I love that you keep your videos concise and filled with info from start to finish. Some out there are just way too long and chatty for me. Yours are perfect
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! ❤ I can't afford a lazer printer.😢 I've been wanting to put a photo on a hoodie for a long time - a birthday gift for my brother. But I've been unclear about what products and how to do it all. I've had my Cricut for a couple of years but kinda lost motivation, so it's been sitting... I have several garments packed safely away, HOPING to one day figure it all out. I'm so glad I ran across your tutorial this morning! I love your methods of teaching!👌 And I'm also very happy I'm catching the printable vinyl on SALE!!👍 🎉 Thank you so much. I'll be continuing to watch your channel. 😊
I enjoyed your video you got right to the project without alot of taking about stuff we dont care to hear.I hate when they ramble on ,dont get to the point.I usually stop the video and move on.Yours was good and to the point.
I use the Jolee brand printable htv and i like it better just based off of what i see with the cricut brand. Plus u cam get 5, 10, 12, or 18 sheets in the pack.
Always enjoy your videos! You mentioned when you used the light printable iron on the dark shirt it gave a vintage feel and indeed it does look vintage. Question - have you ever tried distressed logos and/or lettering (the distressed type fonts) using the light printable iron on on a dark shirt? I get a lot of requests to make the distressed look but don't want to weed all those tiny pieces using HTV. And at this point I'm not ready to commit to sublimation or screen printing yet. It seems like it would work fine but you are the pro! Thanks
Thanks for the great video Angie. I think this Cricut printable iron-on beats the stuff I used years ago. It felt really horrible and would crack before you could even wash it.
AAAAhhhhhhhhh Thank you loads! I'd missed the part on the instructions that said not to mirror your design. I was mirroring it and wondering why it wasn;t sticking to the T Shirt. Watched your video, and it worked straight after :)
I recently bought the Light fabric one and my son has a black shirt he wants a picture on. I was wondering if you could use standard white HTV for the offset layer and then use the print then cut design from cricut. Would it have the same result as the dark one? It was pretty hard to source just the light printable cricut HTV so i don't know what my luck will be like getting the dark one.😬
I am doing 10 shirts with lots of lettering, how would you suggest I place it on the shirt to keep the right spacing? Individually I am not getting the spacing right and it is taking FOREVER
Thank you for the helpful video. One question: I have a design with lots of thin, short lines and dots. So I need an additional transfer film with which I can first tape off the design and then iron it on. Which film can withstand such high heat and is suitable for ironing together with the new Cricut printable iron-on? Greetings and thanks in advance from Munich/Germany 😃
As stated in the video, Cricut does not recommend a transfer film with this product. I tried one and had issues so I do not either. Simple designs would best.
So wait, I have a yellow and a light pink shirt would I need to use the printable iron on for light fabrics? 🤨 I also bought printable iron for my nieces’ Easter egg hunting bags - will it work on white canvas bags?
Just to confirm, I can use this on cotton fabric, not just polyester? And I have to have the offset showing if I use the one for dark fabric even if I use it on light fabric?
My material is ripping when my Maker 3 is cutting. I have used different mats, different pressures have gone through an entire pack. Has this happened to you? And do you have any tips or tricks?
Hi, do you think i could use this on genuine veg-tan leather? Im making keychains but they want a image on it! I also have a kodak verite 55 inkjet printer. I know definitely not new, bud do you think it would work? Thank you!
I know you said this is for ink jet and not Sublimation, but do you know if it can be used with Eco-Solvent ink? I have only bought Siser Color Print Vinyl to use with it, but I’m wondering if this might be another option.
What's crazy is that Cricut doesn't tell you that the QR code sticker is the back of the dark iron-on. I'm still puzzled why they don't include easy instructions in pack like siser does?
What is the difference between this product and others via Amazon? If it’s just the name Cricut, I will stick with other brands I’ve tested and really like. They come with a lot more than 3 sheets for less price. Cricut is getting nutty with their pricing. IMO of course.
I have an Air 2 and it wont print the image, because of the black corner lines. I've tried covering them with tape but it still doesn't work. Any suggestions?
@@AngieHolden no, I remember seeing a creator say it's an issue with the Cricut 2 in general. She gave suggestions how to get around it but tape was one of them and it didnt work for me.
Has anyone tried using this as an embroidery template? I was thinking about printing the designs/photos I wanted to make jacket patches of for my son's birthday, apply them to the jacket, and then embroider over them?
Hi Angie, I really like your clear teaching style. You include very useful details. I hope you have a sense of humor because I want to tell you the "r" is silent in warsh Sincerely, Terri fom Wa[r]shington. 😊
@AngieHolden I was just teasing you. You do you! I am new to your videos, and I appreciate your clear teaching style. Thank goodness we are not all the same!
@@AngieHolden Thank you. I had to make tee shirts for my sister’s floor in her nursing home for Halloween. I used HTVRont. They may not wash as well as the Cricut product but hopefully they enjoy a couple of wears. You’re so helpful in all your videos. Thanks again.
It sounds like you are not flattening the image correctly. Trying picking EVERYTHING including an image behind your design that is larger than your design and clicking flatten.
So I'm wondering if anyone is having this problem I am. I haven't had any issues using the paper for dark colors. It's only the ones for light fabrics I'm having continuous issues. When printing I don't have issues. It's when I let the product, so far 2 t-shirts, printed with anything black in it. When washed after I let it set for 2 days or more, then wear, or wash, the black will bleed on different areas of the picture. I've seen a couple other colors very very lightly on different spots, but it's always the black. It doesn't spread on the shirt, but just the printed and ironed on picture. Anyone else? Anyone have the slightest clue why only the 1 for light colored fabrics?
@AngieHolden it's mainly with black. I even found others on Google have had it happen and they've said it smears onto the white as did mine. They've suggested using ru bing alcohol and stupid me did very lightly in between areas and it seemed to smear it more. I used the 'I'm a freakin' ray of sunshine' with a unicorn from Creative Fabrica, and the unicorn has specks of black, and the lettering ran a bit. The f in of is faded more than any letter. Again I don't experience this at all with the 1 for dark colors. So I'm baffled.
@AngieHolden that's what I wondered, but it's not doing it on the dark product. I go and put the setting to high quality as suggested. Maybe bad batch of paper or something, but it's the fact that others experience this random issue after the 1st wash using the light product on their shirts.
Have you or anyone else here used this and dried the shirt in the dryer (normal cycle/temp)? Im 100% sure if anyone in my house "helps" with laundry, my shirt is going to end up getting dried lol. Just wondering how this might hold up.
I've used this to make onesies for my grandbaby. My daughter washed and dried the onesie in the dryer once. The vinyl was horrible, cracked, wrinkled, and looked like it was peeling.

How does this compare to Siser EasyColor that also prints on ink jet printer?
I would say similar. I did think this one held up really well and I didn’t have any issues with running which has been an issue with DTV.

Hi Angie, thank you again for all your great tutorials. Can Cricut Printable Iron-On For Light Fabrics be used to make wood for decorations?
Yes you can! The wood grain will show through.

I would use the Dark.
Thank you Angie for this video. Do they have it in A3?
I don't think they do but I could be wrong!
Is light grey and pink consider light or dark fabric. I thought I'd ask before I mess up on the t-shirts trying both light and dark. TIA
I would use the dark on the grey especially. The pink may be okay with light if it is really pale.
Thanks great video. How would this work on a polyester shirt. time a temp. Thanks!
It does work with polyester and time and temp should be the same.
@@AngieHolden Thanks!!
So they only make these in letter size? I wonder what those of us in Australia do when our printers only take A4 sheets.
It may be A4 size in Australia. I am not sure.
Angie, when you say it lasts as long easysubli, did you mean easy colour? I’m asking because I’m about to use easysubli and was hoping it would last..
EasySubli will not last for long because it is technically an HTV.
I'm a new Cricut user. Quick question. Why didn't you mirror the image?
Printable HTV you DO NOT mirror. Regular HTV is mirrored.
Did you use the same protective sheet for the 5 sheet in the package for pressing your design
Yes you do!
Just to confirm, I can use this on cotton fabric, not just polyester? And I have to have the offset showing if I use the one for dark fabric even if I use it on light fabric?
You can use this on any fabric. You don't have to have an offset. That is optional.
Thanks for responding!
Could you wash it at 60C and show the result? In Europe we need to warm wash as there is not enough sun all over the year.
My material is ripping when my Maker 3 is cutting. I have used different mats, different pressures have gone through an entire pack. Has this happened to you? And do you have any tips or tricks?
I would say to clean your blade first. Make sure the material is down REALLY WELL on the mat. Then if that doesn't work, change your blade.
Super helpful! Thank you : )
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you Angie
I'm tempted to buy a machine to make my own
New to cricut. How do you know when to do a mirror on for htv?
When cutting regular HTV you should usually mirror.

@AngieHolden Do you think I would use the dark or light? Than you for responding!
I think I would do the dark.
What happens if we print this with lazer jet I wonder 🤔
I know you said this is for ink jet and not Sublimation, but do you know if it can be used with Eco-Solvent ink? I have only bought Siser Color Print Vinyl to use with it, but I’m wondering if this might be another option.
Just inkjet with this one.
Eco-solvent ink should work fine. I'd definitely test it... they work pretty much in the same way!
What's crazy is that Cricut doesn't tell you that the QR code sticker is the back of the dark iron-on. I'm still puzzled why they don't include easy instructions in pack like siser does?
I think they just want to make it easier to alter the instructions if they need to.
Hi! Can it be used on polyester and spandex blend?
It is NOT very stretchy. It can be used on those types of fabric but won't stretch a ton.
The light fabric...does it need to be white or like beige and not like heather gray
I would say white or very light in color.
THANK YOU FOR THE INFO
So does the garment have to be 100% cotton or poly? Can it be a cotton poly blend?
Can be any blend.
What if it is poly and spandex?
Great information

This will not wash away. They make a product that dissolves in water.

Tried to do this but I can’t weed it properly. I don’t think cricut cut through the paper. Although i used “more” as the cut pressure 😢
Maybe try a different cut setting.
What can you use printable vinyl on ?
Printable vinyl is like a sticker. So it can be used similar to stickers.
Is there anything similar for laser printers?
Cricut does not make a product for laser printers but there are some on the market.
You could always make a paper cut out of the negative spaces of the design to place multiple pieces
Oh yes!
Thank you.
What printer do you use ?
Any inkjet printer will work with this product.
