    I said freeze plug for a few items that were not freeze plugs but in actuality oil & coolant plugs. Was super tired and other to add the edits to the video.

    Nice! Awesome to see you get your stuff back. And I thought I had quite the buffet on the workbench… you put mine to shame

    Pretty sweet setup! Mine is currently having the head built, (keeping bottom end stock). Looks like a solid set up! Can’t wait to see what it makes power wise.

    Eagle one ETCHING wheel cleaner works great for cast aluminum parts. You can also scrub it with steel wool while using that cleaner and that works well too. I used it on my oil pan and stock intake manifold.

    I need to get my head done from a good shop. With a decent turn around. Who would you suggest?

    Such a investment and no dry sump! Fkn fingers crossed! Plus oil squirters are great for cooling, not really lubrication! Odd choices on this build!

    Also glad you didn't do another MR2. I'd rather see you do something like a Honda or American muscle car.👍👍👍🤪

    Will you use the oem recommended oil or will you change the weight?

    Hell ya...can't wait to see er up and running again...with this set up...been watching you since the beginning ...and what a ways she's came. I definitely do not blame you for removing material...I wouldn't either...unless it's absolutely necessary...doing the same to my 2jz aswell rt now...(minus all the perrty internals) but all oem gaskets.
    I have a question about the fluidampner...I bought one and it is pretty damn tight...did you have any tight fitment issues with yours or ?..didn't want to force it on...but wanted to get an opinion.. love the content Ryan..can't wait for more 🤙

    I bored my block to 86.5 but didn’t have a torque plate would I still be okay?

    • @TunerFaction
      @TunerFaction 2 года назад +2

      When your block was bored, I'm assuming it was honed following the bore? If so, was a torque plate used during the hone? If there was no torque plate used in either of these processes, I would recommend buying a dial bore gauge and measuring how out of round your bores are. NOTE! Make sure that if you do that, you bolt the cylinder head onto the block and torque it to spec, if you just measure the bores without the cylinder head on your block your numbers will be all over the place! Hope this helps!

      @@TunerFaction it was done locally at a machine shop they’ve done jz’s before but I never took in consideration using a took plate I’ve just recently found out but I’ll ask them next time I go there since I’m getting the head worked on there but just for added security i did billet mains for my block too but it was a process to get all the parts

    • @TunerFaction
      @TunerFaction 2 года назад +1

      @@itsreallytheo gotcha! Well maybe to ease your worries a little, some people swear by torque plates and others have never used them and their engines are totally fine. I think it's good practice to use one, but it is by no means gonna ruin your engine! If you have the chance, I would take some measurements of the bores if you have the chance, and if not, just ask the machine shop some of your questions!
