the purpose of this comment is to let you know you're not just helping art enthusiasts but also students from other industry. i am an interior design student tasked to render a glass table and decided to watch this video for techniques and i ended up with a complete fine arts lecture on understanding glass and colors and controllinh watercolor around them. FANTASTIC TEACHING!
Seriously - this was the most helpful video for something that I want to paint, but keep having trouble drawing correctly! I adore vases and glass and, even without botanicals in them! Thank you for the recommendation of starting with center points of a rectangle, to get the sides closer to even.
I’m not good at drawing, so appreciate the tip to draw the rectangle as a guide. You make it seem so doable to paint glass with your clear explanations. Great video!
thank you so much for this video. im a complete novice and i wish i could show you what i painted thanks to this. it's not at this level but it's way better than i thought possible for myself. thank you 🖤
awww it's always a pleasure!! So glad the drawing portion was also useful. I guess it's a good thing that I'm bad at drawing symmetry so I can share the method xD hahaha
Hello Nia! I'm always in awe as I watch you paint. The beginning was so helpful to me - I never would've drawn the square, but it really gave my visual mind a clear idea in seeing it as you did. Your vases turned out really beautiful. Thanks, Nia.
Such a great tutorial! I am a complete beginner in watercolor and had a lot of difficulty painting glass vases/bottles. This helps me lots! Thank you so much!!!
Haha it's probably because I don't really follow trends. But it's okay, as long as the content is useful for people, I'll keep posting and slowly build this channel ❤️
Nia! I can't believe how u put Magic in your Paintings by stealing it from the Actual thing. I just appreciate u for all the hard work and thank-you to encourage me to paint. Not much excellent, but my painting has turned out to be well now! Thank-you again❤
Wow....this is such a helpful video. I love the color you chose, and when you mentioned you use a color of your choice, such as green or brown, I instantly thought how great it would be if you did additional tutorials for glass bottles using those. Maybe a single colored vase with a flower or something. I just love watching you paint. Thank you so much!
i love your channel so much! your video are so relaxing and easy to follow. you always motivate me to draw more :) thank you for creating such a beautiful content
Very detailed work you did there! You deserve more views seriously :D Maybe if you can make a video that shows tips and other steps for watercoloring, that would be nice c:
I just did my first glass jar this week. Wow! So thankful for your tutorial this week. At least I picked the right color! Appreciate all the helpful hints. Did you consider using masking fluid?
Yay great job!!! You can actually use any colour, like greens or browns would look really nice as well. I did consider using masking fluid, but since some ppl doesn't have access to it, I decided to not use it for this painting :))
Stunning Nia! Wondered why you picked a cellulose paper though? I haven’t used it in awhile, but recently looked at a few things I’d done using cellulose and they weren’t so bad, lol. Super music too in this one. I love piano jazz. Calming and soothing. Thanks for the inspiration. You’re hands look wonderful. All cleared up. My legs continue clear as well. They love the summer. Blessings and Love!
Yay! I love piano Jazz too :D:D Cellulose is just more affordable, and my sister gave me this sketchbook, so I use what I have hahaha but the difference I find is how bright the colour is with cotton vs the fading of colours with cellulose as the paint dries. Thats can can easily be built up with layers tough.also at Sometimes it's easier to create lighter values because it fades :p
Hey Nia! You're never late in uploading any video... But will you please paint peonies I love those flowers 💐 ... I would like to see Ur watercolor peonies!! ❤️
It's a shame that youtube doesn't show me your videos when they come out even though I'm subscribed. Anyway, great tutorial. You make it look so easy and fun!!! I'll need a lot of practice to do this well.
