    AFAIK Arisaka makes a very low magnifier mount.
    As for the rest klayco is on point. I would also add that due to the fact that the gas tube is "replaced" by the one coming with the chassis it can be annoying to put the carrier back in place after a field strip due to the piston needing to line up correctly with said gas tube. You will find a technique after a while, but holy hell it annoyed me the first time i had to do that at the range.

    Great rails but use really high temp loctite and witness mark tbose screw heads. They are very dependant on attention to detail when installing those screws.
    It'll never be what zenitco was, it is its own animal with its own merits and faults.
    My biggest problem with it is the difficulty mounting magnified optics due to the two piece rails on the dustcover. I do recommend you get the integrated rear aperture sight for the rear dustcover section, it improves the iron sigjts significantly.

    I got the mk3 in OD green and installed it on a 1981 ((11)) polish AKM and it was a pain in the ass to fit but with alot of fitting I was able to get the back dust cover to almost line up perfectly with the front section. I beveled the inside of the 1913 section so the back half would sit lower.

    • @worstcasescenarioch
      @worstcasescenarioch Год назад

      it's only visual anyway, the fact that it lines up or not doesn't change a single thing in the world. Besides racking the bolt will pop it slightly up even if you take the time to file it. Been there done that.
