One overdrive circuit, right up 'til the present time has been the most discussed, the most looked for after, and the most legendary. It's enormous, it's costly, and it has absolutely earned its place at the table. Wampler has carefully and dependably replicated that supernatural tone in all its grandness in an incredibly little bundle, and his name is Tumnus.
Tumnus is a flexible expansion to any setup, any style. Stack it with another pedal to help push or shape the aggregate sum of addition, utilization it as a stand alone overdrive, or utilize it as a dirty boost to push the front end of your amp over the edge. It's also not true bypass. Rather, unwavering to the first, this pedal contains a buffered bypass tone fabulous in its own privilege.
Simplicity in the controls as well: The Tumnus' streamlined 3 control controls (Volume, Gain, and Tone) permit you to rapidly dial in your tones regardless of what the gig calls for.
Now you can have the tone. Now you can have history. Now you can have it all without having to take out a loan.

I would personally like to thank myself for owning one of these.
Me 2
I got mine thank you very much, I got mine.
😂😂😂congrats
Here ya go ..... 🍪
Welcome to the club.
My favorite pedal
Best "klone" on the market, with the smallest footprint, and at a reasonable price. Simply a must have. It will add life to any rig. I'll never look back. Thanks Brian!! You really are a dirt circuit monster!!
I really love gear companies with presidents that play (and sometimes play well). There is a much better connection to what we as players want and need without sacrificing quality.
I see videos of Brian Wampler demoing his pedals, Paul Reed Smith going through his pickup configurations, and in the same vein, Randell Smith (Mesa/Boogie) turning dials while John Petrucci plays through his amps fills me with a deep respect for these companies. It is an absolute fact that a Wampler pedal is in my future.
It's cool that Brian sacrificed his rock-star career and licks so we could have real analog pedals which cost less than an organ transplant.
Mike Fuller (Fulltone) is another great example. Homeboy KNOWS he can tear it up and has proven as much in a lot of gear demo videos.
it’s great to see a CEO demo his own products. you are very grounded and humble, bryan! i own one tumnus and it’s a great od and boost pedal!
After years of having the Soulfood on my pedalboard (and never really liking it with gain past 10 o clock), I treated myself to an upgrade and got the Tumnus 2 days ago. I've had to stop playing to give my hands a break. Absolutely love it. just sounds great in every setting and also send my RAT into another stratosphere. Thanks 👍
Love my C.S. Lewis pedal.....
The Tumnus is amazing on Rhodes electric piano - perfectly responsive for crystal-clear dynamic edge-of-breakup plus detailed resonant thick-A-F actual-break-up - you absolutely nailed it - the search is over - thanks Brian
That's probably the best sounding pedal I have ever heard absolutely perfect. 🎸🤘
Just ordered mine. Can't wait to get it! Thank you sir for the awesome pedal and great demo!
I love the tone of the tumnus with the gain dimed on it. Absolutely sweet sounding overdrive. Nailed it.
Once again, you've hit the target with this amazing pedal, so Tumnus will be for sure my 8th or 9th's Wampler pedal on my board, i've stopped counting your wonderful contribution to my incredible tones, thank you Brian and everyone at Wampler, greetings from Belgium ;-)
Olivier Troupin hahaha calling your own tones incredible.... pumping your own tires up.
@@dbo4506 I think he was complementing the pedals
Just ordered it! Very excited to try it as my first stage drive, thanks guys!
Bought mine from Sweetwater. It is on it's way, an hour away, in transit. Should be here shortly. The engineer suggested this as a perfect addition to the sound I'm going for.
Excited to try this one out!!!
Got the Tumnus Wednesday Immediately starting using it on gigs. Mostly as a semi clean boost. Simply gorgeous!Thank you Brian
Btw, I use it in front of the Kemper
God...damn...that sounds amazing. Great demo. Really went through all the tonal possibilities and I am massively impressed with how closely it resembles... well you know, that other scarce and sought after pedal. Brian, you nailed it this time.
Love my Tumnus. Great clean boost, great transparent drive and love how it drives other gain pedals after it in a small footprint to boot with a fair price. Thanks Brian - a genius design!
Just got my Tumnus today. So good. So so so good. So so so so so soooo good!!! It sounds incredible in front of a clean amp and even more incredible in front of an amp just breaking up. I've got a two channel Egnater combo and the tones I'm getting are fan-freakin-tastamazing!
I have loads of OD and Distortion Pedals..but the Tumnus is the one I use the most on my Pedalboard..such a great little stompbox...thx Brian
I love the tone of this pedal, sir! I will be getting myself one soon, thank you!
Bergs didn't sell me on this pedal... but Brian did. Excellent explanation and tonal video. Lots of variety using "normal" equipment that many of us have. Well done Wampler!
just purchased. ive never been more excited for a pedal to ship.
I just purchased the wampler belle and the plexi mini and I couldn’t be more happy with a pedal at that price. Thanks for the awesome tones. These pedals are great boost for your high gain channel because I use either one instead of the tube screamer.
Another marvelous pedal, guys! Anxious to try it!
Love the Port City Amps Tee being displayed here! Awesome tones!!!
I got this a few months back and it stacks well with heavy gain pedals! Awesome pedal!
Love the video Brian, and I love how compact it is. Like TC mini style. If I were to ever pick up a Klon type pedal, I think I would grab this over the Archer.
Just bought one finally! Absolutely loving it! I use my Belle and light od then the Tumnus as med od and solo boost. I now own a plethora of Wampler pedals and love them all!
Ditto! Just got a Tumnus and it's incredible. I run the Tumnus into either a Euphoria or Pantheon. It's beautiful....
Just bought this its awesome, and i love how small it is! Perfect
Excellent playing and production Brian!
PLEASE GIVE US A DOUBLE TUMNUS! No silly extras, just 2 of these on seperate circuits so we can stack'em of play then singularly.
Much love x
paulnew86 that would be so awesome!
These are mini pedals. You can stick 4 of these on your board, and it still takes up less room than the original pedal... and still cost way less.
Very nice tone, feel and phrasing. I bought it and now I can't imagine not having it. Wow, that LP was really talking..
Brian - I bought your Tumnus pedal based on a ton of great reviews, plus these (and many other) vids. I have to say, It's my favorite pedal on my board. All the "stuff" I like in guitar tones this thing just enhances. Yes "girth" is the right word! :-)
Thanks, Brian, The Tumnus Mini has made my Keeper list.
Well, my Tumnus is ordered hope it will arrived soon, can't wait to try it on stage...
One of my all time favorite pedals. You can have the knobs anywhere and it sounds good!
i own it. Thanks for the comprehensive demo on the varied usages! The how's and why's really help the clueless! Nice!
Sounds great Brian! Great playing too!!!
What we needed, thanks guys!
Great video demo Brian... it made my mind up to go for the Tumnus over the Archer. I've not regretted it!
Just picked up the mini Tumnus....killer.
Thank you!
Great Demo of a pedal that sounds wonderful.
Great playing Mr. Wampler! Cheers
Superb video, even better pedal! I love my Tumnus!
Finally acquired one! Love it!!
Been using it for a few years now as my base slight overdriven sound. Had the tube screamer before it to add gain for solos but it finally died. Picked up the nobels mini. What a different pedal! working it before the tumnus. Will see how it goes. The tumnus is just so good!!
Great review of a great product! it's on top of my (small) wishlist, and will be my first Whampler pedal ;-)
WHEN IS YOUR SMOOTH JAZZ ALBUM COMING OUT
+Texas Blues Alley I'd buy it. :)
+Texas Blues Alley I'll call it "Smooth Jazz, in the style of Stevie's snacks" heheheh
Brian this is a serious pedal ! Congrats!
On end jam,sweet playing Brian!!!!
just got one. pretty good job. Thanks for the contribution to the guitar world.
I love the reference to "the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe". Maybe put an Asland boost next to it...?
I recently bought this pedal. I just love it. For low/mid gain stuff it can't be beat. I run mostly a Schecter USA custom shop PT through a Wampler Mini Ego compressor into the Tumnus, into a Strymon Riverside (for the heavier stuff), into an Xotic RC booster, into a Mesa California tweed amp with just a bit of break up dialed in. A Strymon Brigadier delay is in the effects loop. The Tumnus at around 11:00 o'clock on the gain, 9:00oclock on volume, treble at 1:00pm and you will have a GOLDEN tone! Crank the gain on the Tumnus and you will have Pete Townshend WHO power-chord rip all day long!
Wow, Mr Wampler! Thank you for the best pedal I've purchased in a very long time! Awesome!
4:02! Beautiful! That's pretty close to the tone in my head. :-)
I've known for a while now that I wanted to get some Wampler pedals for my rig, but I wasn't sure where to start. This seems like a must have pedal
Andertons Music Co just did a blindfolded Klon vs clones (I prefer "emulators") review. Tumnus came out on top over the Klon which was in 2nd place the other day. Just went and purchased my own Tumnus locally. Love it. Gives my tone some cojones.
me too , after watching theme just bought mine .
Sounds really nice! Great playing too :D
The versatility of this pedal is astounding. The fact that it's so small just makes it science fiction.
Sounds killer! Great job! :)
Sounds great, I will definitely order one!
Exactly what I've been looking for! Sold!
Can't wait to get one of these! Sounds and looks fucking epic!! Fine job, Brian 👍
I got the Tumnus always on!!! never turnit off back... since I bought it!!! Congrats from Argentina!!! I also combine Dracarys and Tumnus... not very conventional with a strat but... it works great for me!!! Finaly I bought thnaks to youe emailing answers which guide me to choose since hear in my country Wampler pedals are difficult to find!!!
Que haces viejo, te hago una consulta. Lo has probado al Tumnus en alta ganancia?
Wonderful, loved it!
Lovely pedal I bought it and it really is awesome 👏👏👏👏
Nice playing B..!
Right now my always on drive is a Klon clone a friend built me. Sounds amazing, especially low gain, higher volume to hit my preamp tubes harder. Sounds heavenly with my modded Harmony H303A (more of a champ now w/ a tone).
great video and I need one of these....
Absolutely gorgeous tone, Brian! The best. 💙💚💜
Sounds awesome. But you've already heard that a few times by now. How huge this sounds in comparison to the footprint is hilarious (not to mention how ridiculously huge the horsey man pedal looks next to this). Very few clones of Mr. F's legendary pedal seem to make many improvements other than price point. You seem to have cracked that nut. ( #betterordifferent ) Dig the Narnia reference. Looking forward to Professional Music Center (Clive, IA - the place around here that carries your stuff) to have one in stock. Way to go!
Nice playing!!
My favourite pedal on my board, always on along with the ego compressor!
Just ordered mine!
I ordered my on Saturday I got it on Tuesday and it on my board that night. I replaced my ts-mini. It’s a totally different tone. I like it. I’m so use to the ts tone that I need to get used to the tone it’s giving me now. I like what I’m hearing but sometimes what I hear on video and what I hear in real life sometimes are different. Not that’s is bad but different.
I have the Euphoria. Absolutely love it. Great pedal. Cheers
I use a ts and the tumnus on my board together. Best of both worlds or can combine them to get a real nice Overdrive
Hey Brian, I'm definitely getting a tumnus. One question though, in the video you turned your hot rod deluxe to 6 to get some overdrive. Can you still have your hot rod at about 2-3 and use a pedal instead to get some OD and then ad the tumnus for the godly tone? In that case what would you recommend ? Cheers mate
Brian - do you recommend the Tumnus into the original Plexi Drive for boost? I just got a PD that I'm in love with but my typical boosts aren't working in front of it (Xotic EP and TS-style). I'm getting too much fizz and low-cut when I use a TS-style and too much compression in the case of the EP. I was planning on getting a Tumnus anyway, but if the Tumnus>Plexi Drive combo works, even better.
Much better than a tube screamer!
Love this pedal. Sounds great in my American original 60’s Strat. What pickups are in the demo guitar?
Sounds great!
would love to see an updated version of this with a soft click switch that also has momentary function (like the mini Spark).
Another sick pedal ! Amazing ! Its any way to cut a little of the bottom end ?
This is the sound I was looking for when i came to a distortion or to overdrive my tone a bit more. All though I do need a noise gate is pedal is going to be on my list as well as the Clarksdale. I've also been looking at the Paisley Drive pedal as well. Can't have enough distortion pedals for different color.
The Paisley sounds best with a Tele. Euphoria best with a Strat. All Samples pedals are great with the 57 Tweed a favourite.
Great sounding pedal. Got the mids correct, whereas others didn't. Bye the way, what kind of pick are you using in this demo?
That strat is lookin' really nice......
Brian - you rock 👍
This would fit good on the board. I have been kicking on buying the Archer. I wonder if this plays well with a compressor? I use an Ego, always on. Great sound!
DAMN YOU BOUTIQUE PEDAL BUILDERS!!!! I CAN'T SAVE MONEY LIKE THIS, STOP THIS TORTURE!
I own this pedal and I love it
This pedal is amazing. I stack mine with an Xotic ep booster and an Ibanez mini tubescreamer, killer range of tones.
Sly Vegas I use this exact same set up...seriously killer pedal combo
@@ghunterjackson77 I've also put an xotic sl drive and stack them all. Sounds incredible.
Brian, So far I have the mini Tumnus- does it have a wah modulation to it? If it does -does the larger Tumnus Deluxe pedal have it also?
Brian, you are laying it down, Bro....
Is it possible that this pedal targets more single coil tones? I am hearing the Les Paul sounds a little woofy...
I'm wondering what this pedal would do for a really overdriven amp. I play hard rock; approaching metal through a 6505+ and I can't help but wonder if I kept the gain lower than I might normally on the amp, if the Tumnus would push it in a really cool way.
I have the Ego Compressor and The Belle on my board. Going to get one of these, should iI put it before or after the Belle?
My Pinnacle Dlx is already the perfect pedal for my one channel Blackheart. Do I really, REALLY need another? Will it save space on my two-pedal mousepad/effects board?
Great pedal got one today
Would this have too much low end for the already bassy Fender 68 Custom Princeton Reverb?
Just placed my own order!
Great pedal.
i just got one. it is incredible. couldn't justify the real estate for the tumnus deluxe.
