Hi there I’ve been in the field for a long time doing Car audio you but I have not done a DSP yet but all the videos I watch how to to set up the DSP. They are confusing. Hard to understand you made it simple. Thank you for the video. Good job dude very helpful When I watch the other videos, I’m like Ahh to hard you just made it more simple to understand. I’m more motivated to Installed one and. Thumbs up 👍👍👍👍
Yes I did. This way you can tune your subs with a microphone and dial in the sound you want. I had to use 60 hz instead of 80 bc it got muddy even at the 80hz recommended by JL audio. The midbass stayed at 80hz so yes they can overlap and have different slopes. Many variants like cars acoustic speaker type amp and sound deadening
Yes if you listen to any premium sound system has a Dsp bc it can be fined tuned to the individual and vehicle. You can do that with a amp alone. You don’t need aftermarket radio nowadays. You can take a high level input to the Dsp and then Dsp to the Amps. Just make sure to get good wiring, OFC power wires and some decent speakers and your set.
@@mildaudiophile3879 well my friend I already had one installed.....I got the the dm608...my installer say go with with helix dsp mini but I liked the look of audiocontrol...I've had it installed roughly a week...on my 2012 sonata with nav...he said if I want a retune I can come in get it free...I've just been listening to it...he said there will be an update on there software soon...for I believe time alignment...I've noticed my vehicle being alot more quiet since having it installed...my next step...is having redo my dash kit being they don't make dash kit for my model he's going to custom make one...in a month when he's not as busy with his shop move...
@@mildaudiophile3879 prolly slipped by not going with helix dsp idk...current setup...infinity kappa comp front coaxial rear...5 channel kappa amp..10 inch kappa sub...aftermarket crutchfield wiring...Sony 5500 head unit...soundskins all around...
Yeah my Kenwood has 5 V But I used one 1 kilohertz test tone and it doesn't show up to my dsp distorsión I use the 40 Hz to check the amplifier for the Subwoofer but the Dsp shows the volume 34.35 think shows the distorsión 😅the milk source So I am kind of confused you know so what do you think

Go to their website. Jeff Smith also did a video on 5 star car stereo.
No mid-bass speakers?
great video
did you link chanel’s 9 and 10 for the subs? or is that not needed

Would u say dsp is worth it with an aftermarket head unit?

@@mildaudiophile3879 well I already have a Sony installed was just wondering if it was worth it adding a dsp to it.
@@oslozoya1 simple answer yes! I would save up and get a better DSP like helix or Audison

How can i Chek 😢 the distorsión on the dsp d-4.800 how to now can i set the gains????
Use the MILC light on the input gain. When it turns solid yellow turn it down a bit. Are you using a factory or aftermarket radio?
