I saw the C8 for the first time today at my local dealer. It was all black and it looked killer. Pictures do this car no justice. It is absolutely STRIKING in person. The lines, curves and details are amazing in person.
That new red color is awesome! I did not like red before, but that would definitely be the red that I would get and the color that I would get!

I put a 30k down payment for my Z51 C8, and I literally just got an email from Chevy Monday about this new production pushback, and price changes.... I'm still getting the car, but I have to admit I've been quite jealous about the people who had already received their 2020's. As a side note I'm having 22" staggered Forgiato's produced for the car, so I'm not really concerned about the ugly wheel line up that GM has produced.
Do you know when they are producing again??

No, the Z51 package upgrades you to performance summer only tires. They are to help with grip at the track.
I prefer something that enhances the driving and performance experience, although I like reliability and a decent warranty, give it more balls. I'll put anything on the track including my grandma's wheelchair. I have access to a lot of wide open space, so I take advantage of it. Those wheels really take away from the cars looks. Heads-up display, lifting navigation system, magnetic ride control is a must. Hope GM don't overprice themselves out of competition and alienate potential buyers.

I would hope the folks that were In line for a 2020 C8 are price protected for the 2021s they have to order due to GM in breach contract for a 2020 they ordered way back when and now can't have. They have to order from GM shuffled the deck on option prices so you don't have to get Z51 package to order mag ride, and front end lift. So if you kick the extra 1/2 inch rotor sweep up front and drop 10 mph of top speed loss due the drag from the Z51 spoiler you can get a base 1LT, 2LT or 3LT for less then a 2020 Z51 in any trim level with lift and may ride. Then there are the Trident wheels that empty your bank Account and don't do a thing for performance. You can't see them from the drives seat and the standard 2LT C8 Stingray with 490 hp is faster then the more expensive 2LT Z51 with 495 hp that weighs more!

it's coming, GM does a lot of heavy testing on sports cars, meaning good reliability on their engines, better then Ford and Dodge, for dependability

meltz I don’t know that I could to be honest. I mean I have seen people offered 35k over sticker on 3LT z51 cars like mine, and I guess at that price I might but it’s hard to believe people will pay that much.

Yes, unless you've already paid for the car outright. In my case I put a 30k down payment, but these price changes does affect the overall price on my C8.
Just took delivery of base LT3 and wondering why anyone would buy mag ride. The base car already has an almost luxury car ride. Hard to picture it getting much better whereas on Z51 mag ride softens ride so it rides almost as well as base car so what is the point of getting mag ride unless it delivers something other than a better ride.
Mag ride is designed to be unnoticeable so I get where you're coming from. That being said, other companies pay GM for the ability to have mag ride in their track oriented cars, so certainly there is a reason for that.

@@philsalley3278 cool let us know what they say. I agree with you though and there's zero chance I'd pay for that in my car. You can read plenty of opinions about it on the forums from those who've had it and it's quite a polarizing topic. I'm in the camp of, why would I pay so much for an essential imperceptible difference, I'm not a track driver so that argument is out too.

@@aaaaaaxaaaaaa Here is how Corvette Concierge answered the question of how mag ride effects the non Z51 vehicles. It would seem that in reality it will have minimal effect which beggars the question why it is being offered on non Z51 cars. There last sentence is very clarifying.
"We would love to provide some clarification! Magnetic Selective Ride Control helps to read the road and compensate for rough terrain before moving over it. This technology is more geared to assist in tracking but when a vehicle has the stiffer Z51 suspension, it also helps to emulate the soft ride of a luxury vehicle by using that technology. Ultimately, there would be a very subtle difference between the ride feel of the base mid-engine Corvette and one that has MSRC without Z51."

Bro, GM is nickel and diming people and increasing prices by hundreds of dollars. Four and 500 dollar increases on options is not chicken scratch...Also it's downright criminal not to offer the rear video camera on the 1LT coupe due to the egregious and dangerous blind spots in the C8..You have to pay over 7 grand to get the 2 lt to get cameras, WTF.... That $59,900 was really misleading to be honest.
All good stuff for so little money. May I say the C8 is made in China, considering GM has more employees in China then USA. If you think about it, the C8 is a copy of Ferrari 458, Lambo and McLaren combined, that to me sound like a Chinese project, good job GM.
