I've been aware of San Martin for a few years now but didn't want a "homage" then saw the one your showing and bought one. Its exceptional. I don't normally do textured dials but this has a mesmerising effect without looking like a ploughed field (like Omega) fit and finish is outstanding. It wears really well being so slim. I'm in the middle of testing the accuracy, in 25 days it's 22 seconds fast the weather has been cold to very cold so I'm very pleased. Not cheap but very good value.
I have this watch in blue in 36 mm and I love it! Ruined me for cheaper watches unfortunately! Only way to step up from here is to go higher end micro brands or entry level Swiss- unfortunately my budget won’t allow that!
Good review of the San Martin. I have not looked at San Martin mostly due to it being a Chinese made micro brand. Although, you point out the quality movement and build quality that might rival entry-level Swiss so maybe worth reconsidering. I collect mostly Seiko dive watches both new and vintage. Thanks for your review.
I have the 42mm with the orange dial. It punches why above it's weight. I own several expensive watches and the SN0144 doesn't take a back seat to any of them. Wait for the next Ali-Express sale and pick one up. You won't be disappointed. Cheers!!!
I have a large collection and my own channel. As well as owning many Swiss watches, including a Rolex and a Tudor, I also own several microbrands as well as 3 San Martins. The SN0144 is far better than any Tissot, Certna, or Seiko I have owned. Other than the movement it's up their with many luxury brands. I don't know why you got it in that box, it should be the nicer green cylindrical version
@@watchalot919 I had similar thoughts about the case, since SM had sent me a cheaper watch I purchased in the fancier green pleather box. Case aside, it is a lovely watch for the money. Thanks for watching.
I agree, I didn’t think they had used that box for a couple of years. I purchased this watch in the 42 mm size in blue and it came in the green pleather case.
My son loves watches so I just had to check out your channel. Great episode! Thanks for all the useful info!
@@DeborahGain Thanks for your kind comments

@@AWATCH-4U Thanks for the positive feedback. I have another SM review in the pipeline!

@@philspencelayh5464 Indeed I’m impressed with how well mine came regulated from SanMartin. No complaints with this watch. It’s a keeper for me.

Yeah, it can become an expensive hobby for sure. Thanks for watching.

Great review! Looks like a quality piece for the money
They are!

Great feedback. Thanks.
I was particularly interested in the quality of the bracelet. Sounds like its ok.
Cheers
(I'm tempted. )
The bracelet is excellent
The bracelet on mine is very poor - virtually no articulation, and lots of rough finishing and sharp corners. My first disappointment from San Martin.
Great watch for the price and the movement ..can’t go wrong with the choice ..
There is value here

I absolutely like this watch. I just cannot get passed the logo. It’s big and looks off on this dial.
Agreed. But there are worse offenders out there😂
All youtubers check a watch in one position, like that proves anything.
@@RobertDoan-e1o I’m not a pro RUclipsr, but I just showed it in one position for sake of not making the video too long.
