Wades out into the face of a cat4 hurricane with destruction all around him and saves the reporters. Hero material right there. Station needs to pay all his boat repairs at the very least in gratitude.
I’m Matt. They sent 10000. To Robert. Who is not my captain. My business right next door. He said I deserved 1/3 Because I saved their lives. That’s word for word. Also he never told me to get them. I saw them and acted. So much more to this. Not about compensation. From Oahu, Kailua. Means about respect and principle
I've seen other major news cover this scene showing the boat on top of the SUV. Nice to know the story behind it and the bravery of one man risking his own life to save others 👍
Seriously had been wondering who that car belonged to. Their is 0 chance the other news stations did not know that car belonged to another news agency. Kind of cheeky that they are clearly making fun of him haha.
So sad, but so uplifting!!! I've seen the truck stuck under the "cracker jack" boat all over the national news!!!! Harrowing, is to say the least about your experience covering the hurricane!!! Thx God that you guys were near help!!!
I have always been concerned about the news coverage and the lives being put in danger to cover a storm. Even a bit foolish but these are the stories we all want to view. The good and the tragic. Glad you are all safe now.
God bless those guys for saving you! They are true heros. Our area got it pretty bad too, but now 10 days later, we have elec, water, internet and phone service. Still many with out, though. Lots of work to be done. My prayers go out to all the people who lost their homes and their loved ones. 🙏🙏 So happy you were saved!
No training prepares people for the destruction of nature, the reason animals all leave. Filming on the middle of these catastrophic events encourages people to think they can "ride it out". The deaths/injuries are on the journalists/bosses who do this dangerous reporting.
This man risked his life to save you. Reporting is helpful, but putting yourself at risk is not only dangerous for you. Next time, set up cameras and get out.
Several miracles happened there. Amazing they all survived. Especially the guy who waded into the storm surge without a life jacket . Truly angels were covering them.
So terrifying. I've heard that like 16 inches of storm surge can knock a full grown man down, so the fact that they were able to wade through this and make it to the boat is incredible and no small feat.
I hope this doesn’t sound morbid because I’m very happy these men are alive and I’m very proud of that dude for risking his life for others but I’m happy we finally got the backstory on that car. That boat sitting on that car was the background for most news reports out of Fort Myers Beach.
This is always a sad situation. Rather you leave to live. When you come back your life changes. Landlords have liabilities we all understand. They can at least put them up somewhere safe in exchange their monthly rent. Geez.
There Has To Be A POINT Where “Journalists” Should “KNOW” & Have “Common Sense” To Say “NO! TOO DANGEROUS!” Not Gonna Do It/Film It Etc; That Put Even The Guy Trying To Rescue Them “IN DANGER!” ;-( Just Saying
Bravo!👏 For the hero! Who save the journalist great job and and a big heart. Many, many God's blessings. Glad that everyone is doing well. Thank you Jesus.😂
Hero, but the reporter could have got kill and his hero too😔 this keep happening where reporters risk their life to tell others to be safe. Be save people🙏🏻🕊 We don’t need another reporter dead😢
Fox4News we need your station and journalists to be brave and assertive and videotape all candidate forums coming up, question candidates about their votes on climate legislation, grill them when they have failing voting records on climate! Our lives are at stake. Educate the public about climate and educate the public about these politicians and how they vote!! I went to one candidate forum a few years ago, your station was there but never aired the footage, the public never heard what the candidates said. You should dedicate programming to airing candidate forums hosted by the non partisan League of Voters every year.
What exactly is the gain from journalists standing out in the elements as hurricanes approach? We already know that wind is windy, and water is wet, so not exactly breaking news. Plus, they have a built-in tendency to exaggerate the severity since they need drama.
A news story is certainly not worth your life. Never become the story. Guess they aren't teaching that in "journo school" anymore. Sad. Glad all are safe.
So sick of reporters being absolutely ridiculous just to get a story. These idiots are just like paparazzi ! I have no sympathy for any of them. Then they throw a mic in a victims face and ask how they feel? Really? Their house was just obliterated and you need to ask how they feel? 🙄
You are not real smart to not have a boat and a safe spot . You people think your storm chasers nope .boat should have anchored and alot of rope tide. Better to be over cautious .
These reporters put themselves in harm's way. Luckily you were saved. Stop wasting time and effort to save you. Reckless storm chasing SHOULD be fatal. I'm not pleased with this story

Wow! This was the story of your life! Thank God, for these BRAVE caring men, who saved both of you. 🙏

Ok, I saw the footage of the vehicle under the boat. Glad everyone is alive
HEROES! BLESS YOU ALL 🙏🏼 ♥️
refusing to head shelter in the middl of a cat 4 hurricane makes them a hero? i think it makes them very stupid.
Every hurricane you have weather ppl who think they have to stand out in the middle of the storm to bring us the latest weather report. Ridiculous.
Very brave man. I applaud him for his heroism. He saved those men lives. Glad all of them survived.
God was watching out for you and I'm so grateful that the captain saw you and saved you
or maybe not go out into a Cat4 Hurricane?
God bless these men !!
That is so scary! Thank god those brave men saved your lives. Praying for everyone in fl

As well as those who support such reporting by watching content such as this....like you??
So very happy you're okay. Never ever underestimate mother nature. ✌🇨🇦
God Bless you
So glad you all made it to safe! God bless you all. Stay safe!!
Outstanding!
I always say why are the reporters out there is the storm!
Because people are curious, and we watch the coverage...like you're doing with this video...
Wow , what a story.❤
Quit sending reporters out in active hurricanes. It is stupid.
God Bless You 🙏

They were born to save those people. I am 1000% sure that things like this happen for reasons as well.
Thanks for being brave and saving lives!
True hero, amazing

failing to head shelter in the middle of a Cat 4 isn't a miracle, it's dumb.
Thank you Jesus. Thank you Matt for assisting these men.
No thank you
Great Story Guys
Thank you For Telling It🙏
What an amazing story of heroism and survival. They had their own Noah’s arc .
Wow!!…What a story!…Thanks God for those wonderful souls who saved them!
thank god for the guy who risked his life to save two dumb asses out in the middle of cat4?
Glad yall safe. IF you drop into a hurricane zone, only do so with a native floridian chaperone (guide). I am being serious.
Great report
💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 God sees you
Thank you
The good thing is the COMPANY NEWS give them a new equipment and *"NEW CAR"*
✌✌

"In God We Trust"
The reporters were wrong, being in harms way, i don't get why they would risk their lives. No excuse for this !
I hope you guys learned something. That guy could’ve died for your foolishness.
This is always a sad situation. Rather you leave to live. When you come back your life changes. Landlords have liabilities we all understand. They can at least put them up somewhere safe in exchange their monthly rent. Geez.
TY Lord for the rescue
The last place I would want to be is on that boat I'm glad they made it
God Bless 🙏🙏
Thank God you made it
“We always put safety first” 😂 that’s why we repetitively stand in the middle of an active hurricane/flood/storm
PEOPLE NEED TO STOP THINKING THEY ARE INVINSIBLE.
Oh men It 's your Angel !!!
Matt is a true hero
No I don’t think so. Anyone would’ve done it
Wow, that was close guys... but what was the sea-trek crew doing out there still?
This story seem kind of schetchy
A lot of Floridians won't evacuate and try to at least salvage their property. That boat may be their home, or what they use for their livelihood.

What do we really achieve by having reporters standing in the middle of a hurricane. These guys are just begging for a Darwin Award.
The sea treck enterprise what a ride to rode that storm out on that ship. Shoot dang.
Wow!
there is zero safety taken in consideration on this video lol
Oh my goodness
Thanks god for everyone safety 😱🙏10-14-2022.

Florida will be underwater in 5 to 10 yrs.....NO WAY AM I GONNA MOVE THERE NOW.
Oh wow 😯
Dont really know why you need to report in the storm ?
Cuz people like you and me will watch it...
They should never let 1 Day Go by, without Thanking God for another Day. Yes, it was a miniature 'Ark'

This isn't "covering" news. It's the foolishness of Dan Rather (Carla, 1961) wannabes.
