Great unbiased real world interview. I only wish that the Evolve 30M had the same Ethernet connectivity as the Evolve 50M in order to allow 2 systems to behave as 1 larger system with double the inputs.
If I am understanding your question correctly, these are not smart stereo so they would act as one speaker, because it's a "mix"out." The best way to use two, is with a mixer going out left and right, then use a stereo input in your mixer. I hope this helps and answered your question.

Hi KW, this is the first time i have subscribed to anything like this. My name is Vicky from the UK. i shall try to keep this brief as i might stand a good chance of becoming very boring. i run two music events every weekend in the UK for senior citizens. i have a new Evolve 30M sound system. i didn't realise that this system has a built in Mixer (i have been using a separate mixer) if i tell you what i use, then maybe you can point me in the right direction as to what channel i should be using for each item. Two cordless mics, one plug in mic plus i have a tablet, where i have backing tracks and background music on. I flip from cordless mics for various things like moving around/running a raffle, a game etc and handing a mic to others so that they can join in with me. I am a MC/singer. I like the way you explain things, but if there is a way that we could communicate, videos/emails so that the whole world does not see how ignorant i might be. I guess i am looking for a sound system person online, can you help? thank you
Got my 50M coming Sunday 12-5. Got it from AMS. Ordered Sat and now it will be here next day. Free shipping. I run backing tracks and run my guitar and my vocal. Figured the 50M would be the best way for me.
If you connect two 30M to sound stereo, can the inputs of the 2 units be used? Or can only the inputs of one unit be used, since the other unit will only be a receiver?
On the EV30M, I understand that the "intended" use of 5/6 is a left/right signal from a "line level" device such as a keyboard or maybe another mixer (?). Does this mean that the 5/6 channels don't have separate gain stages like 1-4 do or something else? Can I run a single source (like an acoustic guitar into a Behringer ADI21 preamp) into Ch 5 and have that come out of the EV30M as a mono signal (no different than Ch 1) or will it only come out of "right"? Can I run a second single source (like another acoustic guitar into a preamp) into Ch 6 at the same time and also have that come out of the EV30M as a mono signal in ADDITION to the other guitar in Ch 5?
I will do my first gig with the 30M next weekend with backing tracks, guitar and singing. I hope it is better than the LD Maui 28G2 I had before - it should be as it is way more expensive!
@@Kaledrums gig done, that little PA had to work hard as the room was pretty big. It sounded fine though and everything worked as planned. At 2 am in the morning you really appreciate the low weight of that sub!
@@EnmandsBand1 in the future I would recommend getting a second one should you play larger venues. This will help with coverage etc. Im glad it worked well for ya, and the light weight is really ideal.
Is there a seperate Gain for each channel ??...i underground obviously there is a Master volume, and separate Volumes (Or Levels) as EV call em for each channel, but where are the seperate individual Gain pre amp levels to prevent distortion from Voice, instruments, synt/drums etc when they go in to the Red .....???????
Great review thank you, is there a foot switch control for the FX to mute the reverb and delay while talking between songs ? Can only one effect be applied to each channel at a time, or. Reverb and Delay on the main vox? Thank you 👍🏻
It seems any single foot switch will turn these effects on off. as needed. You can assign two effects say reverb and chorus, but you can not turn these on and off independently from one other like having separate effects pedals. As far as separate channels, sadly no, whatever you choose for effects runs on every channel.
@@Kaledrums thanks for confirming, a global on/off FX by footswitch is perfect, sounds better when speaking between songs. Thanks again for the review.
Both Evolve 30M and L1 Pro 8 sound great in their own ways. I opted for a pair of Evolve 30Ms because IMHO they offer more bang for their buck with double the inputs, better build quality and they just look better, especially in white.
@@madness8556 hi I'm wondering what you use your 30ms for - dj or live sound? Solo, duo acoustic or small band. Also wondering outside or inside and what you're thoughts are. Thx!
Do u think one will be just enough, just because of the stereo sound, I'm a dj myself and I only want this for my room, but I just wanted something louder than my KRK'S monitor speakers, something that could give me a much closer sound to a maybe a like a small bar o a club, again I'm only asking this cause a dj u need the left and right sound cause of the effects and stuff like that... so I would really like to hear ur POV before buying one of this for myself..
One is fine. However, if you're thinking about using it for mixing, I would suggest using your KRK than doing a B test on your JBL. I haven't had any issues with stereo tracks with just one unit.
@@emmanuelra10 in the true sense no. However, when listening to tracks like Bohemian Rhapsody especially in the call and answer of the fugue section you do get the separation, but it does not sound left and right like you would get from two speakers or your typical house stereo. Hope that helps.
