Carl sentence is still a great singer ...lead singer for Scottish legends Nazareth . He has recorded 2 albums with them now & both are excellent . He has changed his style a bit but still shows the world how to do a great job .
I remember seeing this on tv so long ago (mid 80's). I was impressed by this set! ECT was such a great show here in the uk, although too shortlived! They had many cool underground bands perform on there. Need more shows like ECT!! I also remember being well impressed by The Grip on there too! Thanks for posting... (:o)
I'm sitting here, wasting my time If I could have it all A dream of fame, a dream of fortune I would buy it all I could make it by myself Don't need a helping hand I don't need money, just some time All I need is a handful of Chorus: WOMEN & ROCK, I SAID TO YOU WOMEN & ROCK, I SAID TO YOU I'm moving on, I work so hard I need to sleep tonight I sat down & closed my eyes Then I realised I'm all alone, passing some time With some thoughts in my mind I need music, I need love All I need is a handfullof Repeat Chorus: Turn it up cos I like it loud It's the music for me It's taken over everything Leave it up, it's the power I want Just leave it to me I'm taking over everything
Their earlier stuff is even better - check out the 'Ridin' High b/w 'Hurt You' 7" and '50.000 Stallions' from the '60 Minutes Plus' comp when they still had Phil Campbell on guitar before he left for Motorhead.
Em um comentário disseram que sentiram falta dessa banda nos anos 80 . E eu concluo... sinto falta é dos anos 80 com essas bandas. Longa vida ao Heavy Metal 🎉
What Great footage! I went to school with Phil Vokins ( far left guitar ) A pretty good Band actually and an obvious case of not being in the right place at the right time. Phil was good at Maths too . . . i copied him.
Carl Sentance is playing at the Cambridge Rock Festival this year with 'The 80's Rocked' All Star Band, other members are: Danny Vaughn (Tyketto). Simon Wood (Stilettos), Jon Pease (Vandal, Jealousy). Chris Childs and Harry james (Thunder). Should be a good one!
Our Creator and Rock. This beautifuul melody is belong to Creator..WE need new PErsian Risk bands..this time not for women..for the Creator of them. For the most beautiful. Persian Risk members wear chains..This is for war for the Creator not for women. He wants us fight against all kind of evil. Women want only love words nothing more..God wants us be fighters.
Always loved this from when I first saw it on ECT! Shame I never saw them live and of course the guitars going out of tune at the end! Early Floyd probably...
1. Women And Rock 2. Rise Up 3. Too Different All available on the 'Rise Up' CD, only recently re-issued by High Roller with killer bonus tracks. Geddit!
Good set, interesting that they played three numbers instead of the normal two on this show. Guitars did sound a bit out of tune, but good performance from the drummer.
mr sentence on vocals … one of the best singers of the time
One of the best singers of all time!
The way he commands the stage, and that powerful voice!
Now in NAZARETH
@@Franz_Donnermann I've known Carl for years and he has been the vocalist for Nazareth now for a number of years!
The drummer is Steve Hopgood, good mate of mine..I was his drum tech in 94 in europe when he was in Killers..
Wow incredible singer

The sound was always good on ECT unlike The Tube!
Good memories, I was actually in the studio audience for this. Hanoi Rocks were meant to have been on this show but pulled out at the last minute.
I'm sitting here, wasting my time
If I could have it all
A dream of fame, a dream of fortune
I would buy it all
I could make it by myself
Don't need a helping hand
I don't need money, just some time
All I need is a handful of
Chorus:
WOMEN & ROCK, I SAID TO YOU
WOMEN & ROCK, I SAID TO YOU
I'm moving on, I work so hard
I need to sleep tonight
I sat down & closed my eyes
Then I realised
I'm all alone,passing some time
With some thoughts in my mind
I need music, I need love
All I need is a handfullof
Repeat Chorus:
Turn it up cos I like it loud
It's the music for me
It's taken over everything
Leave it up, it's the power I want
Just leave it to me
I'm taking over everything
Man, what sick songs! How have I never heard this before? It's going to be on my playlist forever now!
Their earlier stuff is even better - check out the 'Ridin' High b/w 'Hurt You' 7" and '50.000 Stallions' from the '60 Minutes Plus' comp when they still had Phil Campbell on guitar before he left for Motorhead.
I'm just sad I never got to see them live. The world will never know what it missed out on by passing on these guys.
The singer is at NAZARETH NOW
I wish from allmighty Creator for this great band to give them very big concerts..with a very big show..they deserve..even they got older..
Golden great voice.

Seeing live Persian Risk, awesome. Only minor gripe is why did they cut it off in the middle of "Too Different"? That song rules.
Phil Campbell on the Flying V guitar, from Motörhead fame !!!
That's not Phil Campbell (he was gone by then) - that's Phil Vokins on the Flying V.
Phil was already in Motorhead by this time, this is 1985
They supported motorhead at Newcastle Mayfair in 1984 got hit with a pint of beer by the guitarist on the left with the black guitar!

Раритет! Круть!
Heard about the guys on a Motörhead documentary. They didn’t really speak highly of them. Had to check it out for myself.
this band rules. along with Jaguar these were two great NWOBHM bands that shouldve made it a bit bigger.
HAIL PERSIAN RISK 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
super songs
OH my BEAR
I still have the Rise Up album, the Too Different 12" single and Ridin' High 7" Single - a great band - should have done much better

Always loved this from when I first saw it on ECT! Shame I never saw them live and of course the guitars going out of tune at the end! Early Floyd probably...

2. Rise Up
3. Too Different
All available on the 'Rise Up' CD, only recently re-issued by High Roller with killer bonus tracks. Geddit!
It could be a excellent show if the guitars were tuned! but still tons of energy and tight drumming.
Never new Michael shumaker was in a band
Good set, interesting that they played three numbers instead of the normal two on this show.
Guitars did sound a bit out of tune, but good performance from the drummer.
Why are they not that well known? The singer is great. Perhaps they weren’t effeminate enough for the 80s? 🤷🤷
Do they have Persian cats HaHaHaHeHeHe
Enter the 5-headed Welsh dragon! PR were the greatest NWOBHM band to never make it big.
Persian priest or judas risk
wheres that m8 is he still playing?
lml
I think it was so hot that the guitars went out of tune
Caroine Hughes What gave you the impression that he guitars were out of tune?
Maybe its due to the fact that shes married to the bass player.....they seem to notice these things lol
They weren't the same after Phil Campbell left.
well when you get offered a gig with Motorhead, I don't suppose anyone would say no. :)
great band pity the guitars were out of tune for this show
Classic 80s metal all the clichés, pure shit
Motorheads wurzel on lead guitar
Haha...no it is'nt. 😂
