Best boss fight in this game! My favorite part is when Hades taunted Kratos before the fight. With that demonic voice in a dark throne room, it made me feel like I was in a haunted house! A bone chilling part. Then his voice leads to anger and he tries to suck out your soul, then the fight begins! It was so cool!
I agree this and the Poseidon fights were my two personal favorite boss battles

The last part about Kratos killing Hades' wife, Persephone. In a previous game, she somehow kidnapped Helios, free Atlas from the Pits of Tartarus, and used him to destroy the pillar that holds the world. If Hades did not mention that part, I would had 100% agree that Hades's actions are justifiable. I remember somthing that he got possessed by the sin of wrath

This fight scene hits different after you find out what Hades really is like in real Greek Mythology.
He is perhaps the least evil out of all the gods.
He never cheated on his wife Persephone.
He treats Persephone with respect and love.
He’s mostly chill 24/7 in the Underworld and doesn’t seem to lose his temper.
Just because someone’s a king or ruler of death, darkness, hell or anything that’s sounds villainous doesn’t mean they’re always evil.
Edit: Forgot to mention that he actually takes his job seriously which is what Poseidon and Zeus never seem to do because they’re always busy cheating on their wives with any attractive women they see.
He calls his dog Cerberus “Spot” and what kind of Kings of the Underworld gives their pets such a cute name.
He was also the God of minerals and shiney. So they usually offered some kind of Precious stone too him
Which is why I disliked what the percy jackson series did. Made him the same as every other god. He's supposed to be the most devoted man, not some cheating bastard, but they just had to make him do it.

That cutscene at 12:08 onwards has got to be the best God death cutscene in God of War 3. Kratos has literally unleashed hell, seeing Hades' body violent twist and contort as all the spirits of the dead escape as the harpes scream and the spirits screech is just horrifying and awesome. You get the sense that something truly horrifying and cataclysmic is happening. Hades was the coolest boss in the game.

Fighting with Baldur made Kratos hell exhausted. And Baldur is not even close to Thor, Heimdall or Odin in strength and fighting experience. Odin is a literal war chief. And there's no limit to Freya's magical abilities (remember what she did to Baldur) so she'll make things difficult. But anyway Ragnarok is in the focus so they'll die for sure.

The only reason he became the god of war after killing ares was because ares was being an asshole and kratos was rewarded by the other gods for killing him. The souls floating to Hades when he's in the River Styx could mean A. They're attacking him and draining his soul, but unlike the half god Hercules, he can survive it being a full on deity, B. Hades is consuming or absorbing the souls so he can survive the River, or C. He's absorbing all of the souls so that when he dies, they all get released into the world, as a sort of last hurrah.
If it's B, then he may still be alive...

And among all Gods, Hades was pretty temper and chill, he didn't rape anyone (ahem, God with lightning ahem), he had a fair relationship with his wife and had only beaten up two people who really deserved it. You should read mythology on the other Gods, you'll see how better Hades is.

@PerpetratorX Hades was actually the least dickish in Greek mythology. He did his job, didn't cross anyone wrongfully, and oversaw the banishment of the titans in Tartarus. Sure he kidnapped Persephone and married her, but that wasn't frowned upon back then. Persephone even fell in love with him, and the two had the closest thing to a healthy relationship. Look up Overly Sarcastic Productions to see just how Hades was.
