I had my Rx7 color changed on the exterior only, and didn't have the engine bay matched. I reasoned this only because my engine bay was already black, and black goes with anything. Blue with red is a pretty harsh clash. I would recommend, if at all possible, to either spray everything all at once, since you're going through all the effort, or, you can rattlecan the engine bay black down the road when you're ready...Those are the options I'd recommend. Love the series, it's come a long ways!
Thanks, man. I really appreciate the thoughts. The blue on red is definitely not awesome. You have me thinking about whether I might be able to blend it in with some black where the blue meets the red. Ugh. Maybe that's even worse? Red / Black / Blue. I don't know. I keep telling myself that because it's not a show car, and because the blue will be hidden under the hood, it will be fine. But I really don't like the blue/red combo. I'm torn.
@@some-guys-garage the good news is a paintjob under the hood isn't as tough as body panels, it doesn't have to look perfect. You can always tackle it later if you're not happy with it.
