As long as you don't buy old Rolls Royces, Ferraris or other cars like that, cars are a TERRIBLE way to invest. Buy a car, drive it, enjoy it, don't lock it in your garage and talk about low miles etc bullcrap.
No doubt and I actually owned one in that time. I got a 1996 honda civic ex coupe for $500 and it just needed some minor repairs. Now you can't touch that without paying over 2k and it's beat to hell and missing parts and usually missing a title. It will have mix matched colors and bad mods also. Was one of the best cars I owned and I honestly didn't want to take it out of stock form because it felt just right in that area.
