I have an idea to assist with the trimming process at the beginning. Purchase a mannequin head that is similar to yours, and use this to do the trimming. Then you could do a much better job trimming it. May save a lot of time. If you try it, let me know if it works.
+Kendall Miller i dont re-use them. As you cut them to make them fit, add glue and makeup. I know some do re-use them but i think they can only use them twice. It is harder to work with them the second time.
What about if you want to paint yourself a different color with the baldcap like for a cosplay you wanna make yourself blue or red, what is the best recommanded facepaint for that and do i need to apply make up beforehand on the baldcap as well?
It is exactly the same. But then in color :). You would do the same on your head, face and neck. I prefer alcohol activated makeup as it looks realy real. But you could do this with water based makeup as well. Greasepaint works good to but you would need to fixate this realy well with powder. This takes a lot of time.
Another quick question? what did you use on the side of the baldcap to make it blend in with your skin, i tried using liquid latex but that does not work?
Very interesting! I‘m only just starting out with occasionally wearing wigs over my very short hair and I‘m thinking about creating a kind of custom made latex ‚hairband‘ to keep the short hairs at the ears and necks from peaking out. I just need to find a way, where it won’t take me an hour to get ready every single time, lol. It’s shocking, how much you need to pay for a wig, that’s actually shaped like your hairline.
Hi mam Can we get same thing to apply on my legs because my legs are burned Like a pants I m expecting. Is it possible to make a pant with that material ? So it can help me to cover my burned skins. Thanks
The alcohol based makeup can cover the color from your scar. But if the skin is sensitive the alcohol might irritate your skin. Then you could use cream based foundation. If you want to hide the scar you can look into on skin silicone like sculpt gel by mouldlife. We use this to create wounds but you can cover scars with it as well. Please ask your doctor before using these products. As i don't know that mutch about burn scars. Creating pants with the latex is possible. But to fit your legs you would need a cast from your legs to create them on. I don't know where you are from but if that is what you are looking for you should contact a professional fx artist and work with them on this. Good luck! I hope you get this done 🥰.
Yes you can. But be carefull with your hair. That you dont get any in there. I like using glue because it is much easyer to work with but latex will work.
Yes. As long as it is the same color as you use for the rest of your face / skin. Be sure to blend the edge of the bald cap realy well. It is harder to cover the edge to invisible with normal foundation.
@@SchminkenGrime Thank you for your prompt reply. Just one stupid question. I should apply the wig to the cap BEFORE stippling the makeup stuff right? Or will the glue and the lace wig adhere to the makeup and powder?
I work at spirit Halloween and we sell latex bald caps and I was thinking of buying one so my wig can look more natural.
Jessi Cruz I’m thinking the same thing🤔
Hunnie I’m going to the store later today bc I’m definitely doing this

This looks so good! What shade of body paint did you use for the skin tone? :-)
I used a mix of colors from the skin cover palette by Encore. Alcohol activated makeup
Love your videos but did have a question on this one in particular. Is the mehron bald cap reusable?

Good to know! Thank you for the quick reply!
