Triple-double aside, this was Cade's best game because he controlled the game (Chauncy-esque). He hit big shots and made big plays every time the Knicks made a run.
I think when Ausar re-enters the starting lineup he will plug that perimeter defensive hole and allow Ivey to conserve some energy to be more assertive on offense. JB working out how to get Ivey and Cade clicking at the same time is the next step in this team’s progression.
@ NO, you never let an asset walk for nothing. You sign them to a reasonable deal, build their value and flip them for assets. Duren’s struggles may diminish his value to sign him to a reasonable contract that he can be flipped easily. Signing him this offseason when his value will be his lowest will be a shrewd move for the Pistons. Ausar is 100% a part of the core future!
Am I halucinating, but does Cade look more athletic? He's up to 235 pounds! Cade is even stronger now! Cade is Mr. Methodical! He is definitely stepping into super-stardom!
As a rookie he was playing on sore shins. As a third year player he was rehabbing from injury. I think we are seeing better athleticism and strength. I've mostly noticed this on defense, as he still moves at a snails pace on offense. But like Luka he finds the tiny crease in the defense and makes more than he misses.
Cade will be better than Brunson, also, because of his God-given size (6'6" to 6'7"). Cade has foot-work like Hakeem. With his added muscle, he's even tougher to deal with in the paint. Reminding me more and more of Luka!
@pheralanpathfinder4897 yeah but not a 2 time champ, the context was he could make Vinnie jealous, that was an insult to that man if I'm not mistaken Vinnie's #15 hangs at little Caesars. He was rock solid.
People, he needs Avg 23 / 10+ / 5rb / 1bk to be a Star, consistency, but he still needs an all-around big man next to him to be that player in all fairness.
@@PPno9 Wow, just checked, almost the numbers I suggested. He just needs another all-aroung big on the court with him, and he and this team will have a promising future.
Cade ain’t no all star. Or all nba player he a decent role player playing in a role too big for him .. he can’t win and is turn over prone and injury prone
Cade has an injury history that looks bad when looking him up. But people following Cade news carefully know that shin issues are a fixable problem. It's not very likely that Cade will have shin splints in the future.

Cade had the type of game on a big stage that was his coming out party for the national media

Do we trade for a stretch center or start Stew?
Ausar and Duren are a bad fit.
I do agree that Ivey is struggling to adjust to his new role
@ Neither. You let things play out with Duren. Ausar is an AMAZING fit on this team. As much as Ivey is struggling I think he figures it out.
@@therockneverstops8261 so we let one of Ausar or Duren leave for nothing as a FA after we decide whom we want to keep?

If he play like this consistently he make the other teammates better lets get a good play position before the all star break

@@pheralanpathfinder4897 Great Points!
They have a rough schedule coming up

Almost Luka is a good comparison on offense. I don't know if he will match Brunson on offense, but his defense is already comparable.
🔥🔥🔥
😊
Vinnie Johnson slow down just a little bit
The comparison isn't terrible. Beasley could be discussed in 6th man of the Year awards this season.
