This is SO HELPFUL, THANK YOU! I've always wondered how people did these...! You make it look so easy, and the clipped shadow is so much less overwhelming than the thought of doing it manually!
Taty, this is by far the best Procreate tutorial online. I'm seriously impressed. It's over 2 years old but I"ve only discovered Procreate last month - yes, I have been living in a cave! So I decided to follow along with a different reference image. It turned out to be much harder than it looks when you do it. But I've been persevering. But today I made a huge blunder: I started painting the image on the reference (line drawing) layer!!!! I only realised after 3 hours of painting! 😭Is there any way to remove the line drawing from the painted triangles? I've made a copy of the layer, so I have 2 layers with line and paint. The lines are all in black. Is there any way to select all black, and delete all the lines in one go? Please HELP!!!! 🤯😱😫
OMG..you are such a godsend! Thank you so much ! I think of something and whether it could be done on procreate and then bingo! The giraffe one was so awesome, but I don’t have the guts to try it out yet…thanks again..u r beyond awesome!
I am always só pleased with the outcome after completing one of your tutorials! Thank you very much for the time and your effort you put into these videos. I love all your tutorials! You are such a talented artist👏🏻
Hey, was busy driving around Interlagos track to respond any quicker today Tatiana lol sorry. But this design is spectacular, the geometric polygon look is very nice on the eyes, would lend itself well to a tattoo if anyone loves deers! 🦌 - Thanks once again for a superb tutorial that shows us new skills we can apply to our own doodles!
I wish this method worked better for me. I adjusted the recoloring threshold every time as close as it would go without filling in additional triangles, but unfortunately my drawing had tons gaps everywhere after deleting the lines. Gaussian blur had to be set to 10% before it came close to filling them, which obviously made the drawing very blurred. So I had to re-line the whole drawing in color with pixel brushes instead. 😩 Next time I’ll probably just make all the triangles with the shape tool 😅
Hey. The outlines were on another layer that was used as reference (you can set this feature in the layer menu). And layer with colors was located above. When you drop the color inside a triangle you can slide your pencil to the right to adjust the colordrop threshold and it will fill bigger areas, this way covering the outlines
Try these things: 1) make sure there are no gaps in the outlines, 2) you can duplicate the layer with the outlines and merge two layers, then set it as reference, 3) when dropping the color inside a triangle, slide your pencil to the left without lifting it up from the canvas
Thank you for the comment 😊 I understand what you mean. The thing is that deer’s head is not 100% symmetrical on the photo that I trace, and if I use symmetry tool, on the opposite side the lines won’t match with the photo. I also make shorts and Instagram reels from this video and it just wouldn’t look nice in the videos. That’s why I did it that way 😊 But of course you can use symmetry if you like

Sorry to hear that. Did you try it again? I'm sure you'll nail it!
I had same problem trying to color filling a single triangle …and then it filled the entire draw! 😢 I redraw it again and same thing! 😮
How did the black outlines disappear after filling colour?? It doesnt get removed for me though

hola ! hay alguna forma de ver subtítulos en español ?
The color filling the whole canvas when i try to fill the horns even after i set up reference layer. What to do?

@@Tatyworks thank you so much it worked
The outlines didn’t download for me amazing tutorial
Thanks Tracy! Did you get to download the files?
@@Tatyworks I got everything but the outlines all I kept getting was a blank download
А можно скинуть референс оленя ? Я искал не могу найти. Хочу повторить. Спасибо
Фото оленя и палитру можно скачать по ссылке. Чтобы получить файлы бесплатно, нужно ввести ноль. gum.co/polydeer
@@Tatyworks спасибо )
Couldn't you have just turned on the symmetry guide that way it was drawing on both sides so you don't have to copy and flip the image?
