    I wish I could get this in a .20 calibre , I have an old theoben Mfr with an after market.20 barrel and 2 custom made r.a.w 17 shot magazines , might not have any gauges or quick fill but I can keep up with all the.177 £2500 super rifles , I take it hft shooting once a month and I've never shit lower than a 50 with it , I love the agricultural solid workhorse feel the rifle has , the only thing I changed apart from the calibre was I put a hugget shroud and silencer on it , still one of the best rifles I've ever owned, never get rid of that one .

    It's just a HW block inside of BSA stock and the bottle shot count is dreadful I've got a JB R10 MK 1 in SUB 12 177 and I get 220 shots out of a 200cc tank BSA regs are poop. And they're all owned by the same master company shouldn't have to spend £1,200 on a gun and then go to fit a huma regulator just to get a decent shotcount and consistency out of it

      Owned by gammo , built in Britain using 80% manufactured in Britain parts to build the rifle , and built by British men in Birmingham ,the parts of the rifle not made in the UK will be the stock and possibly the o rings , for them to legally use the built in Great Britain moniker you legally have to prove a minimum of parts used are made and sourced in Great Britain , so yeah BSA are owned by gammo but everything they make as far as PCP rifles go are made in England ( I think the springers are now being built in Birmingham again ,they were getting made in Spain around a decade ago ) .

    When I think about how long the hw100 has been around and how it's always had the anti double load feature ,well it makes me wonder why it's taken around 20 years for other PCP rifle manufacturers to start to do that with their rifles ? .

    I'm pretty torn between going for 1 of these in the "super" carbine walnut, a Daystate Huntsman Revere in left handed walnut,a Brocock Sahara XR, or as a curve ball a HW110KT to go along with my 100KS, I do already own a Ratworks tuned R10 so the daystate and Brocock are most appealing, any advice?

    • @aboutthemetal8783
      @aboutthemetal8783 Год назад +4

      Ive got a revere and I get 120 shots in .177 , so if that's enough shots for you ,you can't go wrong , gorgeous handling rifle , having said that I now own a ultra carbine r12 in walnut ,along with a custom built hw100 buddy bottle rifle , Ive only used the r12 5 times but so far so good , as Neil said make sure you push your pellets in far enough that the o ring holds them in place or you can get a jam if you are using a longer skirted pellets , I've put a 300 cc carbon bottle on the r12 but that's the only change , all good so far ,
      But there's a lot to be said for buying a good second hand rifle ( from a reputable shop who service the used rifles before selling them and they give a six month warranty ) if you can find shops like that , look at what second hand stuff they sell ( livens have some good stuff , and staffs custom rifles in audley sell used stuff and it's always as good or better than new from them )

    • @Zillawill
      @Zillawill Год назад +1

      @@aboutthemetal8783 yeah 120 isn't too bad for how light rifle is, obviously more shots the better cause saves me lugging round the bottle but it's not a deciding factor

      @@Zillawill
      If you really want the r12 id recommend buying the 300 cc carbon bottle from best fittings , Ive done a full shot count test , on my .177 I got 260 shots , it still could of done more but I didn't want to shoot the rifle to the point where it dropped of the reg , but so far I'm very pleased with the r 12 , if you get the revere I'd consider the safari version the stock is much better as far as feel and design , it's got a slight schnable fore grip and the under side of the stock is thick so it safe and easier to put a sling stud on the front underside ( for a bi pod and or sling ) I think daystate will be upgrading the walnut stock to that shape at some point so I'd wait a few months ,hope that's of help to you .

      @@aboutthemetal8783 deffo been of help to me mate, I do love look of safari stock and it's a safer choice for selling on due to being ambi, can I ask did you have to mod the stock to fit 300 carbon bottle? It was something I thought about doing myself in future
