Criminally underrated Malcolm. Glint-horn + Malcolm kills the table a high percentage of the time. He's also a blue partner, giving access to the strongest color.
Indeed I made a breeches/malcolm with glinthorn and I'm not gonna say it's super strong but very fun to play and it surprised the table quite a few times!
That coin flip to decide the #1 spot was perfect, well done!

Your Tevesh Szat story is totally wrong btw. He was never a good guy, at least when he became a PW. He convinced Darigaaz to spread Terror and awaken the Ancient Dragons. He joined the Nine Titans just to kill a number of them that he had a personal vendetta with (he managed to kill Daria and Kristina of the Woods, but not Taysir). And he was killed by Urza shortly later for this betrayal (Urza used Szat's spark to power a number of bombs to destroy Phyrexia). His lore in how he became a planeswalker is very interesting though.
Prismatic piper would be way cooler if it had some kind of synergy with the chosen color like giving +1/+1, drawing cards, etc
That would be nice, I think the only downside is the card having a ton of text on it
I think the least they could've done was give it changeling, especially with a few of the tribal partners in this set.

If you want the simple version of Phage/Akroma/Karona, then here it is:
Jeska was a human (and the sister to Kamahl), then died, then came back as Phage.
Akroma was an illusion made by Ixidor (and based on his dead girlfriend (who was killed by Phage)).
During the climax of the "Legions" story, there was a big fight between Phage and Akroma, some old magic was triggered, and they became Karona.
After Karona was killed, she became Jeska again (as a Planeswalker) and traveled around the multiverse with Karn until the Time spiral block.
Yes that’s one of my favorite stories from the lore

actually, Krark discovered that Mirrodin was hollow, not that there was a machine inside.
So i built ah i cant remember the names exactly, but the giant pirate and the gal who taps for red mana equal to the highest power. Combine that with staff of domination and it creates infinite mana, life, and card draw... Its pretty nuts as a big red mana deck

You missed the ball completely on Malcolm he is a cedh viable commander. He combos with Glint-Horn Buccaneer for infinite damage and mana. Enjoying the video though so good job anyways.

I said this as well except a little more questioning why they put him so much lower
I actually found a way to make Gilanra good. I paired her with Tevesh Szat for a Golgari aristocrats deck, and having her as the second commander says any hand with a mana dork almost guarantees turn 3 Tevesh, who also gets me to draw 3 cards by saccing Gilanra. May be a bit specific, but I found good use for her.

Complaining about the D’argo art, and not even mentioning the fact that lobsters are only bright red after being cooked. So not only is this lobster giant, but he also found a way to cook said lobster. SMH

@14:40, what I was thinking about was the Cylons from Battlestar Galactica
I’ve had a good amount of success pairing Alharu with Reyhan. You can keep so much momentum on the board, even when your creatures die. It’s not super competitive but it’s got nice synergy.

Maybe the idea is for nadier is that right when you think you've got him he disappears into the crowd
Also, one of the flavor texts for shock says something along the lines of "I love lightning, it's my best invention since the rock" so the lightning in Toggo's art is a reference to shock, as well as his rocks dealing 2 damage to any target. As for Krark, there was an un-card Krark's other thumb that has flavor text "Krark was the kind of goblin that would lose his thumb and say double or nothing". This set was so good to goblins
The familiars work well with cards like Act of Treason. Kediss applies it's effect to your opponent's commanders while you control them, for example.
I made a Champions of Archery deck that runs cards like that for the same reason. (It also has Kediss in the 99.)

About Nadier: Dude is an assasin. As long as he is around, tokens die and he gets bigger/more powerful. But when he dies theres no killing any more, so people can go out again? I tried my best.

I think Livio (49:50) and Sakashima (59:00) make a good pairing. Sakashima is an extra ETB trigger and Livio can flicker Sakashima to "update" him into the next best creature on your board. Also Sakashima gives you access to blue for Training Grounds and theft cards, so you can steal other people's creatures, clone them, and then send the original into exile with Livio when they try to get it back. The only downside is that you can't flicker Sakashima and all your ETB creatures at once, because clones can't copy stuff that enters the battlefield at the same time as them.
I know this is incredibly tedious and may not be worth it, but it would be so cool if you had a database on your website with all of the commanders ranked
What do you think would be the best partner for Eligeth? I’m really intrigued by her and may make a deck with her

Malcom has a one Card Combo with glint horn buccaneer which makes him very valid in cedh. The pairing with Tana is the strongest Temur Deck available
Kodama + Field of the dead + Bounce Land makes infinite Zombies
Since I saw them revealed I thought about building Krark with Eligeth as Izzet Spellslinger Deck. I'd be calling it the magical christmasland deck since you could for example possibly draw 6 cards from a preordain.Also considering to pair Krark with Sakashima for a similar deck. Casting a ritual with 2 Krarks seems bonkers.
Still not sure which one of those combinations would be more fun.
Any opinions?
I think Sakashima + Krark, on the tiebreaker that you get to cast them more often. Eligeth is a softie at six mana and can die easily

PRISMATIC PIPER IS AN SCP
Isnt prismatic pipers effect useless? The rules for commander say your deck depends on the commanders "color identity". Meaning the colored manasymbols in its text or cost determine the color identity. Note that its not the "color" of a creature that matters, otherwise bosh iron golem would not exist.
Prismatic piper only becomes the "color" pre-game. Meaning it still is colorless identity since it has no colored symbols anywhere. That would make any colored permanent in your deck illegal.

You have toggo ranked lower in power than that crappy owl? I built a Toggo deck and it is really quite strong and there are a number of directions to take it. Dont sleep on these rocks.
Toggo + Kodama alone go infinite out of the command zone with a Gruul Turf.

I don't understand how Malcom is below like five 6+cmc creatures when he's 3cmc, in blue, and a faster combo piece in the zone than the 6cmc mono black assassin that was noted for being a combo piece? Who also had less artwork and coolness rating?
Infinite treasures is very on theme for a pirate.
Glacian is kind of an odd card... I could see him doing something in an Azorious or Esper artifacts build, but his ability is slower than Merchant's Dockhand... And then pitches anything you don't want in the yard, which requires far more building around the graveyard than you might want...

I think Kamahl and Falthis should be... good friends. A pair of commanders that ends up being an 8/8 and a 5/5, neither worth blocking (death touch and trample are very unpleasant), and green gives great ramp, while black guarantees tutoring if you have the budget. That, to me, looks like good clean fun, and could be built super-cheap, you just need a lot of lands and tons of green ramp, which can be cheap if you don't bother with the best. That said, I'm throwing Kamahl into my Multani deck as a back up Trample provider, which I might need for my huge beater. The +3/+3 is just gravy, but it might be a nice boost if I'm down to 1 v 1, when Multani starts looking pretty weak unless I've got some forced draw out. I usually hit 8 in a game when I still have some turns, so it looks better than the Myojin, which plays so-so, and this is 1 cheaper.

Commander legends have made pirates a legitimately powerful tribe. I just made a pirate deck and it's actually pretty damn strong with all of the amazing new pirates.
We went from like 60 to 113 pirates in just one set...so many choices now!
i actually think it's appropriate that he is #2 because he is red, and the gitrog monster is the 2 best colors in commander. I personally believe the tiebreaker should be color rank.

I like how you dealt with the partner-ness problem: giving one extra point to power makes sense.
I would love to see how you rank each partner pairing, but that way madness lies. Instead, you could just talk about the top five Rograkh pairings.
Still, I'd love to see discussion of some partner pairings, particularly the less obvious ones. I want to build Glacian and Rebbec in honor of my wife but I really don't think building with two sub-par commanders (one particularly bad) is a good way to say "I love you."
Speaking of marriage, Alena and Halana are definitely a couple, and definitely not related!

Ok do not quote me on this but I thought you guys would find this interesting, I am NOT SURE on this but Krark may be based on Witold Pilecki who during WW2 stole a birth certificate so he would be placed in a concentration camp to get secrets on the Nazi party and fight from inside the camp. When Witold was rescued from the camp he told his country leaders about the horrors of the camp and they executed him for treason because they didn't believe him. May be a coincidence but thought someone would find it interesting.

Holy cow... did ya'll rank Rograhk's power that low? Rograhk is a cEDH commander. He's likely the strongest partner in the set. cEDHtv made a video about him and several cEDH channels have gameplay videos where you can see him in action.
