Every NAMM, Dingwall is a Bass Gear Magazine must-see and always a fan favorite. And he's got a few new tricks up his sleeve! Get inspired at dingwallguitar...
It is an interesting idea. I mean why do any of us even want a 5 string? It's because we want to bring the mountain to the people, and throw in the Thunder. You obviously have a high-end taste and I tip my hat
I asked if they could do a custom 37" 4-string a while back and they kinda gave me the run-around. I really hope this becomes a standard within their lineup. A Combustion model would probably turn into my workhorse bass overnight
I’ve never seen an NG 6 string with a 32 inch C string. Always see 33.25. Is this a new scale option?? It’s at 3:25. Might of just been an error from being SO busy at that amazing but crazy event!
I think that's impossible to describe. But here's a list of the artists who use Dingwall. They have a huge variety of tones! dingwallguitars.com/artists/
Why would he just skip over the super P basses as if we wouldnt want that info? The toughest models to find any videos on. Brand new production line and he just walks past it? Also a little disappointing getting only the 3/4 side view of these basses instead of an unobstructed head-on angle.
Sorry but I hate extended range basses because they cannot be adapted for lefthanded playing, unless your the type of bassist who plays "backwards" like Jimmy Haslip. Most righthanded basses can be adapted for lefthanded playing, but these can't. Yes they have 1 or 2 leftie options, but still............... If anyone can prove me wrong then please do so.
Sorry but if you know they have left handed versions and this solves a pretty huge problem that’s prevalent with lower tuned notes then I don’t understand why you would have such strong feelings against this. Have you tried one??
Love the idea of the 37" B string on a 4 string model.
34''D-37''B is the perfect size
It really played great, too!

i had one on my older Carvin XL 5 string bass!

That custom shop was gorgeous 😍😍😍

Love the D-Rock at 02:25 but why does it reming me of Rafiki from the Lion King
The BEST bass guitars ever created… Do yourself a favor and try one. Magical would be the most accurate way to describe these instruments.
I tried to Frankenstein my Ibanez SR500E to play like a 5 string. B F# B E. But that new 37" scale 4 string has me beat! Bad ass!
Pics of that would be cool to see. Sometime I love a good ol' Frankenbass!
Love the John Taylor model!
Now make a bass for $800au…
Nice work Tom - a killer selection of Dingwall basses this year :-)

How come my closest Dingwall dealer here in CANADA tells me I can't get the D-roc D-bird 5 string in Canada!?!?
Love that Z!

Definitely very balanced, with tight attack but full, natural tone.

That's, sadly a good point

Never even thought of that but yes, that’s a serious bummer. Good point.
