Great video and one I've definitely been looking for as I own an X100V and was looking at purchasing the WCL, so thanks for the info. That was invaluable!. On another note, I found your style and pace was excellent. I did notice the sound breaking up a little, so I watched the video again through a different pair of headphones and it was the same. Keep up the good work, you just gained a sub 👍
Thanks Glen! Yeah, I feel like I tried recording this video over the course of two days... I got to a point where I good enough was better than great. the white sennheiser mic I used for this was getting a bit long in the tooth, so it has been retired. I still love this lens converter. it lives in my bag and on more often on my camera. As far as I know (from being at the Fuji boot at WPPI last week) it will also work with the x100VI... so that's good to know should we decide to upgrade to future x100 cameras... like iphones, I might skip this new iteration. The spec-bump just isn't enough for me. Thanks again for being here. I have a few videos lined up, one about a new bag that I love which ISN'T peak design. So that will be fun.
I have it for my X100F and can say that it is really good. My only 2 complains are that it makes the camera “bigger” and the fact that it blocks the built in flash. Although I don’t use the flash that much, it has become handy on several occasions.
Oh good to know! I haven’t used the converter with the flash yet. Thanks for letting us know. And yes, it definitely dwarfs the size of the camera body. I’m glad you like using it too.
Well done. Mine is almost welded on about 60% of the time. It's great for car shows where you have to get close but don't want the distortion of the wider lenses.
It’s a fun lens/adapter. It breathes new life into the system. I’ll probably be getting the new hotness (x100 iv?) and I feel like this will probably work with that too🤞. Thanks for being here.
That’s so sweet of you to say! I’m trying to make things that feel good to me. So I really appreciate it. Also, I heard that the kids are calling charisma “riz” these days. It just makes me think of crackers (ritz). Have a great day, and thanks for the sub. What sort of videos are you interested in seeing?
It's a neat mod for a fixed lens body... I had no idea they existed until well after purchasing the x100v. I'm also impressed with the quality of these converters... what a time to be alive. Thanks for being here : )
Thanks friend. Yeah I took it with me (as a last minute decision) to Japan this month. And I’m glad I did. Having that 28mm range was so helpful for shooting street (I am out of my depth). Thanks for being here.
@@timmuza possibly, and when I can afford it. I tend to prefer the 27/28mm focal length. Currently I get that from my Ricoh GR3, which is also much smaller and flatter. Perhaps having the teleconverter lens provides a more versatile (if less pocketable) travel setup.
This channel really needs to grow more. The quality of these videos is crazy good. They're really informative, they're cool, they're catchy. Good job dude
That’s really sweet! My hope with the channel is to add a net positive to the camera community and hopefully help people feel more comfortable and confident taking photos. I appreciate the sub!
Thanks Dexter. It’s definitely a very different camera. I was putting this out and saw the the new Leica was released. It’s a desperate attempt to compare what I have to what is new… It’s a sickness. What did you like about your Fuji system vs your Q2?
@@dexterslabmi thanks friend. I like making videos (mostly for clients) but RUclips is a nice little gym for my video skills. I’ll keep making videos so long as they are worthy of existing.
Totally agree, I got to hold and play with the Q3 for a few minutes at a wedding last weekend, it does this really fun/distracting eye-autofocus where it puts two glowing green boxes around eyes of whomever it’s tracking… very distracting feature. I found the autofocus to be worse than my x100v… it was probably just me not knowing the system well enough. Love that internal storage tho. It felt great to walk around with that little red dot 🔴. Extra confidence boost for sure.
Oh definitely not close. I saw that the Q3 reviews were coming out as I was publishing this video. The title is purely for SEO and trying to stay current. In many ways I feel the x100v is superior. But I could be wrong, I’ve been wrong before. Thanks for being here friend : )
Your comparison sounds like a joke, the X100v had only 6 month with me whereas the Leica is a joy to use even not being perfect either, however between those two ate at least to leagues between is the old sony Rx1r, IMHO
I had about five minutes with the Q3 at a wedding last month, it certainly does give you the confidence to walk up to people in a low key way and snap some candids. Oh man, my friend Taylor reviewed the Sony Rx1r, that thing was for sure a sleeper hit of a camera. Thanks for watching and contributing. I appreciate you being here : )
Good specifications don't do a good photograph or enjoyment. I am not professional, if I were I am sure I'd think differently, but for joy and looks that invite you to grab the camera I feel the popularity of the X100 line talks for itself. As a vehicle to get nice photographs, which is not my goal as I like more the experience, a Sony RX100 seems to win more photographic contests. I have seen many nice photographs with a X-Pan but no one with a panoramic medium format.

I also haven’t taken mine off since I purchased it. I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one.
Great info, wondered about one of these but always thought it was defeatist, now you’ve got me thinking again. Cheers

I always like humors ways of conveying msg and facts. And your charisma nail it. Keep it up. New sub.

Good, complex and funny review :D
Great review thank you! I actually kinda love how it looks on the lens.

Good for external architecture as very little distortion on images, at least on jpeg and film sims.
Interesting vid. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it. Are you going to get one?

Cool video… I use Q2 and had the Fuji Maybe good… but not close.

100V has a great form factor, viewfinder, flip screen and great look.. + good jpegs. Keep up the good content buddy.

On price definitely not. In image quality it’s extremely close t except in the upper iso ranges.
@@WhoIsSerafin Absolutely! I wish it was stronger in lowlight too. Maybe in the next iteration?
backgroundmusic a little too loud.
I just re-watched. You are absolutely correct. Not a bad time tho…
Time=tune.
I love my X100V, and it's a terrific camera, but in no universe can it compete with the new Q3.

Hardly 'close' IMHO.
