    Had already s24+ in basket on Samsung shop app but decided to check out some videos and found this. After this i wached more reviews and to be honest i had mixed feelings about exynos cpu. Battery drain didn't bother me that much, it was problem with the reception. Started to dig deeper and eventually found that a lots of people complain about having a bad signal and thats something what cant be sorted with updates as its a hardware issue. Decided to get SD version via wonda mobile and that would set me back £743.
    Was a bit skeptical about warranty situation so i had a final look on amazon and found s24 ultra on offer for £780 which was no-brainer and i purchased one. It had SD cpu and nicer screen. I know its big but rather this then s24+ with exynos. People say its heavey and i dont know what they are taking about as weight difference between s24 ultra and iPhone 15 promax is minimal and to me iPhone isnt a heavy phone. Anyway thank you for the real life s24+ exynos reviews, they were a main factor why i didnt get it and went for SD s24 ultra

      I wrote exactly this on another page. I got my S24 plus yesterday and hate the speaker quality. It sounds muffled. Why on earth would they put a tiny slit there? It should be bigger to let more volume out. It's no bigger than the charging port. It's also overheating with minimal usage and the colours are washed out. Many customers have been returning theirs because of the poor colour gamut. Older versions like the S10 look much better. There is a video on RUclips regarding this colour issue. You can try yourself. Try changing display from vibrant to normal and vice versa and see if you can detect a change. Think I'm returning mine Monday as I don't see any updates resolving this.

  • @jmydy
    @jmydy 10 месяцев назад +3

    8:39 this looks just bad, nothing is really in focus here and edges of snowberries look just wrong (it's not a bokeh effect despite in background we do have bokeh). I would say it's one of those rare examples on RUclips showing how defective camera affects photos. Pay attention to tiny leaf-like thing in the middle of the fruit (calyx) - it's under milky overlay. One can say it looks "artistic", but it's just degradation of quality. Visible, because we have contrast on those parts (white/creamy fruit vs dark brown calyx). You encounter exactly same problem when taking photos of documents, text - it's blurry. And in case of document photos, it doesn't look "artistic" any longer, it's just making text to be not readable on some areas of the picture (only focused areas stays sharp, but some other parts of picture - do not). If you want to know more about this, look for issue named "banana-gate", it's something Samsung didn't fix on S23/S23+ (Ultra models do not have this problem) and apparently it's now on S24/S24+. I would like to see more photos taken by this unit, but I'm pretty sure we're talking about banana-gate here.

Many people are sending them back because of this colour issue. You can try changing vibrant to normal and see for yourself. There is a video on RUclips. All the S24 models apparently are having this issue. Personally I'm really concerned about the exynos chip as my phone does get hot through minimal use. It heavily depends on the deal. I upgrade every 2 - 4 years, mostly because of updates. My wife gets the old one. Usually she doesn't even want to upgrade and is still using my old S9+ and the only reason why she wants my 22 Ultra are the cameras. I have the S24+ now and it performs like the S22U and the overall experience is the same. The difference for me, and the main reason to upgrade, it is lighter, which is important for cycling mounts and the corners are round and the screen is flat. That makes it perfectly protectable in combination with the lower weight. For my needs and the possibility to pass on the old device in my family, and get lower carrier fees, which I had to negotiate, it was a good deal for me. If it is the same for your situation, you are the only one who can answer the question. From a pure technical view, even a 4 year old flagship will still do the job perfectly.

      I should do a more through test, I'm currently taking more pictures and comparing it to S23, will publish a new video soon. The 3X sensor in S24 is new and the quality is visibly different than S23, but not necessarily for the better... I still think there are not many cameras that perform better than S24 except iPhone Pro Max and Galaxy Ultra.

    • @techmo2020
      @techmo2020  10 месяцев назад +2

      To be honest I made this review before I did a through tests on Exynos. Originally I bought this device to keep it and I was very excited, as you probably notice from my tone in the review. After my own tests results and test results from GSMArena, I realized the Exynos variant having serious thermal and battery issues, and S24+ lasts less than S23+ which is insane considering the larger battery it has. To me Exynos on S24+ is better than S24, S24+ is bigger and has a larger capacity of battery, hence you won't notice the difference as much as you would notice between S24 and S23. I am very conflicted on S24+ right now, I can just tell you personally I sold my unit and I kept S24 Ultra :) If you have access to S24+ Snapdragon, that's another story and it would be an instant buy for me.

      USA and China have snapdragon in each model, rest of the world is f...d up with exynos in base models...and prices are the same in Us and Europe. In Europe we get the same price as US but in place of snapdragon we get the shitty exynos once again...I guess s23 was just a test run...EU should demand equal products or ban on the market, either everyone gets the same product world wide or ban, selling worse product for the same money is not right.
