Remember watching this when it was first aired on Channel 4 back in 1985, it’s still amazing and the best thing you’ll see in a long time, a faultless performance and a lesson in how it’s done ✅
I'll grab all the ECT I can find. The first time I ever heard "The Right Stuff" by Hawkwind. I've seen Girlschool at all kinds of places and always had a blast, Rock Goddess have given me the slip so far.
Met them once and believe it or not they were a lot cuter looking in the flesh and boy did they smell so hot with their choice of perfume which was rather nice if you ever met Girlschool after a show. Nuff said.
Bought this album back in 1983 or 84 when I was stationed in W. Germany. Never could find a concert venue for them then, of course there was no internet to help.
Rock Goddess DID support Def Leppard in 1983 at their Pyromania Tour here in Germany (that was I believe before their album took a skyrocketing in the USA); I was at the Offenbach show and I believe half the audience were American soldiers... anyway both Rock Goddess and Def Leppard were on fire that night! The girls played: 01. Satisfied Then Crucified 02. Hold Me Down 03. Heavy Metal Rock'n'Roll 04. The Visitors Are Here 05. Back To You 06. Gotta Let Your Hair Down 07. In The Night 08. You Got Fire 09. One Hot Night 10. God Be With You 11. Back To You (again)
Hello! I've also noticed that they are pretty unknown here in Finland. I was about 20 years old when the Marquee show was seen in Finnish TV, and I've been a fan since... Unfortunately my family then had a Beta VCR, not a VHS, the tape is still there but nowadays there aren't any functionla Beta players... And it's a shame that the Marquee show has not been digitalized and issued as a DVD... To my knowledge... t. Jari from Tampere
Here Finland not many know that band. Even they are listening mutch 80'heavy metal then . I'm always very gretatful to Finish tv how shows Goddess Marguee show. That explosed my head i'm then about 12. ;)
This show apparently takes place quite awhile after the Live in London Marquee show as they do songs from their 3rd lp. Does nobody have any live footage from the earlier days with Tracy Lamb? They played the Reading fest in 1982. I would love to see that footage!

I remember watching this show. ECT (Extra Celestial Transmission). Great programme. Loved the girls Rock Goddess.
Another great band that never got the recognition they deserved. Thanks for all these ECT vids man, good times.

The bass player ended playing in Girlschool some years later
That album she played on - Take a Bite - had a better bass sound than the other Girschool albums as well. Lol, I was playing them all earlier.

Agreed! Especially in the 80's some women metal bands were rockin' out as hard as men; e.g.: Girlschool, Wendy O'Williams...

her voice is much better when she's not trying to make it husky
aah haaam! stfu
I give the u.k. a E for effert, but it sounds nothing like American metal.
Thank fuck they are not americans
The UK invented Metal, fact!
They have a more authentic sound than similar US bands, except maybe Phantom Blue (1st album) who were bigger in UK & Europe than America anyway.
Who the hell made them do this?
Wtf is that supposed to mean ?
