This is an excellent video. I was going to buy me a chainsaw for the rare use in my yard. So, after watching your video I purchased the Husqvarna 350i that comes with a 7.5 ah battery and charger. This one is an exclusive Lowe’s chainsaw in the package. It was on sale for this Memorial Day weekend for $339 plus tax. I thought it was an excellent purchased. I was going to get the Dewalt 16 or 18 inches, but I don’t want to deal with plastic wall inside. I own many Dewalt tools and I have 5 60v flex batteries. Yeah! I was leaning to Dewalt, but your video clearly shows that I would be better off with the 350i since it suit my needs as good as the Dewalt, but it seems to be of better quality. Thanks

@11:00 You are misunderstanding your batteries. You say the Husky's battery doesn't have the umph of the dewalt. this is incorrect. The dewalt 9.0 flex volt is a 9 amp battery.......when running at 20 volts. at 60 volts its only 3 ah. the total whr of the battery is 180. this is the total power the battery can provide (volts x amps = watts) the husky battery is 40 volts at 5.2 amps for 208 whr. the husky battery has more "umph" which is at least partly why you got more cuts with the husky vs the dewalt. i have the powerworks (greenworks's eurobrand but they sell it on amazon, it used to be branded as snapper) older model 60v brushless chain saw and i have batteries that range from 2 ah to 4 ah, 120 whr to 240 whr. i also have dewalt and ryobi power tool batteries (and the dewalt 20v saw) that range from 1.5 ah to 4 ah (30 whr to 80 whr)

My saws are Husqvarna including my gas pole saw. The Dewalt electric saw did not last long, cutting and trimming trees on my summer home in the mountains.

I know this was a year ago but theres an Allen nut integrated into the bar retention nut on the dewaly which I would assume is to be used.

You edited out the most important part of potential buyers decision in buying one of these saws or not. The actual cutting thru the logs. As a 55yr old Airframe & Powerplant Technician, ex lumberjack & lifelong mechanic I can determine how much torque & speed a saw has by actually listening & watching it cut all the way thru the log. Lot's of good info though, thanks for sharing. You should put a link to that $7.00 DeWalt replacement part you mentioned in this video b/c I might buy one of those 20v DeWalt saws for pruning small branches around the yard.

I agree. And yes, good info. And yes, I'd also be interested in that link! Would be great if someone made a replacement cover in metal. It would take the DeWalt saw the saw to the next level.

I've checked 3 makes of chainsaws from tool makers and was disappointed all are bulky too front or back heavy i will be sticking with my husky electric.

I have the ego 56 volt chainsaw with 16in bar and it's been pretty impressive so far. I do like the battery backpack for the Stihl but the price is a little hard to get around

I'd love to see reviews of the higher end/pro or near pro battery electric trimmers. I have a nice gas Stihl but I'm tired of 2 stroke engines. Thanks!

No electric saw comes close to a 4-6hp 2 stroke pro chainsaw.

i have 60v powerworks trimmer and i'm happy with it. drop the battery in and go. with max power twisted .095 line there isn't anything in my yard it won't blast through. if you have alot fence line and or landscaping you'll need a second battery though.

Those particular battery saws are closer in comparison to the 30cc gas saws. Properly tuned that cs400 will out cut them both.

I have a 535iXP that I bought new and it has bee a TERD since day 1. I can only make a few cuts (always less than 10) and then it flashes the overheat signal and won't work again for 20 mins or so. Does not matter if it's summer or winter. Brought it to a dealer when it was still under warranty and they blamed the battery, not the saw. Took them almost a YEAR to get me a new battery (factory back order) now I am out of the warranty period, and the saw still won't do more than 10 cuts. Friend has one and his works great. Swap his battery for mine and his saw is still good and mine sucks. Husqvarna customer support won't help! They just refer me to a dealer. Dealer won't help because its out of warranty. Bought this new and have literally made less than 100 cuts with it. Total junk and even a "PRO" saw like this is no good and si I wasted a ton of money and Husq won't stand behind their product. Buyer Beware. By the way, I have a lot of other Husq equipment that has done well for me but this was a total waste. First time I splurged on Pro and just got hosed.

@@m998hmmwv7 Proper maintenance is to slack the chain for storage to avoid stretching it, like that chain was on that gas ax.
Whereas the Dewalt's retention mechanism is a common failure point that boils down to bad engineering.
