    I have an R12 in 177 and clx in 22 I have not had any issues to date but since watching this one of my 177 mag is much tighter than the other. This has been so useful and thank you for the time to share this with us.....

    On my Ultra clx i used a dremmel to cut the O ring seat a tad deeper, i also didn’t tighten the spring quite so far, that mag is now perfect smooth as silk. Second replacement mag without the alterations is rough loading and feels terrible. Looks like the dremmel is coming out again.

    No problems with my R12 PRO in .177. Mags hold pellets firmly with no rattle when shaken hard. My R10SE in .177, again never had issues with gun or mags. Brilliant rifles in my opinion.

    one thing i noticed after you had loaded the mag, the first pellet you put in fell out but when the mag is full they wount fall out because the hole in the outer case does not line up with the inner hole that the pellet fits into , so i would move the inner wheel back a shade to line up with the outer hole, then try and see if they fall out, i done this with mine and all 12 fell out

    It could be that BSA's magazine supplier is using multiple sub-makers, or BSA, are using multiple suppliers. Maybe because of all the lingering supply problems caused by covid. And some are more accurately toleranced than others. I've had similar problems with sub-makers, and it would explain that some people and not others are having trouble.
    I was about to buy a 177 R10 - TH, but I'm now leaning more toward an AA 510 or Weihrauch HW100T.

    The mags are utter sh*t, saying that they dont make the mags is an opt out as they are supplying them as part of their product, they are the same in my ultra CLX and I thought about sticking them in the lathe and deepen the 'O' ring groove a little, but there isnt enough material on them. This will in theory be my second BSA, my first and my last.

  • @polydadmac
    @polydadmac Год назад +4

    I had exactly the same problem with accuracy . It’s because some of the mags don’t fully align the pellets properly when cocking and just slightly clips the pellet skirt , causing poor accuracy . On one of my mags , it was always the first shot that was a flyer .

    Have you measured the pellet hole ? It looks like a .22 mag with a deeper recess for a thicker section Oring to take up the difference between .22-.177. I have the original all metal/alloy mags and never had one pellet drop out in the 10/15 years of owning the ultra multi .22

  • @shaunjones6049
    @shaunjones6049 Год назад +1

    Seems like BSA just keeps turning out rifles with faults and are not interested in producing a product that can preform in the field. I’ve owned two BSA r10se rifles and both had issues with magazine poor groupings , Zero the rifle 👍, then for no apparent reason the groupings shift. Checked the MTC scope on my Hw 100 and no issues with the scope.
    Sadly both R10se rifles I owned were not fit for purpose.
    Hw or Air arms, or Daystate for me , basically anything that is reliable and consistent.

      Me too .. I had a refund what an absolute shame because the rifle actually is comfortable but what a bag of sh*te . I've a few rifles but this was a massive disappointment. Recently picked up a plinker for the garden hatsan flash as cheap as they come budget wise but pellet on pellet.
      I really hope the evolution of the r12 sorts this issue and I might return

    Everyone can make a magazine that doesn't require you to stay perfectly level at all times and holds pellets regardless how many is left...production and testing is obviously filled with people who never spent a day in the open plinking away... probaly some bloke who worries more about kissing a$$ then giving an honest opinion
