What exactly has Asia lost? You might be thinking of some golden age where actually most people were much, much worse off than they are now. For example, from 1644-1911, China was under the rule of the Manchus, who made Chinese people do humiliating things. China was ravaged and raped in the 1200s. Even in the Ming period, there was a absolute monarchy, internal warfare, and women had their feet bound. (Look up images of that.) For much of history since the year 1,000, India was under the control of Islamic groups including the Mughals, who perpetrated perhaps the worst massacres in history against Hindus and others. In Japan from the 1600s to the 1800s, anyone who left Japan would be killed if they ever returned, and there was a heirarchy of Daimyo and Shogun who lorded over the majority. I'm not gonna lie, but the 700s in China and the 400s in India seem pretty okay. The 600s to 700s saw the destruction of numerous cultures when the original Islamic Invasions occurred, though. Still, it is hard to see what you think Asia will "regain" that it doesn't have now.

We could mine the moon for its precious sources of helium-3, which can be used as rocket fuel. It would also be cheaper to launch rockets off the moon, lighter gravity. China has plans to send people to the moon, apparently. I think of a lot of people that would love to be able to regularly visit the moon. It would be nice to turn the old American landing sites into national parks/tourist traps. All those flags have probably been bleached white by now. That's all I can think of for the moon.
Our moon isn't the only moon that has been talked about for future colony plans, moons of Jupiter and Saturn have also been talked about too. Also as mining sites for rich minerals. Do some research.
