AFAIK Arisaka makes a very low magnifier mount. As for the rest klayco is on point. I would also add that due to the fact that the gas tube is "replaced" by the one coming with the chassis it can be annoying to put the carrier back in place after a field strip due to the piston needing to line up correctly with said gas tube. You will find a technique after a while, but holy hell it annoyed me the first time i had to do that at the range.

I run a LPVO on mine, bridging the front and rear section. Not a bad set up. Wished they used a steel mounting block instead of the Aluminum since it stripped 2 screws. Currently redesigning mine to make one out of steel or Ti. But mine held zero and gives me 1.6moa 10 shot groups so im happy with it.
Klay, I have seen people use an aero precision scope mount, and put it on backwards so they can attach it to the front end of the pic rail, but still get god eye relief. Maybe that would work.
That rear part of the dust cover rail not being solid is the deal killer for me. I’m not a red dot guy. I prefer lpvos and sometimes prisms. I need the whole rail to hold zero for that because magnified optics will be mounted further to the rear usually.

Great rails but use really high temp loctite and witness mark tbose screw heads. They are very dependant on attention to detail when installing those screws. It'll never be what zenitco was, it is its own animal with its own merits and faults. My biggest problem with it is the difficulty mounting magnified optics due to the two piece rails on the dustcover. I do recommend you get the integrated rear aperture sight for the rear dustcover section, it improves the iron sigjts significantly.

I thought about one of these for my Saiga .308 after seeing Ziga from Polenar Tactical use it. I decided against it when i saw how beefy it is. Im gunna stick with my midwest industires reciever-side mounted scope mount, and decided to get the new Carolina Shooter Supply aluminum m-lok handgaurd. That thing mounts up so solid as well and only weighs 10oz.

I’ve been telling them since that chassis dropped in the US that they need to make a rail that requires the loop to come off. Getting bit by that hot ass sling loop is why I modded an ACR tri rail to work. Now no issues lol
I got a sureshot usa for my Saiga AK 103 and am having some big fitment issues. Sent pictures to sureshot and theyre ignoring the fact the set screws are sticking out so the lower handgaurd wont slide over them and theres an 1/8 inch gap between the mount mount and the top rail where they join togehter

I was very surprised how good the cheese grater dissipates heat. I tried to get a little more purchase and touched the sling loop 🔥😭😂 after a couple 30 round mags she was hawwwt. The cheese grater was fine though. Great video as always

I had the tdi arms rail and zenitco grip on my 74. ... absolutely hated it. The whole thing got so damn hot , even the grip lol chunked that crap off and put a shark fin dong. Its close to bare hand worthy now lol

The only thing I've physically played with a lot was their stock, and I thought it was extremely heavy for what it was. As far as everything else there are a ton of videos on it, they gave it to dozens and dozens of people to review. If I'm honest, I didn't find it super interesting so I didn't purchase a set yet.

Oooo good question... I think the jmac MMS is pretty dang coo, it's very slim and very light. The biggest ding I can give it is it heats up pretty quick. But as far as the new wave of free floated AK rails, I'm kinda like an that 1 the best right now. Zenitco was king back when it was reasonable but no more. The rs regulate Is definitely the best looking in my opinion.
For 700$, I’d rather just find a used WASR or similar and have a whole ass gun. Still waiting to see that supposed JMAC MMS dust cover. Hopefully that’s around the corner soon-ish.

I got the mk3 in OD green and installed it on a 1981 ((11)) polish AKM and it was a pain in the ass to fit but with alot of fitting I was able to get the back dust cover to almost line up perfectly with the front section. I beveled the inside of the 1913 section so the back half would sit lower.
it's only visual anyway, the fact that it lines up or not doesn't change a single thing in the world. Besides racking the bolt will pop it slightly up even if you take the time to file it. Been there done that.

@@2000rayc I tired the mk3 on a tula akm and a circle 11 polish akm and it had to be fitted and still doesn’t fit 100% correct. I think the problem is the main mount, needs some more r&d.

All these products for AKs are super cool and all, but if one needs a modern/tactical 7.62x39, they are better off getting a Galil Ace, CMMG MK-47, or Bren.
well from combat footage and knowing history. you wont pass past 200 yards often. only time LVPOs will be useful is if you are in a open area. but once they start shooting back you wont be able to aim as nicely

If you have a folding Stock it definitely makes it easier. I run a UBR stock on mine so I have to put my stock to side to reinstall bolt carrier.
I wrapped my sling loops in a thin paracord. No more burns. Zero heat transfer.

Just get the 2.1 and put magnifier on an RS regulate rear biased mini mount. My magnifier lines up perfectly with a PA MD 25.

well if its a rifle you would use in a gun fight. no reason not to get it. allows you to put red dot. lights other things you need.
