I’ve got to find another pair of stock rims for my 97 klx300 just to take the hubs so I can lace me some supermoto wheels up I’m lucky enough to find an front extension bracket for my over size break oem hubs are $500 a pair but I think it’s worth the build no one else does

Would be cool to see your take on a more in depth video of the re-winding and wiring of the stator and the reg/rec. I use a total loss 9800mAh rechargeable battery system in my KX500 sumo. 2 stroke for life.
I have three more bikes to make walk around vids for then I plan on going more in-depth and making additional vids for each one if there’s enough interest. I also try not to think about the money spent :( hahaha
I bought my son an 06 YZ 125 brand new. He raced it for a couple years and now it has been sitting in storage for the past 4 yrs or so. I have 12k into the bike thus far with all Hinson clutch, SS braided brake lines, wrks conec. frame guards, rad braces, skid plate, fmf SST pipe with shorty silencer, ASV levers, Pro-Action suspension, etc., etc. Also a fresh 144 kit done by Eric Gorr of millinium technologies which includes a fresh hot rods rod, crank, and bearings. new All balls wheel bearing and steering stem bearings, fresh linkage, swing arm, pivot and shock bearings, ufo plastics and so forth. He's not going to race any more and Im curious about doing a conversion like you've done here. For what $ I already have put into the bike vs the maybe 2500 I could get selling it Id like to get some use out of it. In your opinion since you've already done this is it worth it to put the money into the build ? Or would I be better off selling this season points championship winning bike for a few g's and plunking down an additional 4 to 5 g and get a new DRZ400 ? Im also curious (since I turn my own wrenches on all my stuff) more in depth detailed instructions concerning the install of the additional lighting coils, wiring, and battery size, hold down bracket and placement location. Great job on your build it looks awesome. Are you happy with the handling, comfort, and rideability of your bike ? What kind of real world mpg do you get out of it ? Thanks for sharing. PS. The dreaded ooze outta the back if the pipe issue. I always used Klotz R50 oil for premix. That oil is rated to provide complete engine protection at a 100:1 mixing ratio. The owners manual and factory service manual say to mix at 32:1 I started mixing at 32:1 with that oil then gradually kept leaning it closer to 100:1 I never got to 100:1 but I settled in at a very confident 50:1 ratio and the ooze disappeared. Never had an engine failure of any sort. But I did replace the top end every 5 hrs of use as suggested in the factory owners manual as preventative maintenance. Bottem end every 10 hours. I monitored hourly engine run time by installing an engine hour meter. It sticks onto the motor with self adhesive and is poered by its own little button type batteries. It turns itself on and off by itself when it senses vibration. The bike now currently as it sits has roughly 34 run time hours on it total. He continually raced his bike harder and faster as his skill level increased. The black exhaust ooze went away once he learned to Stay "on the pipe" as they put it. Staying in the higher rpm range of the engine, (where 2 strokes make the most power) he developed an unbeatable run n gun riding style that won him many races and a season points championship in his amatuer racing career. Man I loved the sound if him tearing up the track. And the smell of that Klotz R50 Racing Oil mixed with VP 112 is unmistakeable. I even still have a candle with the Klotz premix oil scent. I dont remember where I bought it from or if they even still sell them any more but its a pretty cool candle to have displayed in the shop. Also (jst a suggestion for u) I installed temp strips on the back side of his clutch housing and on the cylinder to monitor temps. I used "engine ice" brand antifreeze coolant. I live in Ladysmith Wisconsin. I refuse to give this bike away for dirt cheap cause Ive got 12 g into it and its better than showroom new condition. If anyone out there wants to offer me a decent realistic price to buy the bike Id sell it. Reason being...? It is an MX AX steed that is highly modified and tuned for that specific purpose and it would be a shame to detune it for use on the street. The cool factor would be outta sight though as seen in your build. A rare conversion of the likes Ive never seen before until I happened to search for it on you tube tonight. Oh and one more thing I'll share with you just so you know. The 2006 (as my yz is) was the first year that came with the SSS front forks. Speed Sensitive Suspension. All 2006 and newer YZ 125's have these forks. And it is far superior to prier year models. Not saying that older bikes don't have really good forks. But the SSS forks are better. Significantly better. After having Pro Action do their tune it is frkn awesome. Only thing better would be having a set built by Mitch Payton himself at a cost of around 15k. And for fork seals I had PA install SKS brand seals and wipers. They are the best seals on the planet. Pricey but hey...when you want your kid to win races you do everything you can to make sure that if he doesn't win a race it wasn't the bikes fault. Spare no expense. If hes gonna be wfo, wringing that motor out for everything its got. It had better not fail anywhere. It would cost him a race win if it did. And at those speeds, blitzing whoops, hammering down the start straights and clearing doubles triple and an occasional quad a machine failure could cost him his life. We survived those racing years. My 3 youngest of my 4 sons raced for 7 years. 65's, 85's and then 125's. I bought all there bikes new from the dealership. 2 Kaws. 2 Suzys and 3 yammys. 7 years of racing, countless hours of working on the bikes by myself, thousands of miles traveled. Between the 3 kids and me all added up... 36 broken bones 11 concussions and undetermined sprains, strains, bumps, and bruises. Many many trophies and race wins. Four season points championships. And ZERO regrets. Bikers are a different breed. And we met the greatest people too. Helpful, courteous, friendly, generous, honorable and fun people to be with. The best. ✌️n♥ T.L.E.
That’s a catch can. The vent tubes from the power valve and carb all run into that then one of the big black tubes is a free air vent. This catches all the premix that leaks so it doesn’t spill onto the road/track. I also have another catch can zip ties to the inside of my radiator shroud for catching coolant.
Highest I saw was 82mph at the very top of 6th gear at one point (I don’t think that made the video). I’m running 14/44 with stock ‘97 internal gearing.
What exact wheel specs did you go with? Were they originally for a different bike? Or did warp 9 already have a set they offer for these bikes? Love the build!
Warp9 had a setup but the front brake bracket that they sent doesn’t work. Had to come up with something on my own for that. I custom machined a bracket to make the moto master master cylinder and rotor work.

Foot pegs themselves are just generic chinesium ones from Amazon. They worked great and took MANY hard falls back when I rode this bike on trails/woods so I decided to leave them on there for now. The foot peg sliders are warp9. I have a sumo fender but no graphics for it so I’m just running the newer yz standard fender for now.
@@jtoagdaye oh ok i had those footpegs on my wr450f they look awesome and feel great but break when drop the bike i bought them 3 times cus they were cheap but broke every time finally invested in better ones. im a new guy in the stunt riding scene so i drop my bike often

That’s just a fuel level sensor. It’s an LSK electronics kit.

Lean out the pilot a bit and it should clean up the spooge. If it's enough to run down the silencer it is too much.
I read my plug not my silencer. Going off of anything but the spark plug is asking for trouble.
@@jtoagdaye plug doesn't tell you a whole lot about the pilot. If you have a mess out back though, that is a solid indication.
