She would never have toured China, Australia and done Las Vagas if she had been discovered earlier.
I think is because the internet was not around in that time so there really wasn't no exposure unless she knew somebody that knew somebody

I also get goosebumps listening to her and just watching her. She is beautiful on the inside as well as the outside and what a voice. I can't believe it's taken this long to be "discovered" but I guess that was her destiny. I am so happy for Susan

At the young age of 22, Susan had demonstrated her great talent in singing. She should have been discovered way back many many years ago! Unfortunately people seemed to care about a book's cover more than its content. It is such a pity a little bit late. I love her voice and wish her every success in the future.

There are no accidents. It wasn't her time yet to become famous. She would have missed that time with her mother. They wouldn't have been as close. It's a gift to be able to take care of a sick parent. I wish I could have been there for my parents when they were dying. I'll always regret that. That's something you can't get back. Her mother may have had to go to a nursing home if it wasn't for Susan. Or perhaps been mistreated. God knew what He was doing.
Wise words! I believe one day all families are going to meet in heaven and there will not be regrets anymore.

+Val Williams yeah, you'd think she would have moved to London or maybe even New York to try to make it on the theater scene. Not so easy for someone with Asperger's, though, especially if it's undiagnosed.
One of my favourite songs in the world, and this is the all time best version. Others rush this song, have no true emotion attached and give a lack lustre performance. Can't believe Susan was in a social club singing this whilst 'big stars' were butchering it in the west end and broadway; even those in the pop world were too. Susan has by far the most authentic and spiritual connection to this song, and she moves me. If Susan sang this today with the confidence she has gained over the years, it would give me goosebumps I know it. Sarah Brightman did sing it beautifully, but it's Susan hands down for me ❤️

Susan was beautiful in 1984, and to me she's still beautiful now. So glad that she kept going to Karioke Clubs to sing and also practiced singing at home before the mirror all these years. Those things, added to her God-given talent & the few singing lessons she had briefly have been used by the Lord to make her the BGT Tour Finalist that she has just concluded at Bournemouth on Sunday, July 5th, 2009. No one noticed her back then because they never had a worldwide THE VOICE or BGT ( or internet/ RUclips which can --in 3 minutes or less--make you a worldwide singing sensation. There are lots of singers today with great talent singing in small local clubs, retirement homes, churches, etc who will someday become superstars when their Big Break ( AGT, BGT etc) transforms them.
This early 80s Clip showcases her amazing voice and I'm certain she continued to sing in small venues into the 90s and early 2000s until her appearance on BGT.

Susan has/had a very nice voice. In taking care of her mom, she chose the better course. Too many kids abandon them or warehouse them. She had a nice look about her. NIce job, Susan.
