Sean Killian vocal apprach to singing is out of this earth...original to this day....Glad to see Vio-lence back together...
A few days ago me and band covered Kill On Command live. And we are from India, this band deserves the respect like the giants of Bay Area.
Which band is it?
@@miroslavroskanin9672 VIO-LENCE Kings of Thrash!
Perry Strickland...One of my favorite drummers of all time! He deserves high praise!!!
The bass sounds so clear here, great recording
Excellent album Eternal Nightmare
Violence and Voivod, i was at this show right here
Lucky
wow, u lucky !!! we had some badass bands back in the day . . .
Damn. My two favorite "V" bands. Oh and DLR era Van Halen who I cut my teeth on as a kid. I never saw Vio-lence live but did see Voivod once in the 80s. Maybe soon?
@@damoneubanks9075 If you went and saw Vio-lence back then you would have had to worry about those teeth of yours. They lived up to their name
I love this band. Rob and Phil are one of the all-time bst guitar tag-teams, Strickland kills it on drums, and Killian GETS IT on vocals! GREAT thrash band! :D
DON'T LET THIS VIDEO DIE
This is the most important record of 80's thrash metal. A piece of art.
uh okay
WHAT a band !!!
This is old school , thrash at its best.stood the chest of time ,im 50 now and still play it loud.
its so great to hear the vocals just as if not more consistent and aggressive than the studio recording
80-90s best time for metal.
Saw 'em twice in D.C. during the "Eternal Nightmare" tour. Killer live band! Haven't seen a band that matched their intensity since.
Saw them on that tour and oppressing the masses tour, in DC at the old 9:30 club, great band and great place to see them.
I was at one of the 930 Club shows, where the half the crowd was stagediving and the other half was catching, until it would collapse and start again. Fantastic show.
One of the best bay area thrash in 80's and as always one of my playlist until now.
No, they were the best...
I can't even begin to explain how fuckin heavy this band is!!the riffs on there first album would leave you wet spots on your pants!
Oh I've wet myself multiple times while listening to this album. The right way.
Couldn't agree more. Best fucking thrash band ever.
I loved the stone!! Great place to play and see shows!! I was at this show!! The pit was mean!! Violence killed it as always!!
Badass album, this. Still have on vinyl (cassette wore out). Sean Killian is a great frontman. Always sings to the audience.
Never gets old
This is one of the "greatest" total mayhems on earth!!!
It's really hard to find videos of early Vio-lence... Thank you very much...
Man, the bay area music scene was so good back then. Vio-lence, Sacrilege b.c., etc
The BEST of all time in that genre.
Very, very talented individuals, was the peak of thrash metal!!!!!
vocals are so damn awesome, really one of the best thrash bands ever. cheers!
look how close the crowd is to the stage! back when a time when you could easily get on stage and stagedive! THRASH METAL AT ITS FINEST HERE!
The Stone's security would have kicked your ass for stage diving back then. They were assholes.
M
ountain View Theater always let us stage dive back then shit we would do back flips off the stage security didn't care!!
Local spots here on the island had biker groups as security,,
What did People know back then,,
Life today is a complete joke all, around,,
@@mountaindew7190 👍Yup, I remember that they would let us right up on the stage, but would throw you out the second you even tried getting up on it.
@@theellusivefurs5568 hell yeah. I have an incredible video on VHS of the crowd going wild at Mountain View theatre. Testament show from 87 or 88.
The breakdowns on this album are unmatched.....such great thrash...

I was at this show with Joey Huston and Eric Nicolas. I loved being a part of the CREW OF DEATH!
🔥VIO-LENCE🔥🤘👹🤘🔥🔥🔥
Incredible video recording, we can see all the energy and attitude that this Thrash Metal glory had had in those years ...
THRASH TILL' DEATH!!!!
Greetings from Chile!
Cheers!
The drumming is beyond god like here and on the albums. I'm surprised it was this fucking good live.
Machine head may be in but Vio-lence is where it's at brothers.
Deans bass tone is off the chain badass! Sean sounds incredible...the whole band was on fire!
So many memories and sooooo many shows at the Stone.
+ReverenXero so where exactly was the stone located
I lift and crush some brews to vio-lence though I'm 23 and never seen vio-lence live these dudes are enough motivation as I'll ever need \;;/
eternal nightmare
Chris B good plan
can't jump off a bridge cuz I'll miss the next slayer show
Love theze guyz!! Vocalist fits this insane music perfectly!! Saw them in Denver in 88', never forgot them!!
Sean always had that snotty punk sound to his vox. All hail Vio-lence!
My fave bay area thrash band!!!
The Best Vio-Lence...!!!!
My opinion, the best thrash metal band EVER!!!
Everytime I finish listening to vio-lence, (especially the live disc), I have to fucking pry my jaw from the floor.
ESTAMOS EN AGOSTO DEL 2022, HAN PASADO MAS DE 30 AÑOS Y PENSAR QUE VIO-LENCE SE PRESENTARÁ EN SANTIAGO DE CHILE EN 6 DIAS MAS... MOSH CALLEJERO
Thank you for this post
I saw Vio-Lence & VoivoD, in Chicago... same night, it was biblical! 🙌😎
love this album...so good...so different at the time!
Great gigs at the Stone back then, yeah
Vio-Lence Rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Was very fortunate to see them a few times. I was Active duty at NAS Moffett Field. Some of the best shows were at the Omni in Oakland. Sound was amazing and a huge floor to pit.
Hells yes. I saw them with death angel and testament in 88 89? They were on fire. Great show.l
Thank you for this upload.
I LOVE YOU FOR POSTING THIS!!!!!!
excellent thank you
If this is the show I'm thinking of, they opened for Death Angel. Testament was supposed to play in between Vio-lence and Death Angel and backed out- so Death Angel played for extra long time- playing the song "The Ultra Violence" 3 TIMES to the delight of us all.
Wow, this is awesome!!!
The old Stone on Broadway. Saw a lot of shows there back in the day!!!
Dell's one hell of a bassist.
I can't say for sure that I was at this specific concert but I saw them a bunch of times at both the Stone in SF and the Omni in Oakland.
Great frontman!!
Seans vocal style is unmatched.
Violence at the Stone! That was a awesome time. These guys kinda revived thrash for me then. I know now it seems like thrash is just starting but back then it seemed like it had been around for a while and so many bands were doing it just ok and these guys rocked it. Even got to play with them at the Stone and Phil is a cool dude.
I was at this show. Used to hang out with sadus, testament & autopsy. Saw hella shows at the stone. Nuclear assault, dark angel, venom, others I can’t remember at the moment. We were pretty loaded at these things. Omni in Berkeley was popular at the time too.
Thanks for posting it up!
My pleasure!
Vio-lence always had the most sickest, brutal pits. They truly lived up to their name.
Me and my best friend saw them at The Stone when Oppressing the Masses came out.The pit and atmosphere was nuts, enter at your own risk.
awesome video i seen them in chicago when opressing the mass's came out
Robert wright they rehearsed in my high school in Palo Alto
I saw them, in DC at the old 930 club, on this tour also, was amazing, and got a guitar pick..
VIO-LENCE. all new studio albums coming soon
and sean is killing it here! voice is killer! get this band back together!
Holy shit this is gold.
Woooow esto es lo que significa patear traseros, increible esa energia de vio-lence
MY FUCKING GOD THIS BAND NEEDS TO REUNITE!!! I CANT DIE HAPPILY TILL I MEET THE SERIAL KILLER LIVE!!!
Awesome beyond belief. Real Bay Area Thrash.
que energia vio-lence
💯
FUUUUUUUUCKIN' PERFECT
ROB FKN FLYNN IS THE MAN AND DONT EVER FORGET IT!!!
HHNNNGH T_T WHYY WAS I BORN IN THE 90S
Hi Enigma! How have you
mmmm, brings fond memories of sweat, blood and beer. Not necessarrily in that order, crazy fucking shit this band! love it. still have the demo and shirt too i bought from a German girl way back when tradintapes
I hope they make it to Europe soon.
I miss it T^T
Was in pit
Best ever
I'm looking for a thrash bassist, drummer, and guitarist. Bay Area CA. I'm 13
dude wait until high school. I literally met the drummer and bassist the first day of freshman year.
@Punk n Thrash are you still looking for band mates? I’m a guitarist.
And a metal legend was born
Perry Strickland is rippin that set up! I never understood why he doesnt get the recognition he deserves.
Listen to the drums on Oppressing the Masses...its easily one of the best thrash drum feats of all time.
concert sounds good
2:57 that walk and the music in the background :D
Was this Vio-lence opening for Exodus? If so this was my first Vio-lence show. I had never heard them and was blown away. I also remember Metallica showing up with Jason newsted. Furor, Mordred, Vio-lence and Exodus.
Welcome to... VIO-LENCE
Welcome to... VIO-LENCE
Welcome to... VIO-LENCE
A TRUE PRIVILIDGE TO HEAR FROM A FUCKING METAL GOD
I use to go to the stone all the time in the 80s. Now it's just an effing strip joint.
Fuck yeah !!!
I was at this show
Used to go to The Stone all the time
After Metallica moved on up
The Thrash bands just got better and better and better.....
The local scene was so killer
\m/ Centennial Hall \m/
Those that were there know
Don't forget, Phil Demmel is now also in Machine Head!!! I will always like Vio-Lence better, but MH is not THAT gay!!! Plus Robb Flynn and Phil Demmel were always cool to me when I was part of the Bay Area Metal scene and drumming for Possessed and Thanatopsis who both played shows with Vio-lence and Machine Head, after Flynn quit.
The Monster oF Bass
Other than Deeds of Flesh - Inbreeding the Anthropophagi, Violence - Eternal Nightmare is still 1 of my favorite Death Metal Albums
@Diego yes I am on Drugs. I'm listening to Slam Brutal Death Metal album Violence - Eternal Nightmare . It's Death Metal because of the bizarre Vocals. What an unorthodox untrained all over the place Singer . If the Vocals suck it is Death Metal
@Diego you want trouble pal ?
@Diego Killian couldn't carry a tune to save his boyfriend's life .
@Diego anytime a Metal band features a Vocalist that cannot sing it automatically becomes Death Metal, because anyone can grunt like an Ape, or bark like a dog . Forbidden had a real Vocalist, I have no idea what Killian was doing with his Voice, but he sure the hell wasn't singing
@@godetonter4764He wrote all the lyrics too so not really an ape. He was the brains and voice of the band. Personally I love his vocals. They are distinctive and give the band an edge over most. The fact you don't get him doesn't matter. Many do! He's a signed artist with product out and that's all that counts.
Leyends!
HE WHO DOUBTS VIOLENCE SHALL DIE!
damn always fun to watch Perry shred away on the kit
in 1987 this value would've been $100 on vhs, black market..thats how hot sick this was then
damn they sound just like the album
killer live
@mark69dagger I'm pretty sure Phil Demmel is in this video too.
Mommmmmmmmmmy
It's an easter egg on the "Blood and dirt" documentary DVD
Thanks, it's sad to see all these historical landmarks going away. Yesterday I was speaking with a friend from Fagersta, Sweden and we were talking about the reputation of the town during the 90's. It had this venue called Rockborgen where bands like Morbid Angel and Forbidden used to preform. Nowadays it's closed because of government legislations.
Hey wanna be friends?
