  • Comparing which one sounds better. Component speakers are way better even in the rear especially using the stock tweeter position. Speration of sound and cleaner sound.

Helpful comparison. However, the JL’s are $330 & the Focals are $105. So, not like for like. Look for “ sensitivity “ ratings when shopping for speakers to pair with a HU only set up. Typically, the higher the sensitivity, the better they’ll pair with budget or HU only set ups. Let’s face it, coaxials are designed primarily w/ budget & a simpler installation in mind.

Good to see sound deadener on the doors. I've lost count of the number of speaker upgrade videos I've seen on RUclips where they don't bother to treat the doors. The best speakers in the world would sound terrible in a bad enclosure. It's well worth watching the tutorial videos from Crutchfield etc (how to install vibration damping material). It's also well worth adding Fast Rings or similar. Done properly, it will increase midbass, also background noise will be reduced, so will improve clarity.

There is literally no difference! This guy is just comparing cheap junk to high end stuff. Don't believe me? Go to JL audios website right now and look at there 6.5 speakers. They are designed to be either way! JL audio knows coaxs are better because of placement. You don't get that goofy sound separation you do when mounting a tweeter some other place. Even JL audio them selves will tell you coaxes are better when everything is of the same quality!

Them JL audios are literally designed to be either or! The only difference here is brands. If everything was equal the Coaxials would be better. You don't get that sound separation problem with them. Even JL audio them selves admit that! Probably why you can go to JL audios website right now and buy there 6.5s and set them up as Coax or component. So in terms of names coaxial amd woofer are 1. Tweeter in the middle and woofer are separate same with the crossover. Do you need a amp? No. Does it help? Yes makes it sound louder and cleaner. Depending on the amp you get. You don’t need a lot of power to get decent sounds. The focal sound better bc they have higher sentivity so it needs less power to get moving and get loud. So if you don’t want a amp get a speaker with high sensitivity like the JL AUDIO C1. If you want to get loud look for a speaker that have a high power rating and lower sensitivity. Hope this helps.

If you install the component speakers and you like how they sound and have no distortion at high volumes and are happy with how loud they are then there is no need for a amplifier if you get them and want them louder you would have to buy an amplifier that matches the wattage of the speakers. Let’s say that your speakers are rated at 65 Watts a pair then you would need a amplifier that does 65 watts or close to it. First, your comparisson, more than apples to oranges is like oranges to watermelons. You have an entry level coaxial speaker which is the focal auditor series and then you have a budget friendly proper component speaker which is the jl audio C2 650.
Most people compare the JL audio C1 to the focal auditor and the C2 to the Access. The thing here is that the Auditos is actually designed to be a factory speaker replacement (not so much an upgrade). It is designed to be powered directly by the head unit and it has a very cheap built in crossover. The next step in Focal is the Acces, which is a series designed to be powered by an amplifier, but will still work if you power it from the headunit. Now, that is exactly what the JL Audio C1 lineup is made for. An entry level, budget friendly speaker made to be powered by an amp, but capable of working with the HU power. So you are going 3 steps up from the focal auditor to the JL Audio C2.

And the second part. Frecuencies are not directional. What makes them directional is the speaker and its fisical characteristics playing frecuencies too high.
In car audio it is bad, but the thing here is that you can play a 16k hz tone through a good 1" or .75" tweeter and it wont be directional, but you can also play it through a 1.5" tweeter or a 2" tweeter and it will be super directional just because the frecuency is too high and the speaker is too big.
