I remember this. Don't think I heard it since it was out. It's the Blossoms that are pictured here, Darlene Love's group. What a time that was. They haven't made records like this in decades. I do miss the singers, songwriters and musicians that made all the music so great. I hope it returns so that the next generation can experience what we did back in those days.
I would add this to the list of versions of "Spanish Harlem" that knock me out: Ben E. King's original, Aretha's funk/soul workout, and now Augie Moreno's exquisite West-Coast take.
Vintage 1965 - So perfect for the year - This is wonderful - Thanks Much

👍👍👍💗 thank Anthony for the sharing
I played this song over and over in my radioshow. Wish I had those trivia back in the day ... THANKS!
God bless you for this! Another reason to LOVE You Tube!
Beautiful version. Different. Appreciate your sharing & the info 🩷🤗💜
What a great voice!
A very good version of a brilliant song.
Great sounding and first time hearing. Love the instrumentation.
Great cover. The last photo of legendary Gold Star Studio up in smoke was a sad sight.
Nice version of a classic tune. Such a shame Goldstar no longer exists, as the Motown studios still do.
Thanks 🙏 ❤🎉
I had not heard this version, but I've long known and loved the song from Laura Nyro's album Gonna Take a Miracle.
