The fact that you don't just go clean up your own stuff and worry about cleaning up your house and the freedom factory but instead you're actually willing to go out and help people that need help right now that just shows how much of a awesome dude you are and so glad that you're there to help people out.

Big respect for immediately jumping to help others after assessing your damage. That really shows your true character. It does suck about the pole barn and the stacker, but considering what just happened, the stacker does still look pretty good. The biggest thing, though, is that you're all safe and sound, I'm genuinely glad to hear that.
This is why I love guys like Cletus he cares about his community did what he had to do then headed out to help others with what he's got.
So glad to hear everyone is okay, roofs and stuff can be replaced but none of ya'll could be! Stay safe One and All!

Kind surprised they didn’t put that trailer in the MIDDLE of parking lot and even strap it to a few anchor points if they thought it might rollover.
It was probably built to "code" with hurricane straps, etc., but I knew that was coming down as well. Been there, done that, lol.

Hell of a role model man.. I’ve always said that it’s easy to do the right thing and be a good person during good times, but the true measure of a man is how he conducts himself in adversity and how they respond in tough times. Cleetus is truly a good man.

Garrett, I can really appreciate the emotion in this video. It is obvious how much you care for all of your friends, family, and everyone around you. It is pretty rare for you to swear in a video but in this you can tell it is just raw, mostly uncut and real. It shows your true color as a Floridian. Just the fact that you put your personal damage aside to go help your community speaks volumes to you and everyone around you. Sending best wishes to Florida from up in Wisconsin.

As you know by now, Sanibel is toast and Ft Myers is wrecked and there are many dead who did not heed the warning. I'm blessed to live in Jacksonville where Ian is passing as I write this. I am grateful for generators and good folks like you.
Do you have any details on Sanibel damage, I've managed to find video of the Storm Surge at the intersection in front of Jerry's. We used to vacation there every year and one of my sisters took over the time share from my parents so she goes every year, i've got 2 other sisters in Jacksonville like you are, one has been reporting intermittent outages and lost internet but doing fine otherwise.
@@DanielRichards644 I spent vacations there in the old days when it was still pristine. The causeway bridge is destroyed and they are evacuating folks by air and boat. Many homes are destroyed, although we do not know how many died. The sheriff said they are expecting a high death toll all through the Ft. Myers area. All very sad.
@@docdurdin i've been hunting out videos since I first replied, from what I can see from the footage it looks like the bridge segments themselves are Standing but the connecting islands and a significant portion of the road leading to the bridge got wiped out and the sheriff has confirmed 2 deaths on the island, I think Ft. Myers Beach is far worse then Sanibel from the aerials i've found, word has it Mucky Duck might have been washed away in the storm surge but i've not found any video of that area yet and sounds like it could be weeks before we get details on what historic spots survived, they are saying it was far worse then Charlie.

From Cape Coral here! We flooded alot but the water missed our house and buissness by less then a foot. Absolutely a miracle. All the costal towns around us aren't doing great. Glad to see your okay!

As someone that lived in the Caribbean for 15 years, I have to say, you definitely escaped rather well. Thank god the storm stayed mostly south of yall. Hurricanes are no joke. Once you've been through a Cat 5 the sound of that wind is something you can't ever forget. Staying in a basement, the sound is kinda like hearing never ending massive car accidents happening in your living room above you. The worst part is coming out to find your home is completely gone off the map. Glad yall are safe brutha! Nice of you to go offer help to the less fortunate.

As sucky as it is, the good thing is that you guys are okay. At the end of the day, you can replace the stuff that broke. Maybe you can use this as a chance to do a cool exterior design on the skybox and improve it. The carport at the shop can be replaced with a nice aluminum one too. Again, glad to see everyone is okay. Thoughts and prayers to all those who are affected.
I use to live in New Orleans, actually moved 3 weeks before Katrina hit. I had not moved most of my house so lost probably 70% of my stuff so it made moving easier as the storage container floated away somewhere.. I can tell you didn't get much sleep due to the storm and I can relate. The one thing I always tell my kids is when nature hits you hard just remember what we lost was just stuff. Peoples lives are priceless, are stuff not so much.

the open building, toter home trailer, announcer booth, and maybe some of the trees at his home should be covered under business, home, and auto insurance.
