It’s the way he spins the pencil for me. 💯
Seriously...one of the most fun and superb videos in all of my screenprinting arsenal! Just showing how easy using the Apple pencil and Ipad can be is inspiring! It seems you use it a lot and have your settings so the pen really looks like a drawing pen. Would you share some tips on getting the pen to feel as it looked to us the viewers?! This was so great! Looking forward to more well done videos like this--thank you!
Hey thanks so much! It was fun to make! Also for the Brush I was using was one from my everyday brush pack on Ryonets website. its a free download, check it out!

@@GoldenPressStudio downloading now! Onto practice with the iPad! Thanks again :)
@@heatherjennings145 Awesome! have fun!
Fuck yeah 🤘🏼
What brush did you use tracing the skull?
You sir have just inspired me much more than I already was. Thank you great video awesome design!! You also finished selling me in procreate to do my t shirt designs
That is awesome!
wow this guy knows his stuff!
Great video as always. Your guides have really helped me, thanks a lot! I learned a lot from your video of designing the card and image tracing it in illustrator to vectorize it. I was wondering how you would do an image like this that uses white? I know you checked ignore white in the image trace menu when you did the card, but you can't ignore white here, correct? Again, your vids are awesome, keep it up, you are really providing great content out here.
Thanks man! So I would just invert the color of the design when I before I take it to illustrator. So the background would be white and the design black.
Nice, thanks for the response. I'll go give that a shot.
might be a dumb question (from someone who is just starting using procreate like me), but if you pull out some pictures from google, and just trace it, will you be subjected to copyright?
We are not lawyers so we can’t give any legal advice on copyright. What I will say is that I think it is important to make art your own! There is nothing wrong with getting inspiration from someone else but make it your own!
Damn. Simple ideas but nevertheless a sick ass piece! I’m most def gon try out these techniques
Do everyone a favour bro and talk a little less
or you could just hit the mute button...
Really enjoyed this. Great stuff
thanks big dog!
@@GoldenPressStudio Keep it coming!
How I make shirts from Procreate designs: I make the design, save it too a folder, buy a customisable shirt and ask them too print the design on, its easy and normally pretty cheap! (I haven’t watched the vid so don’t come at me if he says too do that-) edit: wrong vid xd, you can still use the “tutorial” though.
Yea, that’s not at all what this video is about.
@@GoldenPressStudio I’m aware. It’s the wrong video lol
That music got rapping in the middle of the edits
Can you pleeeaaase please do a tutorial on how to put the logo onto a shirt in procreate to see what it would look like
Amazing video! thanks for all the info, as a starting small business owner this helped alott and made things so much easier, especially the mock up idea. Your a god!
Glad it helped!
How do you get rid of the backround? I recently made a logo/t-shirt design for someone in Procreate. I turned off the background so only the shape, a dog holding so ething in its mouth, would be visible. But when I sent it to the client as a pdf, it showed up with to background turned back on.
You want to export the file as a .png. That will give you the transparent background you're looking for.
@@GoldenPressStudio thanks.
I wanted to see the end product. Like that kind of file to use, kind of color settinf. The technical stuff. Cool video otherwise
Wow! subscribed!!
I want to make my OWN designs and slogan for t shirts, is this the best way? Before I invest in an ipad.
Hand drawing on an IPad is Cory’s preferred process but the “best” way is very subjective. You’re gonna have to do your own research to see what is going to be “best” for you.
@@GoldenPressStudio I meant like by using an ipad but I already got one ty!
this was super helpful!! thank you for sharing your knowledge!
I just got my first commision. I need to make a t-shirt design for someone else his business. Do i just make the design, and send the file to him? Or do i have to do more things after completing it, before i send it to him? Anybody got experience with this?
For screen printing you want to make sure you deliver vectored artwork. As far as delivering we always take full payment before we start working on a project. NEVER send artwork without payment.
@@GoldenPressStudio i can just take the file from procreate. Take it into illustrator and turn it into a vectored file right? And yes, first recieving the payment otherwise they might take the work and you get nothing🙈
I think this would be a good video to watch to get you ready for designing for screenprinting. ruclips.net/video/-PBTivLnhEw/видео.html
Ok How did you remove the background in the screenshots of the t-shirts??? Great video!
Hey Tamara,
Thanks for watching!! We actually covered that in another video. Here is the link for you!
ruclips.net/video/BLSmAdyr-Rc/видео.html
Hello. Great tutorial but just a couple of questions, when you're exporting the file, what format do you save in and do you use RGB or CMYK? Also do you know any good printing companies that will print your design from a Procreate file? Thank you and keep up the good work.
You can just export it as a .psd and most print shops can work with that. and I work in RGB
Sick! from start to final cad on ipad!! dope subbed.
Appreciate it!!
Fantastic video!! It’s really helpful for me
Glad it was helpful!
Question: So after you get your design the way you want. How do you export it to upload it to a t-shirt printer , so it's just your image with no excess background? Then you can place it on any color product?
you could just export it as a .psd file and that could get the job done.
This is a little late, but you can also hit the check next to Background color to remove the background, then export the image as a PNG file and it should have a transparent background.
What about ipad? Which would be the best to invest in? I currently am looking at the ipad (329) for affordability but I want to know if there is any real difference between that and the ipad pro.
I would highly recommend any generation of the iPad Pro so you can use an apple pencil with it. without the Apple Pencil procreate is not really useful.
Man this is amazing but I was wondering what your brush is?
What’s the brush you use for the outlines?? Cheers man!
It's in our free Everyday Brush Pack. You can find it on the website.
Yep. Already found and downloaded. Works a treat!!
wow! very impressed, finally some body with honor and no stilling any image from the google or IA, Thank you Sir.
Thanks for watching!
Yooo that skull was my grandma pay some respect
Nothin but Respect!
@@GoldenPressStudio lol
Hey what brush did you use?
I used the Tapered Black brush from my free brush pack.
www.screenprinting.com/collections/screen-printing-art/products/golden-press-studio-everyday-brush-pack-for-procreate-download-only
So I can’t afford an apple pen but I do have a digital pencil by a different brand. I’ve been using it to play around on Procreate. Will this work or does it have to be an apple pen for it to look good?
I'm not sure. I have only used an apple pencil.
Question I already make my design it took me for ever to finish how I can resize my design already done please I need help
if you hit the selection tool on the top left of your screen you can use that to resize it.
I really enjoyed this video great job .......l excuse me for now I’m going the others
Please do!
Which brush did you use to trace?
This guy 😂 nice tutorial
Do you have to add a white background to print on black shirt for dtf on procreate
We don't do DTF but yea you will most likely need an underbase on a dark garment
Thank you for this video. Truly inspiring
You are so welcome!
Can you download pictures from Google or screenshot them and edit them on an iPad?
I'm an android person but I have a to edit a lot of pictures and designs and I'm considering getting an iPad. Specially for decals
Yea you can do those things on an iPad
How to actually put the logo on the mock-up. It’s sped up at the end so I can’t keep up
Place the design layer on top of the blank shirt layer.
Duuuuuude!! Question!!! Can I take my procreate.pdf and print that onto transparency?
You can, but it won't be a vector image. We always take artwork into Illustrator and vectorize artwork before we print onto a transparency.
What brush did u use?
Brushes are linked in the description!
This is awesome! I love drawing but had no idea how to digitize my art. Can Procreate export the art so that it doesn’t lose resolution when printed as posters or art prints?
No, it doesn't lose resolution when exporting. I've printed plenty of my designs and they turned out great!
I need help onto making the mock up and can’t seem to figure it out .
I just import a screenshot of the shirt and then place the design overtop of the shirt image.
cool video the design looks awesome great job
thank you so much!
Dude how do you do that pencil spin? 9.04
you put the pencil between your thumb, index, and middle finger. Apply a little bit of pressure on the index and then release that finger to allow it to sling-shot around your thumb.
Bro has major Middleditch vibes and I’m all about it. Also, artwork was dope
LOL!!! Love it! Thanks man we appreciate it!!
Dope vid, makes want to create SO MANY designs for apparel that I could wear! Quick question tough, for the color profile would it not have to be CMYK for prints?
Thanks so much. It is not required to work in CMYK. Our designer prefers to work in RGB.
Can procreate be used to print designs onto heat press transfer paper/vinyl??
We put out a video to that recently. ruclips.net/video/yqfdTNawB84/видео.html
What’s the Arab knife. Btw u just inspired me
I got it from my grandfather but I don't know the back story on it. And that's awesome!
what brush size you use? 45? whats the best brush size that translates well to the screenprint on the tshirt?
it really depends on the design. I don't really have any set sizes.
Can you screen print designs made in pro create?
Absolutely you can! We do every day. Check this video out: ruclips.net/video/yqfdTNawB84/видео.html
Perfect! Can I just upload the photo from Procreate into illustrator and just save it as SVG ? I would need to trace it then save it as vector?
yeah. just image trace it and you will be good to go
Thank you for this!
Glad it was helpful!
Well you're a breath of fresh air, super happy to subscribe ! :)
Thanks so much! That’s really appreciated!!!
How can i print a logo I made in procreate for a T-shirt ( for like I can heat press it )
We get asked about Printing out of Procreate a lot. We are dropping a video tomorrow addressing that very topic! Be sure to check it out!!
@@GoldenPressStudio ok thank you 💯💯
do you know how to transfer the drawing to an actual t shirt by any chance ?
Sure! We specialize in screen printing in our studio but there are several options for getting artwork on a t-shirt.
Awesome, thank you!

Awesome thanks for sharing! Finally found a video I was looking for. I’m wanting to create my own designs and have them sent to be made for a screen printing transfer. How do you save the image and send out? I’m brand new to all of this

Fantastic video! Appreciate you sharing the tips
Glad it was helpful!
Are you use CMYK?
We always design in the format we will be printing in. If we are printing RGB then we design in RGB. Same goes with CMYK.
Dope
Thank you for this man. This is pure gold.
So glad you enjoyed it!!!
After you finish the design how would you go about printing out the film for it to be screen printed
I would pull it into illustrator on my computer and then image trace it. We did a video in the past on this. It's the one with the playing card design
ruclips.net/video/YtX7ewtwppM/видео.html
