You are simply awesome! I love your voice, your instructions and the way your love of the craft comes through. I also love your generosity in giving away so much for free on youtube.
It would be a dream come true to be able to come to a retreat of yours. But you will most likely never get close enough for that to happen for me.
You are my favorite. You inspire me and you do magic with your many skills! A big fan!

Boy! Did I need this! I came back to watercolor painting out of love for loose florals. But I’ve been noticing that my flowers are very abstract, and I’m usually not happy with my leaves! Your florals look like flowers, even when you do a loose technique! And here came your tutorial!
The wonderful thing about a practice tute like this, it gives one a break from the pressure of creating a great painting!! It’s just Fun that you learn from. I’m happy with a practice flower I did, using your simple techniques. Thx ever so much Ellen. 🌻

Thank you Ellen love watching you. The last time I posted, I wasn't in a good place, with my painting, every piece of work was hitting the bin, in frustration! However, I seem to have moved on, and without taking too much notice, and relaxing more, I'm now producing some decent work.

My goodness Ellen, you certainly packed in a lot of information for a jet lagged artist. It took me two days to recover from jet lag on my recent vacation from Florida to Colorado. Then I came back to a Hurricane, yikes. We were blessed on our beach. Tampa Bay Area dodged another bullet. Thank you for all the great tips today. Great refresher for a burned out artist who did too much painting before traveling. Had to give away bookmarks though, didn’t I 😂. Blessings to you and everyone!

Ellen, showing the specific movement and pressure for the brush stroke is extremely helpful. Also the comparison of the two types of paper, side by side, is invaluable information for a beginner like me. I have been practicing on cheap WC paper and now, thanks to you, I know how to approach that pad of Arches I have been hanging on to. After watching your videos for the past 9 months, I think I am ready to tackle it!
