That chassis looks amazing. The last time at the cash days, I talked to Dan about this. He definitely took a lot of time and hard work to create this design. Hope to be out again soon to see it in person and possibly racing against it.
@@HarleyDesignsInc Yes, I think the results look a lot more professional. I teach CTE STEM at the middle school level and have a lot of great makerspace equipment. Maybe I can talk someone into a mini CNC machine for my classroom 🙂.
Learned alot from this single short video. Thank you very much sir. Will try to catch one of your livestreams as I'm interested in purchasing a small milling machine and 3d printer as well. Thanks again.
Cool stuff mate..! We just bought a Stepcraft M1000 for work so it will be cool to do my own stuff on it. Maybe I'll start a flat rail chassis company...lol.😁 Always enjoy everything you do Josh.. Cheers 👍
Super geeky and way cool to watch you making functional eye candy -- better than the old Unwrapped candy making show that Mark Summers hosted...keep it up...and keep the videos coming. I can't make Antioch due to wheelie bar being MIA for my new chassis ; (
I really enjoy your videos and these are things I’d like to begin learning on. Any recommendations on where to start would be much appreciated. ;) keep up the great work!!
You all probably dont care at all but does anybody know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account? I somehow forgot the account password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me
@Dallas Parker I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm trying it out atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
What do you think about the Maclan drag esc? Have you even tried the Maclan drag esc yet? I have not but watched their videos on it and seems to be on a level of it’s own. I don’t think any other company has done what Maclan has. I think it will increase their share of the ESC market and esc market as a whole. I just bought a couple HW esc’s so it might be the 1st of January before i get one. I hope you can get one ASAP and let us know what you think. I think it’s such a huge leap from other ESC’s on market software side. I want you to review it. Thanks.
I don't know anything about it yet, I have only seen the product descriptions personally. We will see if people who run these cars all the time start making the switch or not. The feature list they have looks promising, but you can write anything you want on a website. The proof will be in the performance of course!
Ok this is strange from me but a serious suggestion from me for dust collection. Have you thought about making a 3d printed hood to cover the spindle and cutter on the CNC that a small hose connects to and then make an adapter to connect the hose to your shop vac hose. Hope that make sense.
Yeah the standard dust collector is very similar to that, but if I run it you don’t see anything on the video. So for this one I just ran a shop vac by hand.
It's almost double-double sided tape. It's common way to do this stuff and I'm liking the method a lot more than the previous double sided tape method I had used.
@@HarleyDesignsInc yeah, I know the struggle... there are very thin double sided tapes out there which work. Seems every good type/brand just goes out of business and then it's gone again! Good luck though, love your stuff.
Could you release the cad file for the brace I’m trying to convert my dr10 to a carbon fiber chassis and the brace I s the only part left that I need thanks bro!
I have a bunch of different types of filament. For the large majority of my prints, I stick with PLA. It's a high performing filament and is very easy to print. There are some more exotic materials that add strength but are more difficult to print.
I don’t know that low cost was ever in their goal but there are two common classes, 13.5 and outlaw. In outlaw many clubs force you to only run blinky ESC and a 13.5 motor. Some also say no wheelie bar. That’s the cheapest no prep class.
Because I’m not drag racing here or giving advice on drag racing. I’m designing and fabricating parts for a drag racer, which I do happen to know a lot about.
"I do have a stream that you can watch just incase you want to print a lawnmower to bolt onto your drag car..." 😉
Yep! Awesome stuff! I just took my Drag Slash ‘Cuda out for its first test runs and had a blast!

Right up my ally, good stuff brother 💪🏾💯
It's a little different type of video, not usually very popular but it was a fun project for the evening.
@@HarleyDesignsInc but it brings in a different audience to your channel which is good 💪🏾💯
Nice overview. I model and print some parts, but I've never seen the process with a CNC, which was cool to see.
Cutting parts is something I really enjoy. There is something more satisfying about a cut part vs a printed part to me!

Nice video! Yes more drag videos
Great video Josh!
Been watching you for years. Videos are good, informative. Do you Drag race yourself? I guess I need to check the videos.

Love the drag racing videos. It is something I am looking to get into, and it’s nice to see what happens. Plus when will you be racing?
I could go racing this weekend, my car is ready to go. But I probably need to do some testing/practice before I give my money away in a cash day!

@Dallas Parker it worked and I finally got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thanks so much, you saved my account :D
@Kyler Damien glad I could help xD
Would love to see them
I think you should do a monthly mayhem with SCX24's or another mini crawler. SCT? Monster Truck? Someting else?
Nice man your a good buddy to have 👍
I need these parts
Is it possible to order the parts needed to tie in the front bulkhead to the chassis?
Yes you can email me thru my website harleydesigns.com or my social media.

hmm.. double sided sticky tape... you might have invented something! LOL

Where can I buy the parts you made for this car?
You can message me on Facebook or IG.
Could you release the cad file for the brace I’m trying to convert my dr10 to a carbon fiber chassis and the brace I s the only part left that I need thanks bro!
You can shoot me a message on Facebook or Instagram, I sell the set for $25.
What angle finder were you using?
It’s just a cheap old school one. I need to buy one of those more compact digital units.
@@HarleyDesignsInc that shelf will still be crooked with that digital angle finder 😋
Very cool.
Iv been interested in one.
But there isn't much of a following here.

What filament do you use and is it the best possible option for RC parts?

No prep racing Was supposed to be a LOW COST fun way to race.....cars like this belong in a SEPARATE class
