Squirrel did you get for free
Doesn't this violate lottery laws? At least in Canada, you have to be a non profit organization to run these things.
@@TheOwenMajor Does anyone care haha?
Squirrel can you drive this train all the way from London to Brighton or they are just short segments?
Entered! Fingers crossed!! Would be a dream come true.
"The south of England, one of the most scenic areas of the country"
*Plays a scenario in foggy rain*
Usually they these reviewers do the run in the dark at night. This always amazes me.
U mean dorset, somerset, Devon?
I designed the suspension system for the 377. Amazing to see it in a simulator so many years later!
Inaccurate simulation, southern trains are never on time.
Lewes to Brighton is not that bad to be fair.
@A real bisexual petrol-head Chill...
Agreed souther n trains are NEVER on time.
@A real bisexual petrol-headyes i do know what signals are but they according to statistics i found account to only 27% of all delays on the
uk railway.
@A real bisexual petrol-head chill Chill CHill CHIll CHILl CHILL
30seconds early. Has no southern rail commuter ever witnessed 😂
Dean Kerwin meanwhile Amtrak is currently...... *21 hours late*
Surprisingly it has been on time once for me
NoobyGamez it’s been a few hours late every time I’ve taken long distance Amtrak, but I didn’t really mind, you’re usually not taking a long distance Amtrak train because it’s the fastest mode of transport, you’re taking it for the journey and the experience.
Planeboy 2520 I take a short distance journey every day on the south western railway (40 minutes journey for me)
Every week there is a delay and sometimes roughly 1 hr delay
But because of the derailment last week I couldn’t even get to my college so ended up taking coaches for the rest of the week
But I guess the derailment wasn’t their fault tho
Sorry my English is so crap rn, trying to type this whilst on train sim 2020
You can set the destination using the screen on the left, theres a clickable option on the bottom right which will give you a list of stations and you can choose using the options on the bottom of the screen. Also the route only goes as far as Eastbourne.
Just so you know the Class 66 is still very much used in the UK
still used on 6B13, 33, 47 & 55 to Robeston & both the scrap, pre rolled steel coils & tin plated steel coils to & from Trostre
Yea it really is
isnt the class 66 a american train
No
William Gillard was built in the US
As someone who used to commute to Brighton daily from Seaford, I can say this is very VERY well recreated! Consider me impressed!
Squirrel you can activate the AWS in the 377 using the buttons by the door at the top, (the button is called AWS isolation) in the other half of the cab. Also the screens on the right work i think if you press on the door.
The sounds are the thing that astounded me the most there
I Have to take these trains everyday, i don't need a simulation reminding me xD
Awesome vid either way!
It's so weird seeing this on here, I take this train on the daily!
Love the look of this DLC, will have to check out.
Hello world... It's too dark and raing today in Hastings ☹
sitting in brighton :D
Close by in Battle ;)
just got home and in hastings lol
Ecoops 123 lol
The AWS is on the far right hand side of the cab on a panel
It's a little surreal watching this! I used to commute on this line from Bexhill (which is towards Hastings), and the scenery is spot on. Falmer is the main stop for the University of Sussex and the Amex Football Stadium home to Brighton & Hove Albion, so it becomes VERY busy at times!
Edit: There's also a great pub right next to London Road Station!
Man that is a depressing workstation for the traindrivers having to look out of that tiny window
I find it quite cosy. It also reduces motion sickness or whatever
Don’t know why Hastings is mentioned when the route only goes to Eastbourne...
Ben Tyson I was thinking the same thing my local station is rye and I commute to ore 3 times a week I’m kinda sad really I would 100% buy it if it went all the way. Would be even better if it had the southern Diesel trains from Eastbourne to ashford
Well he also questions multiple times if a Mordern UK route is fitted with AWS, when the entire UK rail network is required to be fitted with it since the 90's ...
Because the train goes to Eastbourne and there is a branch just Dow from Eastbourne that goes to Hastings and ashford
@@robdezerbisbluearmy2999 Yeah, but the Game only takes you as far as Eastbourne
My local station is bexhill. I would love to see the extension to ore
Brilliant , a route to Eastbourne and Hastings on a train sim at last!
4:40 the AWS is isolated, control's are on the second-man's side of the cab
was hoping to see the Amex Stadium when you stopped at Falmer
Me to
Sad
:(
It’s literally there Wdym, yes you need to exit the cab view but you can see it
@@bentyson4322 i meant in the video! wanted to see how well it had been recreated i know where it is i worked there for 5 years haha
I make this commute from Polegate every day I work :) really nice to see this part of the country in a simulator
Paid competitions are illegal in many countries, including my country. I also think a paid competition is at best gambling. You're going a fine line here Squirrel. I wish you can think this over one more time. A lot of kids watching your videos.
Its a skill based game which doea not require a gaming licence
I live on this line at Hastings, I’m so glad this is a dlc
Very enjoyable ride. I remember taking one of those trains, from London, down to Woking, and back, when I performed in the UK, back in 2011. They're really making this sim look fantastic! Thanks for sharing.
As a comen commuter of this line (normally falmer and back) I have to say that the accuracy is extremely good
I used to live in Brighton but moved to France.
I loved watching this some much, brought back some many great memories from Uni.
Believe me "picturesque"is not on my mind right now lol
The Class 377’s brake are epic!
I take this journey on a regular basis. This sim is very accurate and has amazing detail.
Taking this trip in reverse on Saturday morning 👍👍
Future DLCs:
-workers/engineers who continously state that the tracks are dangerous, causing delays
-suicidal citizens who jump infront of trains, causing delays
-light weather; snow which covers the tracks, causing delays
-removing 3/4 of staff, causing delays
This is a Chanel used to watch 4 years ago!
I like the game but i dont have it
The Class 377 gives me a nostalgia hit. It was in Train Simulator 2013 which was my first Train Sim
Is it me or the matrix display at the front looks weird
They are weird. I am a local and they don't look like that.
First time try at the script to scroll so there maybe an update
This is awesome, like fully awesome, the sounds and even the scenery despite it chucking down with rain is incredible
This route from Lewes to Brighton is one of my favourites as it's a short one but it allows me to go through a process of shutting down the cab i was just in set the route, set the tail lights, isolate the AWS, DSD, DRA and Vigilance the to go and set up the other cab for the service
I lived in Brighton for 3 years and this is the train I travelled in the most. I live in France it's been 6 years now. But damn, I miss living over there.
Entered the competition already. Fingers crossed
Dylan it’s not a competition like that, it’s a skill based game. Extremely hard to win!
Wouldn't just stop using 66 is about 700 of them on UK railway they're still being used to this day I work for freightliner and most of our fleet is 66s
Happy New Years - you ok? Missed your videos lately.
It’s just grand, second most popular request on the DTG forums, after GWE (GWR) and put into action, great work
Out of Brighton, west takes you as far as Southampton Central with branches to Portsmouth, Bognor Regis, Littlehampton and at the Littlehampton junction it can take you up to London via Horsham, going straight will take you to Milton Keynes/London stations and going east will take you as far as Ashford international via Eastbourne with the branch to seaford
Yeah, it is nice but glad for the TS2020 with AP pack where the full Brighton Mainline is since forever, the first full route for Train Sim
No one
My dad at work: literally this video
I do this trip everyday😂
And now you can do that in a sim
should have come with the 313 since many of the trains are 313s
The DLC is great but never seems to be very erm..realistic
Add on ?
It also should have gone to Ore... but this is DTG
No worries it'll be a loco add on in a few month without a doubt.
Lmfao it’s raining when u arrive at Brighton just like it would be in real life going to the beach
You need to press the number 3 camera, not 2 when panning around.
Took me back to my polytechnic days at Brighton. Mostly at the Moulscoomb campus for computer sciences - if you looked east (left) off of the bridge, you'd see the side of the huge church in the middle of the Brighton valley.
They resignalled Lewes to Seaford recently so this DLC is already out of date.
Also a train will not get up to 55mph that quickly up Falmer bank.
It's a damn close simulation though
You can do the dot matrix display. It is the screen on the left and on of the buttons at the bottom.
Edit: By the way you missed the Amex Stadium at Falmer
Also you can set the destination, on the screen on the left showing the cars, click P.I.S and you can select the destination.
With Southern, Thameslink and Southeastern, it’s either delays, cancellations or line closures :)
Also just noticed that on the IDU (Intelligent Display Unit) it is showing a left hand door release (red squares in the coaches) with a right hand door release actually given.
Paul
If you go west from Brighton, you go to Southampton, then either Portsmouth or Weymouth. To get to Plymouth, you go Brighton, Salisbury, Westbury, Taunton, Exeter, and then Plymouth.
Portsmouth is in between Brighton and Southampton! Can you not read a simple map?
Also the screen on the left is clickable, the PIS button in bottom left hand corner. and that button controlls the destination board
wow the cockpit actually looks really cozy :p
Congratulations on 700K Squirrel, you absolutely deserve it, and your getting close to 1 million! Keep up the amazing work
Really accurate depiction there. Only inaccuracies I found were the platform at Moulsecoomb is too wide. The ramp is full width and the platform a lot narrower than that. Otherwise pretty accurate, especially the rain lol
I’ve been on that train...
... eventually.
It was over an hour late (as standard southern)
To operate the destination board you go on the screen it will show more show destination clear destination and is called PIS ( PASSENGER INFORMATION SYSTEM)
Make sure you don't gap going through the wash 🤣
I love following along your route on google earth, that's one hell of a bridge
When will they Southern suburban routes and more importantly London to Brighton, and Bedford to Brighton! They need to do the Class 700, Gatwick Express Class 387 and Southern Class 377/6 Class 377/7 and Class 455
Nice video. I went to uni in University of Sussex so travelled from Falmer to Brighton very frequently.
Haha when I was playing East coastway I unlocked a achievement for…
Driving a class 377 for 377 miles. Ps I love your videos
5:33 I'm offended, the class 377 is my favourite train in the entire world.
Would be really nice if they added the Class 313 here.
Pity they run this rout through to Hastings but forgot to lay the track beyond Eastbourne.Nice peripherals shame nothing works with TSW. They opted for the trains that have been converted to a Keyboard and mouse!!! I went to Inverness on a train pulled by Class 47's I had a look in the cab but they were the pre mod only had levers and pedals.
Currently doing a lewes to Brighton and back service and loving the new dlc and it's amazing
Class 66 were likely built in La Grange, IL. If not, some other area in North America. I'm curious if EMD is going to make a British version of their American Locomotive called the "F125 Spirit" as a competitor to the class 68 and replace their Class 67 & 66 locomotives.
I finally decided to give these train sims a try and I was pleasantly surprised. Much better than trucks sims
Don't be silly, both Sims are entirely different in their own right.
Driven all the way with red lights to the front tut tut lol, In the real thing if you hit the emergency stop button then the pick up shoes will raise and in order to get them back down you press what is shown as MCB close, again on the real thing the MCB close and MCB open buttons are actually 'shoes down' and 'shoes up'
Paul
Only on the 6 and 7 series. The shoes don't raise on the older units, which this is.
its great to see TSW back again
nice route too
I can’t wait until the 20th of august when the bakerloo line comes out on this game!
Amazing graphics. Makes train simulator look like a cartoon!
Yeah but train sim classic is good too
Been dying for a video on this game again
The bridge after london road station is called lovers walk
No it's not, it's called the London Road Viaduct.
i’ve done this route so many times irl before and it’s so weird to see it in decent detail in a game
I love using the auto speed, never once gone over the speed limit lol
Have you realised he hasnt posted for a while? Just me?
I just clicked on the channel after new years and noticed
I used to think DMUs were ugly because (tbh they kind of are) they had a door in the middle whereas other train ends came to a point.
Coastway west services run to Chichester and Bognor Regis and Portsmouth Coastway East services run to Lewes Hastings and Ore then the main London to Brighton Line with you talked about the London Road viaduct which is an amazing piece of railway architecture
for the destination board, you can set it by the small screen and click P.I.S:)
At 05:01 the air-con controls are purely for the driving cab
Paul
Nice review
I'm getting it for Christmas! I'm so excited! Btw I ride them trains nearly every day.
I get southern trains all the time
I "could" see my home if it wasn't foggy from the viaduct. There was another one further down the road going to Kemptown but was knocked down. The noise is off too, serious rail whine when trains go over it. EDIT: also the station, not enough shouting hens and stags or football nuts.
lmao
This line isnt Brighton to Hastings. It only goes as far as Eastbourne
Correct.
As one who used to get the train from Southampton to Brighton a lot it’s a real shame they haven’t made and all the major stations packed with AI. Brighton is always packed with people along the platforms
This game would be awesome in VR mode
Yep train sim world vr
66s are most numouos freight loco at the moment. Still in use.
I can’t believe it’s here!!!
you can set the destanasion on the screen on the right
Random question: are you going to review the road to the black sea dlc?
This is my local route, I live in Hailsham, and the nearest station to me is Polegate, also Newhaven doesn't just do fright, they also do passenger ferries to France.
Big up Hailsham
Squirrel the class 66 is still used in the uk, mainly because of the power it has and the reliability of it
Yo hey squirrel you have made so many good videos over the years and you have inspired me to make great videos just like you thanks for being one of my favourite youtubers in the world!
I got train sim world on my PS4 and I may get this DLC for Christmas
The arriva 58 is the train in the thumbnail, I live in Brighton and it runs in the southern services (just saying?)
