Lovely. I came across this post after having watched the Sinead O´Connor version of this which is also truly beautiful. Mel C allways stood out a mile as having the nicest, most unique and identifiable voice in the Spice Girls and she´s done a wonderful job with this, especially doing it live with Mr. Lloyd Webber on the ivories!
Damn, I just noticed that's Andrew Lloyd Webber on the freakin piano! I feel like a fool for not noticing before, but just how amazing is that!? Two of our greatest talents on stage, live, at once, performing one of the most powerful songs ever written... without digital enhancement. :) Love it!
I almost hate to say it, but this may be the best rendition of this song ever. Apologies to Yvonne. Not sure anyone can ever rival her performance, but this is remarkable.
When I first seen Spice Girls singing with Elton John it seemed like Mel B and Mel C were the only ones who could actually sing. Mel C sang with Bryan Adams and she has a good voice. I am not saying others can't sing individually but it is just I haven't heard them individually
Interpreted by her, this song has a vibrancy to it that it didn't have in the 1973 movie. That girl who played Mary in the movie sang the song as if she had been on weed.
This is a fun song if you sing it with the genders reversed, lmao. It made my mother so uncomfortable when I sung it like that, hahahahaha. Like this part is just funny with the gender swapped: "She's a girl. She's just a girl And I've had so many girls before In very many ways She's just one more" 🤣
I didn't know she could sing like this. Fantastic performance.
Be sure to check out her performance in the theatrical version. She is amazing.

This song touches me! I was so in love with the girl who sang it at my school! Still am!
Awesome and certainly the best singer from the Spice !!!! Agree with the make up comment on stage as well.
Damn, she totally owned this song. Did not see that coming. Seen many do this song quite well, but not like this. Great work
I totally agree with you 5*
IKR! I legit love Mel c so much
Gorgeous girl with an amazing voice
Wow. Amazing voice
.... she is the best of the best .... and so beautiful .... she must be an angel from Heaven .... ❤❤
This is one of those songs that makes me sad and at the same time makes me happy,... Time flies.
I know exactly what you mean!
Shes got a very good voice and hypnotic eyes...😊
Great performance! Nice dress too! Bravo 👏
Stunning voice and rather easy on the 👀 eyes as well. ❤😂
My God the King at the piano and the magic singer...Masterpiece!

I would say Agnetha Fältskog's version from 1972 is the best of all, and vocally in a different league to this.
The version where she wipes off makeup at the end and takes off jacket to show white dress is really moving too
Tak jak agnetha faltskog ok
Andrew Lloyd Weber as the pianist? No pressure there!!
Yes, Mr. Genius.
Not to mention this song is brutal.
This is the best I’ve seen it done honestly
Guess Andrew saw something in the Spice girl Mel C to cast her in the UK arena tour of Jesus Christ Superstar.
I was blown away Mr Weber was on piano. What an honor.

Guess we now know who actually drove the Spice Girl vocal bus - WOW
💝🥰🥰
i am not a fan of the spice girls. But damn Mel C can sing like an angel. Apparently Andrew Lloyd Weber agrees.
love you see to my girlfrend now

Yvonne Eilman...funny yet disagree. Mel does it better of course
Lol I’ve heard so many versions of this song an I agree most of the others are harmonically painful
I want some lass to sing this ln my funeral
Hire her now!
maria melanie b geril
fight maria i do will fight now
marry me xx
omg.. Webber on the piano ffs????!!!
That's a lot of mic mechanics
SUPER
Not as good as Helen Reddy, but pretty good.
Cool. Tim Rice on piano.
Лучше слушать как вилкой по стеклу водят, чем её "пение".
