I tested the 30M and 50 in a store today. I was very pleasantly surprised at how full it sounded for its size! Of course, the 50 was louder and fuller sounding with better high end, but it didn't sound a huge amount better than the 30M IMHO. If you are doing larger crowds above 200 people, the higher SPL, bigger sounding 50 is the way to go. For smaller gigs under 200 people, the 30M is plenty. The size and weight of the 30M is fantastic considering the amount of great sound it puts out and having that great mixer built in negates the need to bring an external mixer.
I've recently purchased a white Evolve 30M and it's so awesome that I ordered a second one today to run them as a stereo pair. The app is fabulous and the sound of the speaker is even better! I've also ordered a second Maui 5 GO for smaller situations and when battery power is required. I may even use them as side fill stage monitors if the need arises whilst using the Evolve 30Ms for front of house. I sold all my ageing (and very heavy!!!!) DB Technologies Opera 405, Opera 210, Basic 400, Sub 15, Mackie SRM350V2 and HK Audio Lucas Impact speakers. They all sounded great and I could easily scale my system up or down depending on the size of the event. Those days are now over and I'm now too old to lug heavy gear.... So 2 x Evolve 30M and 2 x Maui 5 GO is now the best way for me with the option of adding a compact sub or two for larger events.
Seems like an ideal setting for me, I'm a one man band who plays mostly tropical music (Merengue, Salsa, some Rock, ballads & boleros) in Puerto Rico. I use a Yamaha keyboard, a Boss Drum Machine and a couple of microphones for me and anyone else who wants to sing. But these PAs are almost always constructed with a guitar playing musician in mind, not a keyboardist like me, so it worries me if I'm going to get that punch I need for the bass of my keyboard. Based on your demonstration I think the 30M would be powerful enough for what I need. Thank You, Blessings from San Juan 🇵🇷 !!!.
i play in a hard rock band. I was wondering if this system would be good for us? Specifically in volume over live acoustic drums. I was wanting to mic the kick drum and snare, mic my guitar amp line out the bass player and keyboard with two vocalist. We usually play outside for about 100 people. Would this system be enough or would i need something bigger like the 50m or is even that too small?

I saw somewhere that you can pair up to 6 or 8 Evolve 30m together via bluetooth. Is that how you paired the 2 in the video? I wonder what safe distance they can be apart. Great video.
On the EV30M, I understand that the "intended" use of 5/6 is a left/right signal from a "line level" device such as a keyboard or maybe another mixer (?). Does this mean that the 5/6 channels don't have separate gain stages like 1-4 do or something else? Can I run a single source (like an acoustic guitar into a Behringer ADI21 preamp) into Ch 5 and have that come out of the EV30M as a mono signal (no different than Ch 1) or will it only come out of "right"? Can I run a second single source (like another acoustic guitar into a preamp) into Ch 6 at the same time and also have that come out of the EV30M as a mono signal in ADDITION to the other guitar in Ch 5?
On channels 5/6, the gain is summed. So all channel controls are combined. I use channel 5/6 for my keyboard and drum machine. I control the balance from the keyboard and/or drum machine. This frees up the other channels for other uses. My vocal mic is plugged into one of the other 4 channels.
Robin Sigler yes for sure. Run into your mixer and then use the output to input into one of the line level inputs on the 30m. If you need a great deal let us know!

how to connect 2 together?...and with 2 units, that would mean double the mixer....what about monitors, floor or ears...?...what connection would be used?
there's to ways to connect two units: first you can connect with the Ev app, by low fecuency bluetooth (LFB) and both units will be paired, or you can use an XLR cable using the mix out male XLR output in the first unit and connect it to any channel in the other unit setting it as line input, and finaly setting the both units as stereo L and stereo R. I preffer the second choice its more secure, but by the app you can pair up to 6 units. for monitors or ears you can use the AUX output, and with the app you can group different units an control different levels or mute individualy by group.

These little big stereo systems can NEVER replace a true analog heavy weight PA for an actual live band. Unless it's a dinner crowd gig where you are just background music. To make people dance, they need to feel it as well as hear it. When they make a 50lb rig sound as good as my 500lb rig, I'm in.

Can unit be set up less-tall with one less stacker tube? Back yard segment: need to show where PA was with respect to you. Remember, this review is about the PA, not you. Everybody (it seems) on RUclips, wants to be a TV star. I don't need to see 'you' talking. Thank you
Its a flawed product underpowered and rubbish and so is the 50 m - why the hell do you need to put two mixers into the dsp then have to link them to use one ha ha ha - we already have mixers its a system for girls or people who only do small bars. The effects on a dynacord mixer are great and the mixers are the bomb and the dynacord its a great mixer [ but buy a mixer ) dont have it built into a speaker dsp - stupid idea and this is a badly thought out product - they could have got this right but they messed up - its underpowered lacks mid range and if you buy two you have to run a lead from one to the other. I like EV and I like dynacord - have owned both poducts but I would not buy these systems - they have NOT EVOLVED ENOUGH IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION

Hello...When you say 100-150 people gig, I guess you mean for a KIT of ev30m (set of 2 EV30m OR 1 EV30m) ?
Yes sir :-)
@@TheDJsGuru I have 2 Mackie 450 + QSC K1000 sub. I was wondering if 2 EV 30m would replace my 2 Mackies OR should I buy 1 EV(30) for small events + and add my 2 mackies for larger events. What do you think ?

Do I need the pair or with just one could work just fine, I'm asking this cause u know how for mixing u have to have balanced sound, also for the effects for left and right? Ultimately what can of cables would I need to connect just one speaker to the controller mixer...
hello brother. Can you please tell me your opinion for electrovoice 30m? I want to buy two ev50's or two ev30m ? i am a wedding dj and i do outdoors weddings for about 250 people. But in the dancing stage there are not all the 250 people. It has about 50 people. what you would suggest? thank you.

Hi.. I'm from India and I am searching Home Music Performance System for about 200 people.. The system should mix and amplify the sound of vocals, Tabla, Harmonium, Synthesizer etc.. Please suggest me the suitable PA System including this.. Thanks
This would be absolutely perfect for your music.
Hey you used a pair or just 1?
He used a pair but he didn't show that clearly in the video.
5:43 tandem
Nice!!
Thanks for your comment!
Is the Evolve 50 better then the Evox 12?
No half the output!
And practically half the weight.
reggae track name ? :)
Old Town - Alex Karen - we use artlist.io/Justin-1110336 for our royalty free music. Got it there.
I bet your neighbors really love you testing out the sound system in your back yard!? LOL!, if I did that where I live the cops would be called within 5 minutes.
🤣
White is a little over. They should make different colours
We see things different on the white - what other colors would you suggest?
i just wondering how much cost it... could someone tell me thanks...
Is only one unit enough for a living room???
Yes :-) Need a deal? Let us know.
YES!
Buy a plastic tote box to put the pole bags in...
Ty for the feed back
These little big stereo systems can NEVER replace a true analog heavy weight PA for an actual live band. Unless it's a dinner crowd gig where you are just background music. To make people dance, they need to feel it as well as hear it. When they make a 50lb rig sound as good as my 500lb rig, I'm in.
Does a carpenter use the same saw for every cut?
Test it out with a mic .with reverb. No one on RUclips do this. Why is that
We think YOU should, why haven’t YOU ?!?! Why is that?!?!
Good review, but we want to see the speaker...not your mug!
Lol agreed
Should of made dark purple. Not snow white
Maybe!
All very interesting but way way too much talking
It’s the sound I’m interested in
The colour doesn’t matter (to me)
The name doesn’t matter ( to me)
If the mixer doesn’t have an effects send and return it’s of no use (to me)
thank you for your comment and for your opinion.
Looks like plenty of room for a drink on that thing.
Did you see the design of the sub? It actually has a design that basically makes it not flat at the top to avoid that exact problem.
@TheDJsGuru Yes! I was talking about around the edges. It looks like a good 3-4 inches or so,which most glasses would easily fit on.
I could be wrong, but it does look like it, though.
Great review nonetheless, thanks!
Not really hearing any bass.
It’s a 10” woofer so wasn’t overbearing but was snappy :-)
Mr buzz kill here chiming in. Hearing damage can occur after 2 hours at 80-85 dB. Hearing loss possible after 5 mins with 105 to 110 dB. Please turn down your music 😾.
What?!?!? Can’t hear you. 😂😂❤️❤️
The sound test no good my friend. U not test the main one .yes u guess it vocals. With reverb. Dont give up ya day time job
Too late my friend 🙃
With all respect, your review seems too off-the-cuff. You need a 'script'. Too redundant. Could have been done is 1/2 the time. Should have shown: Backpack loaded, not empty. Bluetooth connected to tablet, with app. QuickSmart feature needed a better image, and more complete demo. Can PA be set-up with a stage monitor? If so, please show it. Can unit be set up less-tall with one less stacker tube? Back yard segment: need to show where PA was with respect to you. Remember, this review is about the PA, not you. Everybody (it seems) on RUclips, wants to be a TV star. I don't need to see 'you' talking. Thank you
Ty for your feedback!
Shit man! this kid talks too much!! and too little info.
So you don’t like it then? 🤔
So you’re saying it’s not for you? 🤷♂️
Other than not having a non-mixer version available I would really say everything else you said is completely subjective by the way. Compared to what?!?!? Anyway, back to work.
It's a system for girls or those who do small bars.... FFS where does gender fit in? Sheeeesh!
Listened to these speakers in person and they are indeed awesome!
