommen (in season 4 and onwards) is actually the same actor who played the Lannister prisoner boy that Lord Karstark murdered at Riverrun.
I was definitely saying “Spartan not bad” because all of his predictions were correct in this particular situation 😅 Usually Pudgey is on the ball
In the book it says Joffrey was clawing the skin off his neck because he was so desperate to breath, makes it seem more gruesome.
Wow! I wish they would’ve added that in the show 😅
Would’ve been more satisfying for sure!
Jeffrey's mother/aunt and father/uncle got it on right in front of his stone eyes 🤣
“This is worst funeral ever” … great line 😂
Joffrey in the seven hells like, the fuck is going on here! My father won the real war...
Viserys (in whichever of the seven hells, as Joffrey wanders over and sits down beside him): “Ran your mouth off a bit too much, too, huh?”
High Valerian is a beautiful language. And they've had experts flesh out an entire language from the phrases spoken in the book/show. You can learn High Valerian on Duolingo. The language of Dany, Raynerea, Daemon.... Valar Morghulis
remember Littlefingers talk with Varys? "chaos is a ladder ..."
It’s Spartan’s turn to be adorable today lol *sparkly anime eyes* “I was correct!!!!!” lol
Wow Spartan hitting with some fire predictions. I cheered when he said Littlefinger
Never seen pudgey this happy now Spartan knows what to do to make pudgey smile 😂
"I knew when he walked in they were gonna make out in front of their dead son, I just knew it."
-Pudgey 2023
Nice to wake up and see another episode to watch, seeing your smile light up the screen Pudgey ,wow thankyou
Spartan being petty is something I didn't think I needed. I love it 😂
You were discussing how Jon Snow was so naive in the beginning.
I love Pudgey's laugh. It's contagious.
And the big beautiful eyes
And her big…I’ll stop
@@bradcarver8127 eyes, like I said
So sweet how emotional Pudgy gets 🤗
Tywin: King Jeoffrey is dead. Do you know what this means?
Tommen: We can party now? 😎
Tywin: Fuck yeah 😎
Both dab over Jeoffrey’s dead body
Littlefinger is my all time fav character, pure genius 👏
@@blondymonk1535 Well done idiot 🙄
Why you writing spoilers?????
You guys are so good together. You’ve become some of my fave reactors
Love how competitive you guys are getting about your predictions :D
Spartan: there is something I miss.
Me: definitely. Littlefinger is missing in the party.
Sometimes I wish they would go back to watch scenes and they can get the full answer
I mean with the Baelish/Dontos deal, Pudgey actually picked up on a hint whereas Spartan just, basically, guessed Littlefinger may be involved cause he's sneaky
Gotta give it more to Pudgey
I could honestly just watch 45 minutes of your banter 😂
Omfg thank goodness you were finally able to get through all the copyright issues! I'm THRILLED to be here this early
I don’t know why I love watching Lady Olenna talk for ages.. her character is absolutely amazing and she’s doing an incredible job with her acting.
Pudgey trying to weasel in on Spartans "half" correct guess. Look how proud he is thinking he got it right. LOL. However, little Finger still has a few tricks left.
Great reactions, you both are very cool and very nice couple! keep going! It's so good to re-watch the serie with you! love from France ;)
Damn Spartan, leaving Pudgey hanging like that... u could have still given her courtesy credit. 😄
18:13 You forget that in S1, Cersei has already openly admitted to Ned that her children were fathered by Jaime.
Spartan says, "I was correct!" in a tone of complete wonder and amazement, hahaha.
13:24 Amazing catch by Spartan! Props to him!
12:28 yes my guy! 50 points for Spartan! 🎉💪🏼😎
EDIT: 13:34 -25 points deduction for Spartan, +25 for Pudgy! Dude what?! 🤣
The only one capable of defeating the master is the student.
Been loving the quick uploads guys ❤️I know y’all have a lot of stuff to do so this is amazing.
Spartan for the win!!!! Yall pretty much nailed the whole scenario.... most people suspect the Tyrells but I don't know of many who think of Littlefinger. Ten points to Baelish for offing Joffrey.
I don't think any TV ever has had more jaw dropping moments than GoT
They came to this show with such hope...
Smug Spartan is so cheeky. I will admit you did well this episode Spartan, but you did alright too Pudgey. Always enjoy the banter and laughs. ^^
41:23 Finally, you're saying Jeor's name right! 😊😁
And then you will something much different with another character Jaime interacts with in Episode 4. ;)
Cersei: "Avenge our son."
Spartan: "It's the first time she said 'our son'"
Pudgey: blank stare.
Cersei: "He was our son."
Pudgey: @_@ "SHE FINALLY SAID IT!"
Third time's the charm, I guess.
It’s almost like Egypt yes Spartan so true the construction has such Egyptian vibes speaking as one
shortest duel ever.well done dario!old tyvin sure has a knack for winning allies while his daughter is an expert at the opposite.makes you wonder where she got her temper from!!
Anything unexpected happens
Pudgey: "I knew it"
Sorry Spartan but as you completely discounted Ser Dontas you lose the right to have 100% as you were very wrong and right so it balances out xD
“Worse funeral EVAH”
“the horrible….thing is dead”
😂😂😂😂🔥
tortoise and the hare. pudgey as bulma in a bunny suit and spartan as roshi with a turtle shell on his back 🤔
Let’s gooo! Go Pudgey, hope bro can keep up. You guys should take some notes.
They do really good remembering names and past events especially that they dont take notes. They are the best reactors on RUclips.
Yes, the Night’s Watch elects the Lord Commander, who then serves in that position for life.
I don’t condone violence towards Women but Cersei was not a woman, she was a Devil…I LAUGHED when Jaime took her next to Joffrey’s dead body🤣🤣🤣
I say that was half and half. The necklace is a big part lol. (Hair net in the books)
You guys should go watch the wedding scene again now and watch everyone’s moves. It’s like a “who done it”
Man I can’t believe Spartan just went i reckon its the Tyrells, Ser Dontos, and Littlefinger.
Just like that.
GO Spartan!
Spartan is getting better at predicting things...
score is around: Spartan 3 Pudgey 58 :) lol
The chains that the catapults flung into Astapor were from the slaves she had already freed. She wanted the slaves in Astapor to see those and become inspired.
Ser is a title given to Knights. Cersei promised him knighthood if he lie that Tyrion bought the poison. Pod turned it down.
Dario Nahaaris Scene is so badass. It’s beautiful. 😅
Podrick is from the same family as ser Ilyn, but he is only a cousin not his son
The show-runners admit they fucked up filming the Jaime Cersei scene. Best to forget it, as in the books it never happens.
It's actually Jaime who is pulling away from Cersei and not wanting to be around her.
Podrick: "Ser Podrick Payne."
Pudgey: "Ser Ilyn Payne?"
Podrick is a distant cousin of Ilyn Payne.
Thank the gods for Bessie 😍
I watch you on TV but have to remember to come back here for comments and 👉👍
3/3. Spartan more like Smartan 👁️👄👁️
Big difference from the books is how good and nice they made Tyrion. He's not a nice guy in the books at all, not really.
Before watching: Still reeling over Pudgey clapping 👏🏾 over last episode!!🤣🤣🤣 Excited for this one…LEGGO!!
