    Thank you for putting this video on AH/FK together, I have been a Pyrex collector for the last several months and am just getting to learn about FK. I now am the proud owner of tulip nesting splash bowls and looking to acquire more. Super helpful, thanks Victoria!

    Great information even though I don't collect. Have a few pieces of random depression glass that are hand me downs. Do have almost a whole set of the Fire King Forest Green dinnerware, but am planning on donating the set since I don't prefer the color. The bowls are missing.

      I just love learning about the history even if I don't collect them. ALSO I love passing items along or selling them to make room for a new direction in my collection. I call it cycling...making room for new items that I want more. Or I will enjoy collecting something for a few years and then will start collecting other things. I used to collect ceramic panthers but I sold them all. That's just an example. Thank you so much for watching!

    Great video! Jammed packed with information and examples and very well presented. thank you...since you said you like questions, I have a Fire King 409 white loaf pan with gold trim and gold wheat sheaves that looks more like a crown in the center of the base of the dish but no design on the outside. Not the wheat pattern I see on line. Haven't found anything similar to this one. Are you familiar with this?

    Love your videos. Have 2 questions: are there fire kings from japan. I'd assume they're repros. Also, I can't find the soda style glasses (with handles) but see them for sale in pretty colors. It is embossed fire king on the bottom Is this real fire king; would you know about when? THANK YOU

    • @SuperGeeked
      @SuperGeeked  Год назад

      No, the original Fire King was made in the US. But there was a reproduction made in around 2012 that I believe maybe was made in Japan. Would you send me a photo of the glasses to my instagram? I'd be happy to help you identify what you are looking for!

    do you know what colors contain uranium? i have a peach luster, one stamped fire king and another stamped Anchor Hocking. I see the the jade-ite associated with uranium online alot but i dont see much information for the other colors. Thanks for you video !

    • @SuperGeeked
      @SuperGeeked  3 года назад

      This is a great question! Anything made post WWII wouldn't contain uranium. As far as I know, the Anchor Hocking Jade-ite did not contain uranium but there were other companies that made glassware in the same jade color: McKee & Jeanette. In fact, they were the earliest versions of glassware in this color that Anchor Hocking took inspiration from. And they DO contain uranium. I hope this helps a little!!

    I have a 1 qt casserole dish with meadow green (no lid) and the design is off-center. The bottom has all the proper logos and numbers. It says 436 above Anchor Hocking and #21 above Made in USA. It also says USA under 1 qt. Can you tell me if this is a fake or a mistake? Thanks

    • @SuperGeeked
      @SuperGeeked  10 месяцев назад

      I doubt it is a fake. It is probably a misprint. The 436 is the style number of the mold. Yours has the curled under handle style. 21 would be the print. Hope this helps!

  • @donnadjf
    @donnadjf 10 месяцев назад

    I thought it probably wasn't a fake, because I have other pieces. Does it make it worth any more money? And thanks for the previous answer.

    • @SuperGeeked
      @SuperGeeked  10 месяцев назад

      Unfortunately, not really but there are people that like to collect these because they are one offs. So I would for sure list it with words like rare, hard to find, highly collectible, one of a kind, etc.

      Issues from lead absorption do not show up quickly. You can buy a home lead testing kit to check your pieces and your dr can run a test for lead levels.

    • @SuperGeeked

      I wouldn't say rare. However, they aren't common. The reason they are printed that way was so you could read them from looking inside the bowl.
