This did not resolve my Bluetooth issue, when I look at blue tooth in system settings it claim it’s off, even though I turned it on, shortly after it turns off again , but never actually turned on.
I tried this after watching your very good video. However, my bluetooth still won't stay on. In system report it says it's off. 😞. Is there something else I can try?
No this does not do anything to the Bluetooth which simply does not stay on. This is on a 2011 iMac 12,2 where Ventura works well with Bluetooth functionality but Sonoma seems to have an issue. WiFi is working, Bluetooth is not.
I also have the (mid-2011, 27”) 12,2 iMac and neither my Apple keyboard nor Apple trackpad connect by bluetooth after upgrading to Sonoma. The 2nd generation rechargeable keyboard works when I physically hook up the lightning port to the iMac USB port. My Apple trackpad is the first generation, which does not allow for a lightning cable to be attached.
You have to install the post root patches. It worked on my mid 2011 imac. I ended up having to reinstall the open core patcher to a usb then re-download it to the computer and install the post root patches. It takes a little big due to the lag but it fixed everything you guys are having issues with
I have no internet on my MacBook mid 2012. I installed the latest opencore, but when I click post-install root patches it does not let me click "Start Root Patching" it is grayed out. PLEASE HELP! Thank you!
I followed some videos that taught how to update to the latest version cos I'm using a mid 2012 I did that and boom no Wi-Fi I got frustrated and saw your video after 2 days of looking for a solution now my laptop is now a machine from a computer
Please do we have to upgrade to Sonoma before fixing the Wi-Fi problem? if yes can the Open core work without internet? or do we remain in Ventura and open settings in open core and uncheck verbose. confirm what should be done. I really want to upgrade immediately. Thank you.
You have to be connected to the internet. Have a ethernet cable plugged into the ethernet cable box on the wall. This way you will have internet. Once you have internet I would go to Dortania git hub and proceed. I have gone from Sierra to High Sierra, Catalina, Sonoma and now I am running on Big Sur. I have a 2011 MBP. I went through the steps very slowly. I made mistakes but I went to the FAQ on OpenCore to find my answers. I hope this helps you.
Build & install opencore showing Greted out. (i have installed dual boot (Windows 11 & Mac os sonoma 14.2.1 ,, everything working good .But graphic showing 7 mb & audio not working )
Your video came through when all others failed to. Thank you. I was about to go back to my old operating system until I watched this very informative and easy to follow video.
Does this work for a Mac Pro 5,1? Is there anything about this Patcher that is different from the new OCLP 1.01 that specifically has to do with Hardware Acceleration? Thanks.
hi there Thanks for the video , However it doesnt really make sense, if wifi isnt working , how are you downloading the updates ? are you using ethernet ? if so thats not useful to macbooks Ect without an ethernet port . or can the updates. be done offline like some linux updates , ? , thanks ,
Thank You!! This is the first time I put an updated operating system on an unsupported device and I was regretting it when I updated it today and all of a sudden the laptop wasn’t picking up any network. After viewing many videos and trying different things that didn’t work, I came across yours and followed your instructions. Worked like a charm.
Cause it needs to download the required files. If you're using a MacPro or Mac mini, you can use Ethernet. If you're using any other Mac lineup, you can tether using iPhone/Android or can use USB to Ethernet Adapter.
Upon getting to where you post the root patches it’s saying available patches for your system: -Graphics: AMD TeraScale 2 -Graphics: Intel Sandy Bridge -Miscellaneous: Legacy Keyboard Backlight Cannot patch due to the following reasons: Unsupported Host OS ??? And start root patching greyed out

quando apro opencore legacy patcher, mac dice " impossibile aprire perché il file è danneggiato, sposta nel cestino"
How is internet required for root patching if WI-FI is the main objective we tryna fix here???
