I have the MTC - my tabs are also broken - I've found some hard rubber keeps it up off the intake well - side note - the colored intercooler boots look great but under full boost they blow up like balloons. The stock snoot boots are way better. The only way to know that first hand is to see them blow up when the car is doing a dyno run. Also learned that day that the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line coming off of the intake can blow off if it's not new and or zip-tied on. Thanks for the vids

My mate had one where the mount broke off. his was part of the recall and got sent straight out a replacement unit f.o.c and they paid shipping to return the broken one. GP intercooler prices are pretty bizarre, at a price point you can gain more BHP with an aftermarket intercooler, exhaust and manifold for the price of the GP intercooler alone. Still running stock myself with 15%, but it was bathed in acetone to clear out years of crap. Definitely helped.

Hi Edgar, it’s not ‘necessary’ with a 15% pulley (unless you’re thinking of tracking the car) but increasing the intercooler’s core size is beneficial as you have a wider area pulling in cold air. Plus my standard intercooler had seen better days when I bought the car, so I replaced it quickly! 👍🏻

So my car runs at an engine temperature of 90C consistently, it does go up in very slow moving traffic because of the lack of free flowing air, but quickly drops down to its normal operating temperature without issue. Regarding IAT’s, I don’t believe the MTC figure given as its lower than I think is possible but, and this is without data, I have noticed an improvement over the standard Intercooler.
