I have an 2006 Buick rendezvous, my keyfob stopped working, no one could pair it with the vehicle. Sometimes it would pair, then unpair after one day, the dealership couldn’t even get it done. The keyfob I thought was the ONLY WAY to open the trunk, I have searched extensively these past 6 months to find a way to manually open the trunk and get my keyfob paired, no luck, UNTIL I FOUND THIS! THAAANNKKKK YOUUUUU SOOOO MUCH!!!!!
I felt like such a restart after watching this video. I screwed around and screwed around with my daughter's Vous, checked fuses etc. Got pissed, told her to junk it buy something new. Lol but then i came across this gem of a video. Viola, fixed! 😊

Thank you for sharing this because I've been trying to figure this out and been thinking why is this the only vehicle that doesn't have a button inside to push for it to open and I need to change my bulbs and can't get it open to do it so I'm going to go check mine out right now and I really hope I can get it open I'll come back and let you know if I got it
Glad it helped. I've been told to check the fuse which I had done. One person told me that the contact where the fuse plugs in was oxidized so it wasn't getting a good contact. You can see if that works too. I no longer have this vehicle to test that. Good luck
Hey just to help if this would. My gate was stuck and i tried everything even my fuse was good. So u just pull out the fuse and count to 20 and put it back in and wow i work perfectly fine. I believe dusting issue was the problem
I did this on my 07 and I got it open okay, but now it won't close. Any suggestions? I sprayed it with WD-40 and manually moved the mechanism several times with a screwdriver but every time I try to close it it sounds like it is hitting something and it doesn't latch.

There’s a touchpad on 2004 Rendevous? Not on mine. Mine has latch you pull up on on the hatch.

I have notice the button freezes when the temperature is too cold
I did this to change lights out but now my hatch will not shut all the way any suggestions!!?
I'm not sure about that. Perhaps the latch is stuck. You can try putting the screwdriver back in and see if the lever is stuck. Good luck
